    3. The Derrick, March 3, 2009: Judith L. "Judy" Case, New Bethlehem Kathryn S. Morris, Kinsman, Ohio Jane M. Motter, Oil City Louis L. Parisse, formerly of 95 Beech Drive, Franklin Timothy Zillifro, McMurray, formerly of Oil City Judith L. "Judy" Case, 71, of New Bethlehem, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home following an illness. Born Nov. 26, 1937, in Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Wilhelm Dansak and Dorothy Wolfarth Dansak. She was a graduate of the Shadyside Academy with a registered nursing degree and was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Case was a McKeesport native and moved to the New Bethlehem area in 1966. She worked for Dr. Joseph Salisbury and then Dr. Fred Nungesser, and she retired from Laurel Eye Clinic, where she was an assistant and secretary. She was an avid fan of Redbank Valley sports and was known for her baggy of Swedish Fish. Mrs. Case is survived by three sons, Jeffrey L. Case and his wife, Marcia, of West Chester, Gerald "Jerry" Case of Elizabethtown and Gary R. Case and his wife, Tamara, of Seminole; a daughter, Darla Fox and her husband, Eric, of Sligo; 11 grandchildren, Tucker, Annie, Alison, Tyler, Braden, Logan, Erin, Justin, Ryan, Danica and Delany; and seven great-grandchildren, Sterling, Brennah, Rhiannon, Lilliane, Nolan, Hunter and Addison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Rupert Funeral Home in New Bethlehem. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born Jan. 24, 1961, she was the daughter of Ernest Dawson and Carolyn Gardner Dawson. Mrs. Morris was married Nov. 26, 1977, to James E. Morris Jr., who survives. She was a parts runner for Schimley's Excavating in Niles, Ohio. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mecca, Ohio and attended the Rock of Grace Family Ministries in Kinsman. Mrs. Morris enjoyed gardening, garage sales and decorating her home. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morris is survived by her mother, Carolyn Dawson, of Lordstown, Ohio; her father, Ernest Dawson and his wife, Barb, of Franklin; two daughters, Candace M. James of Cullman, Ala. and Charidy M. Brown of Kinsman, Ohio; a son, James E. Morris III and his wife, Shaunah, of Kinsman, Ohio; a sister, Brenda K. Armstrong of Berlin Center, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Baumgardner Funeral Home in Kinsman, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Rock of Grace Family Ministries Church, 6745 Warren Meadville Road., Kinsman, Ohio. Motter, 75, of Oil City, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, at the Clarion Hospital following a lengthy illness. A complete obituary will be published Wednesday in The Derrick. Arrangements are being handled by Faller Funeral Home, Inc. of Fryburg. Louis L. Parisse, 86, a former resident of 95 Beech Drive, Franklin, died peacefully at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, in Sugar Creek Station, where he had resided since Oct. 1, 2008. Born Sept. 27, 1922, in Washington, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Josephine Pugielli Parisse. He was married Nov. 25, 1948, in Washington, where he and his wife resided until 1950, to the former Carmella L. "Lena" Falvo, who preceded him in death Dec. 14, 2007. Mr. Parisse received his early education in Washington, Pa.,and graduated from Washington High School in 1941. Upon graduation, he served as a technician 3rd grade with the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a heavy artillery mechanic with the 249th Ordnance Co. Upon his honorable discharge from active duty, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, The European American Theater Service Medal and the Victory Medal. After his military service, Mr. Parisse returned home to Washington and enrolled in Washington & Jefferson College. He graduated with highest honors from W & J in 1949 with a B.S. degree in chemistry. Mr. Parisse joined Kopper's of Oil City in 1950 as a plant chemist. During his early employment, he gained 18 years of experience in process and product development and quality control. He was promoted to lab supervisor in 1956 and to chief chemist in 1962. He was chief chemist until a promotion to general foreman of the company in 1977. Mr. Parisse was awarded several U.S. patents on the processing and purification of chemicals related directly to the Oil City plant. Throughout his entire life, Mr. Parisse was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and pitching horseshoes, as he was able. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In his spare time, he was an accomplished woodworker. Mr. Parisse's greatest love was baseball, and although he was never able to aspire to a career in professional baseball as he would have liked, he relished coaching Little League and Junior League baseball in the area. Mr. Parisse was a member of St. Patrick Church of Franklin, the Knights of Columbus and the American Chemical Society, and he served for many years on the Franklin General Authority. He was also among the charter members of the Washington Independent Political Club of Washington. Mr. Parisse is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Romano and her husband, Bruce, of Madison, Ohio; a son, Samuel L. Parisse of Indiana, Pa.; three beloved grandchildren whom he cherished, Anne-Marie Layhue and her husband, Josh, of Smithfield, and Michael L Romano and Kristina P. Romano, both of Madison, Ohio; and a sister, Elizabeth Pilch of North East. In addition to his wife of 59 years and his parents, Mr. Parisse was preceded in death by a brother, John Parisse. In accord with his wishes, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Church in Franklin with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Washington, with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty St., Franklin; or the VNA of Venango County Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin. Arrangements are being handled by the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin. Timothy Zillifro, 49, of McMurray, formerly of Oil City, died suddenly Sunday, March 1, 2009. Mourning Tim's tragic loss are his beloved wife, Pam Zillifro, and his loving stepchildren, Meghan Leigh Marraccini and Marshall Marraccini III. Tim will also be deeply missed by his adoring parents, Edward and Donna Zillifro of Oil City, where he was born and raised. His parents now reside in Slippery Rock. Tim is also survived by his loving sister Traci Zillifro Smith and her husband, Jeff, of Slippery Rock, and brother Todd Zillifro and his wife, Debbie, of Magnolia, Texas. He will be remembered with affection and admiration by his niece and nephews, Alexandra and Logan Smith and Zachary Nelson and Jacob Zillifro. In addition to being a devoted family man, Tim was an avid golfer and passionate sports fan, and he enjoyed skiing and long walks with his dog, C.J. He graduated from Venango Christian High School in 1978, and he was a 1982 graduate of Penn State University and a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Tim earned his masters degree from Duquesne University. He was a successful businessman who owned and operated financial organizations serving the mortgage industry. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at Beinhauers Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray. A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
