Theuret, Lobaugh Hill Road, Rimersburg Richard L. Wayland, Greenville William Bruce Beal, 79, of 583 Noggle Road, Polk, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at his residence. Born Jan. 8, 1930, in Meyersdale, Somerset County, he was the son of Walter Beal and the former Mary Ethel Good. Mr. Beal worked as a fabricator for Mica in Cleveland. After his retirement from Mica, he worked as a guard at Electralloy. He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. Mr. Beal enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, farming and woodworking. He married Marlene Beal on Jan. 11, 1967, and she preceded him in death June 14, 2006. Mr. Beal is survived by four children, Glenn Beal and his wife, Melissa, of Brookville, Frank Beal of Phoenix, Ariz., Susan Myers of Polk and Kathy Ramsdale and her husband, Charles Ramsdale Jr., of Loveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Menessa Beal of Brookville, Glenn Beal Jr. and his wife, Jen, of Brookville, William Beal of Brookville, Daniel Rhodes Jr. and his wife, Jena, of Oil City, Matthew Rhoads and his wife, Michelle, of Washington, Pa., Mindy Sue Rhoads of Darmstadt, Germany, and Jason Ramsdale and Kristin Ramsdale, both of Warren, Ohio; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley and Dinah; and one brother, Charles. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Beal was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Born Nov. 23, 1917, in Corsica, she was the daughter of the late Geroge Coulter and Grace Clinger Coulter. She was a 1936 graduate of Corsica Union High School. She was married April 17, 1937, at St. Ann Church in Corsica to Joseph Arthur Clark, and he preceded her in death Sept. 30, 2006. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Brookville for many years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo with her Jefferson Manor family. Mrs. Clark is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Sally) Bish and Mrs. David (Nancy) Armagost, both of Corsica, and Mrs. Walt (Cathy) Neal of Brookville; three sisters-in-law, Lou Ella Clark and Jane Mohney of Corsica and Anna Mae Theiss of Hermitage; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Dunkerley, 76, of Applewood Valley Road, Clarion, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Shippenville. Born in Blacktown, Mercer County, on April 7, 1932, he was the son of Clyde Dunkerley and the former Margaret Williams, and they both preceded him in death. He was married Aug. 16, 1979, to Carmella DeSanto, and she survives. Mr. Dunkerley served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Clarion, where he sang in the church choir and served on the church's board of trustees, the pastor parish committee and the finance committee. He graduated from Grove City High School in 1949, the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Bank Operations School at Penn State University in 1959 and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Bank Lending School at Bucknell University in 1960. He also graduated from the Mid-West Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin after attending that school from 1963 to 1965. Mr. Dunkerley served as CEO, president and chairman of the board of directors of First United National Bank until his retirement. He began his banking career with Grove City National Bank in 1950 until Grove City National merged with Northwest Pennsylvania Bank and Trust. He then became branch manager in Emlenton, and he also served in the Mercer, Oil City and Clarion offices. He was a former member of the Grove City Kiwanis Club, serving as president, secretary and treasurer. He was also a troop leader with the Grove City Boy Scouts, a charter member of the Grove City Spebsqua chapter and chairman of the Grove City United Way in 1960. Mr. Dunkerley was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Mercer Rotary Club, treasurer for a Salvation Army unit, a member of the Mercer County Bankers Association, president of the Mercer County AIB, and president of the Clarion Rotary Club in 1985-86 and a member of Rotary's board of directors for eight years. He was also a member of the Clarion Development Corp. board of directors in 1988, a member of the Clarion County Crime Stoppers board of directors, a fund drive leader for Clarion Fire and Hose Co., and president of Riverhill Service Inc. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dunkerley is survived by one son, Douglas Edward Dunkerley and his wife, Sandra, of McMurray; one daughter, Linda Grieff and her husband, Bob, of Emlenton; one stepson, Clark Maxwell of Pittsburgh; one stepdaughter, Ruth Enright and her husband, Jack, of Garnet Valley; and one sister, Louise Gross of Blacktown. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Chad Grieff, Lacey McNany, Mark and Eric Dunkerley, and John, Jenna and Jeff Enright; and five great-grandchildren. Kelley, 81, of 7382 Route 36, P.O. Box 82, Sigel, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Brookville Hospital. Born Dec. 15, 1927, in Sigel, he was the son of Park G. Kelley and Twila Gumbert Kelley. He was married Feb. 25, 1950, in Sigel to June Silvis Kelley, and she survives. Mr. Kelley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked 41 years for National Fuel Gas Co. in Sigel in pipeline field operations. Mr. Kelley was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church in Sigel, where he served as an elder. He was also a member of Sigel Volunteer Fire Department, Eldred Township Water Authority, Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Cemetery Association and Hobah Masonic Lodge 276 Free and Accepted Masons of Brookville. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Coudersport Consistory. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kelley is survived by one son, Scott Donald Kelley of Catoosa, Okla.; one daughter, Rhonda Kelley White of McMurray; five grandchildren, Jordan Kelley, Britni Kelley Houglan, Alecia White, Bethany White and Matthew White; and two great-grandchildren, Paityn Houglan and Carter Houglan. Ronald Mahood, 61, of Clintonville, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Beaver Medical Center in Beaver after an extended illness. Born Jan. 20, 1948, he was the son of Richard and Edith Mahood. Mr. Mahood graduated from Grove City High School, and he attended the New Castle School of Trades. He was married to Rose Ealy, who survives. Mr. Mahood was retired from Truck Stop of America in Barkeyville where he was a janitor. Mr. Mahood enjoyed working in the yard and playing bingo. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Arther Gravatt and his wife, Beatrice, of West Sunbury, David Gravatt of Ohio and Darlene Perrine of West Sunbury; one sister, Thelma Sowers of Grove City; and four brothers, Joseph Mahood of Karns City, Edward Mahood of Clintonville, Paul Mahood of Polk and Richard Mahood of Clintonville. Box 106, Blue Ridge Road, Clarington, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Jefferson Manor Health Center in Brookville. Born Aug. 7, 1937, in Fremont, Ohio, he was the son of Clarence Edward McRobbie and Mabel Emery McRobbie. He married the former Alice F. Abbott on Feb. 7, 1959, in Clyde, Ohio, and she survives. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 7, 2009. Mr. McRobbie was a sergeant major in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he retired after 26 years. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was employed as a machinist and as a truck driver for Snyder Trucking Co. He enjoyed woodworking at North Wales Millwork in Pennsylvania, he was a former bus driver for East Forest schools, and he was a tool repairman with New Era Homes in Strattanville. Mr. McRobbie belonged to Sigel United Methodist Church, where he was a past lay speaker; and Hobah Lodge 276 Free and Accepted Masons of Brookville, where he was a past worshipful master. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Coudersport Consisterory, a life member of the Marienville VFW and a member of the Clarion American Legion In addition to his wife, Mr. McRobbie is survived by one daughter, Cindy Lauer of Trevose and her husband, Kais Lauer, of Langhorne; one son, Robert Scott McRobbie of Leeds, Mass.; one brother, William (Billy) McRobbie of Greenspring, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Justin Abbott Lauer and Lindsay Marie Lauer. In addition to his parents, Mr. McRobbie was preceded in death by twin sisters Debbie and Diane McRobbie; and grandparents Fred and Martha Emery, who raised Lowell from a child. She was born March 16, 1933, in Widnoon, Armstrong County, and she was the daughter of Byron "Barney" Anthony and Flora Belle Greenawalt Anthony. She was affiliated with Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church near Rimersburg and had attended school in Kittanning. Mrs. Painter enjoyed her family and grandchildren and loved to cook, hunt and fish. She was employed for a time at Kellogg Corp. in Omaha, Neb., as a production worker. She married Rubye O. Painter on Sept. 13, 1952, and he survives. Mrs. Painter is also survived by two sons, Terry A. Painter of Rimersburg and Shawn P. Painter of Rimersburg; one daughter, Rhonda R. Jack of Edgewood; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Betty Unger and her husband, Albert, of Kittanning, Shirley Schaeffer and her husband, Wayne, of Kittanning, Kay C. Lemmon and her husband, Robert, of Kittanning, and Sharon Matson and her husband, Jerry, of Raleigh, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Wayland, 80, of 105 8th Ave., Hempfield Township, Greenville, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 14, 1928, in Summerville, he was the son of Milton Wayland and Sue Yoder Wayland. He attended Sligo High School. Mr. Wayland was employed for 30 years as a furnace operator at Sawhill Tubular in Wheatland, retiring in 1984. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greenville. Mr. Wayland served as a corporal in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-50. His hobbies included collecting coins, antiques and Zippo lighters. Mr. Wayland married the former Martha E. Dunlap on Jan. 24, 1949, and she survives in Greenville. He is also survived by two brothers, Fordyce Wayland of Butler and Douglas Thomas of Evans City. Mr. Wayland was preceded in death by his father, Milton Wayland; his mother, Sue Thomas and her husband, John; and two sisters, Lois E. Silves and Darlene Best.
