Terence Domres memorial slated Getting it right - Kenneth Dean Simpson Yvonne R. McNerney, 74, of 279 Linden Ave., Oil City, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Oct. 25, 1934, in Oil City, she was a beloved daughter of the late Robert E. and Marian Graham McNerney. She was a 1952 graduate of Oil City High School. Yvonne began her working career in 1952 as a printing machine operator at The Derrick Publishing Co. of Oil City, where she worked until 1958. Following her tenure with The Derrick, she worked for 37 years as a printing press operator with Quaker State Oil Co. She had always looked forward to and attended the annual Quaker State employee reunion dinners. She was an active and faithful member of St. Joseph Church in Oil City and was a member of the Prime Timers group of the church. She is survived by a son, Kevin M. McNerney of Oil City; cousins Helen Marie Zimmerman and her husband, Ted, of Cheektowaga, N.Y., and their children, Kathleen, David and Colleen, Claire Marie Farrell and her husband, Tim, Sister Carol McNerney, SSJ, and Janet McNerney, all of Erie. She is also survived by a dear friend, Jeanette Biltz of Oil City. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin. The family will also receive friends from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, Oil City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church with Monsignor John Swoger, St. Joseph pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Stella Patricia Petrovich, 79, of Smethport, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Bradford Regional Medical Center. Born June 25, 1929, in Cambria County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella Domino Lazarowicz. She was married Sept. 4, 1948, to John "Petty" Petrovich, who preceded her in death Oct. 5, 2008. Mrs. Petrovich worked for 35 years for Morgan Drive Away as a dispatcher. She was a member of the Smethport Fire Department ladies auxiliary. Mrs. Petrovich is survived by two daughters, Donna Wolbert and her husband, Gary "Pete", of Leeper, and Sally Dostine of Hollywood, Fla.; and six siblings, Anna Mae Lucas of Homer City, Walter Lazarowicz and his wife, Virginia, of Cleveland, Ohio, Agnes Roser and her husband, Charles, of Homer City, Ruth Ellen Miller of Indiana, Pa., Frank Lazarowicz of Coral and Theresa Mosco and her husband, Eugene, of Blairsville. Also surviving are five grandchildren and their spouses, Charlie and Kelly Minor, Christina Minor, Milica Kuester and her husband, Paul Kuester, Anne Tesar and her husband, Dr. Paul J. Tesar, and Shane Wolbert; and six great-grandchildren In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Lazarowicz; and a sister, Marcella Murphy. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church in Crown with the Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Jane Louise Hughes Welms Robison, 81, of 8 Pearl Ave, Oil City, and Tavares, Fla., died Thursday, April 9, 2009, in Tavares, Fla. Born Dec. 13, 1927, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Perry C. and Dora E. Henderson Hughes. She was first married to Carl J. Welms, who preceded her in death. In 1988, she married Basil W. Robison, who survives. The couple spent their winters at Holiday Mobile Park, Tavares, Fla. She was a 1945 graduate of Franklin High School. After graduating, she worked as an operator for the old General Telephone Co, and then as a secretary for Pennzoil in Rouseville. She also worked at Oilwell Supply Corp. After her daughter was born, she went to work for Worthington until they moved out of Oil City at which time she went to work for National Fuel Gas until her retirement in 1988. Jane had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family, particularly her daughter and her sisters. She was close to many of the people she had worked with and was loved by her friends in both Oil City and Tavares. She enjoyed doing things with her friends and family, traveling, gambling, reading, doing puzzles and cheering the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jane is survived by one daughter, Deborah L. Welms Myers and her husband, James Myers, of Cochranton; a stepdaughter, Patti Reed and her husband, John, of Oil City; a sister, Joanne Nesselhauf of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl; two brothers, Chester D. Hughes and Paul H. Hughes; three sisters, Margaret L. Watt, Edna M. Smith and Helyn Stainbrook; a stepson, Ted Robison; and a dear sister-in-law, Rosalie Riley. A memorial service will be held in May in Oil City, prior to which a notice will be placed in the newspaper with the information. Terence Domres memorial slated A memorial service for Terence Domres will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God in Oil City. Mr. Domres, 52, of 5670 Route 322, Franklin, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in his home. The Rev. Brenda Snedden, pastor of the First Church of God, will officiate at the service. The church is located at 11 E. Eighth St. in Oil City. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family to help defray funeral expenses. Getting it right - Kenneth Dean Simpson Kenneth Dean Simpson, 83, of Colerain Street, Sligo, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Clarion Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Simpson is survived by five step-grandchildren, including Paula J. Davis and her husband, Justin, of Rimersburg.
