Barrett, 54, of 733 Pioneer Road, Franklin, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his residence from a long-term illness. Born July 30, 1954, in Franklin, he was the son of James C. Barrett and Anna Barrett. Mr. Barrett was employed at Franklin Bronze. He enjoyed driving his Corvette, working on house projects and spending time with his family. Mr. Barrett is survived by one son, Andy Barrett and his fiancee, Amanda; one granddaughter, Breanna Bennett of Franklin; two sisters, Sheila Lester and her husband, Richard, of Eureka, Calif., and Linda Barrett of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and two brothers, Joel Barrett of Mission Viejo, Calif., and John Barrett of San Pedro, Calif. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews from California; two best friends, Kerry and Susan Green of Franklin; and a family friend, Terry Weber, also of Franklin. Born July 13, 1925, in Eagle Rock, she was a daughter of Simon Warren Henry and Beatrix Mae Sparks Bills. Mrs. Callahan worked at the Oil City Glass plant and then moved to Pittsburgh, where she worked at a hinge factory. She enjoyed country living, her animals and wildlife. Mrs. Callahan was a very giving and loving person. She is survived by four brothers, Emmel Bills of Eagle Rock, Warren Bills of Reva, Va., Lyall Bills of Erie and Thomas Bills of Rouseville; one sister, Lois Krebs of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Mae Jenson and Leola Moon; and one brother, Francis Bills. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, in Calvary Temple in Oil City with the Rev. Rudy Rimer officiating. Interment will be in Sparks Cemetery at Eagle Rock. Fox, 61, of 737 McCalmont St., Franklin, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at UPMC Northwest Medical Center, following an extended illness. Born Sept. 23, 1947, in Oil City, he was the son of Jack W. and Esther Stover Fox, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married June 8, 2008, to Charlotte Adams, who survives. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in June 2008. He graduated in 1965 from Cranberry High School. He retired in 2001 from National Fuel, where he had worked for more than 30 years. His duties included print shop worker, photographer, meter truck driver and warehouse worker. Prior to that he worked at General Manifold as a purchasing agent. Mr.. Fox was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Franklin, the Oil City Izaak Walton League, the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited. He was also a former member of Sugarcreek Borough Council. He was active in the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Junior Achievement and supported Boys Town Charity. He enjoyed photography, cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, automobiles and, most of all, his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bryan Fox and Adam Fox and his wife, Susan, all of Franklin; four grandchildren, Olivia Fox, Emily Fox, Zachery Fox and Noah Fox, all of Franklin; and one sister, Jeanne Perry of Cranberry. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Charlotte Adams of Oil City, and two special friends, Charles and Carolyn Porter of Franklin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, David V. Perry, and his father-in-law, William R. Adams. Greenlee Sr., 73, of 914 Route 427, Franklin, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his residence. Born Aug. 20, 1935, in Polk, he was the son of the late Robert H. Greenlee and Georgia Mook. He was married Sept. 18, 1959, to the former Doris Boughner, who survives. Mr. Greenlee was a laborer for Franklin Steel. He was a peacetime veteran. He was a member of Moose Club 83, Eagles Club 328 and VFW Post 1835. Mr. Greenlee enjoyed hunting and motorcycles, and he was a NASCAR fan. In addition to his wife, Mr. Greenlee is survived by four children, LeRoy Greenlee Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Franklin, Robert Greenlee and his wife, Melissa, of Franklin, Michael Greenlee and his wife, Lucy, of Cochranton and Christie Senger and her husband, Richard, of Houston, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Erika Greenlee and Courtney Greenlee, both of Franklin, Jesse Senger and Joel Senger, both of Houston, Texas, and Keith Lepley, Casey Greenlee and Colton Greenlee, all of Cochranton. Isabel "Izzy" Helbig, 75, of Corsica, formerly of Pittsburgh, died peacefully Monday, April 27, 2009, surrounded by family. Frank Schaeffer Jr., 92, of Country Springs, Sligo, a former resident of Wilson Avenue in Clarion and a veteran of World War II, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo. Born Sept. 10, 1916, in Parker, he was the son of Frank Schaeffer Sr. and Nellie Cratty Schaeffer. He was married Oct. 27, 1939, to the former Irene Stark, who preceded him in death June 3, 2008. Mr. Schaeffer was a welder for Owen-Illinois Glass. During World War II, his bomb squadron dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Mr. Schaeffer enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating on the river in his younger days. He then enjoyed golfing after his retirement. He is survived by a nephew, Henry V. Schaeffer and his wife, Nancy, of Sligo; a great-nephew, Michael Schaeffer of Sligo; three great-nieces, Debbie Kennedy of South Carolina, Sherry Laughlin of Sligo and Judy Kifer of Curllsville; a brother, Andy Schaeffer of Erie; and two sister-in-laws, Margret Smith of Warren and Martha Schaeffer of Oil City. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walt Schaeffer and Link Schaeffer; and one sister, Helen Drum. Shilliday, 71, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., formerly of Franklin, died Sunday, March 1, 2009. He graduated from Franklin High School and Clarion State College, and he received a master's degree from Arizona State University. Mr. Shilliday was preceded in death by a brother, James, of Franklin. Ronald Lewis Tarr, 38, of 1605 Berlin St., Wilmington, Del., formerly of Oil City and Clarion, died suddenly Thursday, April 16, 2009. Born March 15, 1971, in Quincy, Mass., he was the son of Timothy L. Tarr of Clarion and Bonnie J. Tighe of Homer City. He was a 1990 graduate of Clarion High School, where he completed the welding program. He played football as a defensive lineman. Mr. Tarr worked as a welder and metal fabricator for several steel erection companies in the Wilmington area. He is survived by his girlfriend, Gina Flickinger of Wilmington, with whom he resided. Ronald loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, swimming, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed repairing and rebuilding automobiles and motorcycles. Ron was kind-hearted, possessed a great sense of humor, and lived life on his terms to the fullest. In addition to his parents and girlfriend, Mr. Tarr is survived by his stepmother, Jane Fox Tarr of Clarion; his stepfather, Joseph Tighe of Homer City; a sister, Deborah Jan Siech and her husband, Ron, of Homer City; a niece, Ashley Bostaph of Homer City; his maternal grandmother, Grace Carson of Cranberry; an aunt, Carol Luton and her husband, Curt, of Oil City; three uncles, David Carson and his wife, Kim, of Newport News, Va., Kenneth Carson and his wife, Julie, of Oil City and Terry Carson and his wife, Chris, of Oil City; and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his family away from home -- the Wallaces of Wilmington. Throughout the years, Ron became an intricate part of the Wallace family, who valued his friendship, kindness and thoughtfulness. He was like a brother to Scott and Nora and an uncle to their daughters, Meghan, Erin, Bridget and Devin. Ronald was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Oscar Lewis Tarr; his paternal grandmother, Eileen Graybill Tarr, both of Oil City; his maternal grandfather, Ronald Carson of Cranberry; and his cousin, Jennifer Luton of Oil City.
