Glass, Lime Plant Road, Parker Mary Kathryn "Cassie" Hobaugh, 527 Fifth Ave., Ford City Roger D. Kahle, Shippenville Sharon L. Murray, Sugar Creek Station, formerly of Oil City Douglas W. Steinman, Lake Lucy Ruth Cochran Bouch, 84, of 896 Catholic Church Road, Sigel, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 17, 1924, in Coolspring, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Mae and Walter Cochran, and grandfather, Alex Cochran. Mrs. Bouch was a homemaker and previously worked for 13 years as a tube processor at Brookville Sylvania. She always gave of herself in assisting other people. She was a member of Sigel Homemakers for 10 years and served on the Eldred Township Board of Elections for 20 years. She was married Aug. 1, 1958, in Toms River, N.J., to Wesley Bouch, who survives. Survivors also include a son, Darl Bouch of Laceyville; two daughters, Cheryl Bouch of Sigel and Mrs. Chris (Karen) Gilhousen of Sigel; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Tiffany, Conan and Dane Gilhousen, all of Sigel, and Renee Bouch of Laceyville. Also surviving are three step-grandchildren, Debra Dexter of Laceyville, Diane Dexter of LeRayville and Andrew Dexter of New Albany; and three step-great-grandchildren, Keirstey Davis, Brianna Lane and Trace Lane, all of Laceyville. Visitation will be at the time of the funeral services, which will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sigel United Methodist Church, Sigel, with the Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating. Interment will be at Coolspring Cemetery, Oliver Township, Jefferson County. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Sigel United Methodist Church, P.O. Linda Ann Calton, 47, of Main Street, Corsica, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her home. Born May 19, 1961, in Clarion, she was a daughter of Walter Walter and Ethel Ryan Walter. Mrs. Calton was a homemaker. Surviving are a son, Joshua Calton of Clarion; a daughter, Kristy Calton who is serving in the Army National Guard in Oklahoma; three brothers, Fritz Walter of Brookville, Ron Walter of Reynoldsville and Tim Walter of Streetsboro, Ohio; three sisters, Cindy Brandon of Leeper, Lois Trappen of Pittsburgh and Karen Lubic of Gibsonia; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vicky Baughman. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion. Glass, 74, of Lime Plant Road, Parker, Perry Township, Clarion County, died Saturday morning, April 11, 2009, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 16, 1934, on the family homestead on Lime Plant Road, he was the son of Cecil L. and Anna M. Hamilton Glass. Mr. Glass was a patriotic American and was proud of his distinguished military career. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served two tours in Vietnam and was the recipient of the Bronze Star, as well as various other medals and commendations. Prior to his 22-year career in the Air Force, Mr. Glass served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Glass retired from military service in 1975. He later was employed by Witco Chemical Co. in Petrolia, and Superior Absorbents in Emlenton. He enjoyed working outside around his home. He was a coin collector and a practical jokester. Mr. Glass was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed reading books about history and the military and enjoyed watching political and current events on television. He was married on Nov. 24, 1960, in Peru, Ind., to the former Anna P. Schardan, who preceded him in death June 15, 2008. He is survived by a son, retired U.S. Army Warrant Officer Gregory G. Glass of Evans, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. (Thomas) Tamara L. Ozechoski of Altoona and Carolyn R. Armstrong of Enterprise, Ala. Survivors also include five grandchildren, Kendra, Jennifer, Jacob, Marissa, and Tyler; five brothers, Robert L. Glass and his wife, Darlene, of New Castle, retired U.S. Air Force Major Carl L. Glass and his wife, Ra, of Yorktown, Va., Stanley R. Glass of Pittsburgh, Tech. Sgt. John E. Glass and his wife, Tess, of Cocoa, Fla, and retired U.S. Air Force Sgt. Howard E. Glass and his wife, Julie, of Grove City. Also surviving are three sisters also survive including, Bessie M. Rankin of Franklin, Virginia Myers and her husband, Duane, of Clarion, and Karen Pittman and her husband, Lloyd, of New Cumberland, W.Va.; a brother in-law, Orville J. Anderson of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Rice. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hile Funeral Home, 802 Grove Street, Saint Petersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Myers, a United Methodist pastor, officiating. Military honors will accorded by the VETS Honor Guard of Franklin. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind. Mary Kathryn "Cassie" Hobaugh, 74, of 527 Fifth Ave., Ford City, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at her residence. Born May 22, 1934, in Ford City, she was a daughter of Charles Bradley Bower and Emily Kathryn Pratti Bower. In 1956, Mrs. Hobaugh graduated as a registered nurse from Allegheny General Hospital. She was a member of Christ Prince of Peace Parish in Ford City. She enjoyed genealogy, coin collecting and Santas. She loved to play on the computer and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was married Jan. 19, 1957, to Edward R. Hobaugh, who survives. Survivors also include her mother, Emily Bower of Ford City; two sons, Bradley E. Hobaugh of Kittanning and Brian L. Hobaugh and his wife, Marjorie, of Valencia; a daughter, Pamela J. Hobaugh of Ford City; and two grandsons, Edward J. Hobaugh and Brian L. Hobaugh Jr. Also surviving are a brother and his wife, Charles P. and Dorothy Bower of Moon Township; and a sister and her husband, Dorothy J. and Kenneth Mechling of Clarion. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Anthony Bower. Murray, 59, a resident of Sugar Creek Station, formerly of Oil City, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Sugar Creek Station. Born Nov. 1, 1949, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Anna May Bickel Osgood and the late Richard Lee Osgood. Mrs. Murray graduated from high school in Mentor, Ohio. Surviving are her mother, Elizabeth Osgood of Sugarcreek; a daughter, Darlene Daly of Oil City; three grandchildren, Lance, Samantha and Lisa of Oil City; a brother, John Osgood of Seneca; and a sister, Sandy Osgood of Madison, Ohio.
