    3. The Derrick, April 3, 2009: Pamela Jean Crusan, 9 Crestview Drive, Franklin Doris N. Flack, formerly of the Franklin area Alberta I. Himes, Golden Living Center, Shippenville Bert E. Johnson, 410 North St., Oil City Glenn Moyer, 48 Carson Ave., Oil City Pamela Jean Crusan, 44, of 9 Crestview Drive, Apt. 103, Franklin, died at 12:36 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at UPMC Northwest. Born Oct. 31, 1964, in Bremerton, Wash., she was the daughter of the late Daryl Vogan and Mary Fornoff. Ms. Crusan was disabled. She was a member of Franklin Foursquare Church. Her daughter was the love of her life. In addition to her parents, Ms. Crusan is survived by one child, Cheyenne Crusan of Polk; four stepsons, Donald Spencer of Oil City, Gerald Crusan of Oil City, Shawn Crusan of Oil City and Ira L. Crusan of Iraq; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Cooley of Franklin; and five step-grandchildren, Lilliana Spencer of Oil City, Baylee Spencer of Oil City, Tara Cooley of Franklin, Katie Cooley of Franklin and Erin Cooley of Franklin. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas Vogan of Bay City, Mich., and Doug Vogan of Seale, Ala. In addition to her parents, Ms. Crusan was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Spencer. Funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Gardinier Funeral Home Inc. of Franklin. Condolences may be sent online at www.gardinierfuneralhome.com Doris N. Flack, 77, a former Franklin area resident, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009, at her home in Portland, Ore. She was born May 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Nathan L. and Ellen P. Barnett Timmis. Alberta I. Himes, 94, of Golden Living Center, Shippenville, a former Clarion resident, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville. Born Nov. 21, 1914, in Frogtown, Limestone Township, she was the daughter of Arthur M. and Claire Mercer Miller. She was married Sept. 3, 1955, to Charles Donald Himes, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Himes was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Rehobeth-Greenville Presbyterian Church, and she enjoyed gardening and traveling. She worked for Reinsel's Clover Farm Store in Frogtown and then ran the Himes Red & White in Limestone Township with her husband. She later worked at the Clarion Frozen Food Locker. Mrs. Himes is survived by three sons, Donald B. Himes and his wife, Sandra, of Strattanville, William Himes and his wife, Linda, of Rimersburg and Charles L. Himes and his wife, Bonnie, of Strattanville; five daughters, Joan Bell of Hubbard, Ohio, Ellen Daugherty of Clarion, Shirley Marshall and her husband, Charles, of Punxsutawney, Pearl Coppini and her husband, Peter, of Caledonia, N.Y. and Debra Guntrum and her husband, Tim, of Clarion. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 45 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Himes was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Collins; a brother, a sister, a grandson, a granddaughter and three sons-in-law. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. James Dietrich officiating. Interment will follow in New Rehobeth Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Rehobeth-Greenville Presbyterian Church, Clarion, 16214. Online condolences may be sent to www.goblefh.net. Bert E. Johnson, 51, of 410 North St., Oil City, died 9:58 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at UPMC Northwest, after a bout with cancer. Born March 27, 1958, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Elsie Erhart Johnson. He was a graduate of Oil City High School and has lived in the Rocky Grove and Oil City area all of his life. Mr. Johnson was employed as a truck driver for KEI Trucking in Oil City and had also driven for W.L. Dunn Trucking. His hobbies included watching Nascar racing and professional wrestling. He is survived by his companion of over 15 years, Martha D. Clonch of Oil City; two brothers, Richard A. Johnson and his wife, Dixie, of Oil City and James R. Johnson and his wife, Tammy, of Franklin; two sisters, Agnes Goodman of Franklin and Judy Exley and her husband, Richard, of Franklin; four stepsons, Leslie S. Hale, Johnny Clonch, Brian Updegraff and Randall Clonch; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Hutchinson Funeral Home, 201 Bissell Ave., Oil City. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery of Oil City. Glenn Moyer, 78, of 48 Carson Ave., Oil City, died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Titusville Area Hospital. Born Dec. 22, 1930, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Merritt and Hazel Bush Moyer. Mr. Moyer attended Oil City High School and lived in the Oil City area his entire life. He worked for more than 30 years at the Oil City/Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Rouseville as an electrician until the plant closed. He then worked as a maintenance man at the Oil City YMCA for a number of years. Mr. Moyer was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Oil City and was an avid golfer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of corporal. Mr. Moyer is survived by two sisters, Vera Moyer of Oil City and Donna Lineman of Seneca; two nieces, Rose Ann Smith of Oil City and Tracey Lineman of York; and two nephews, Jeff Smith of Oil City and Derrick Smith of Emlenton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moyer was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Moyer, Alice Smith and Bernice Moyer; a brother, Eugene Moyer; and a niece, Elista Phillipi. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hutchinson Funeral Home, 201 Bissell Ave., Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Davis, pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church, officiating.
