    3. The Derrick, February 4, 2009: Roberta M. Fry, 7 East Second St., Oil City Melvin T. McCall, Oxford, Fla., formerly of New Bethlehem Eva M. Miller, 2161 SR 157, Oil City, Pinegrove Township Getting it right - Ruth I. Wolfgang Roberta M. Fry, 73, of 7 E. Second St., died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at the Oil City Presbyterian Home. Born Aug. 28, 1935, in Boston, Mass., she was a daughter of Doris Josselyn Nauseda. Mrs. Fry worked in the food industry. She was married to Harvey Walter Fry, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Fry is survived by two sons, Mark Fry of Lancaster, and David Fry of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Theresa O'Brien of Brocton, Mass.; and three grandchildren, Hunter Fry of Lancaster, and Megan and Matthew O' Brien of Brockton, Mass. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Nelson. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Oil City Presbyterian Home. Melvin Thomas McCall, 71 of Oxford, Fla., formerly of New Bethlehem, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, near his home. Born Oct. 17, 1937, he was the son of Ward B. and Helen L. Carberry McCall. He was married July 3, 1958, to Barbara Sloan, who survives. Mr. McCall was retired and enjoyed his hobby farm, raising cattle and keeping busy. Since he relocated to Oxford, Fla., in 1984, he was often heard saying, "It doesn't get any better than this." He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife and mother, Helen L. McCall, Mr. McCall is survived by three children, Michael and Vanessa of Scottsmoor, Fla., Pamela and Grover Stewart of Oxford, Fla., and Robert and Cheryl McCall of Summerfield, Fla.; six grandchildren, Doug Stewart and Brendan, Cassandra, Nathan, Trentan and Lucas McCall. He is also survived by three brothers, Clair "Bub," Carl "Bay," and George "Ben"; three sisters, Maxine Brocious, Fay Marie Fratus and Garnet Pfaff; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ward B. McCall Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Banks Pages Theus Funeral Home in Wildwood, Fla. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Oxford United Methodist Church in Florida. His final resting place will be at the Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford, Fla. Eva Marjorie "Marge" Miller, 85, of 2161 SR 157, Oil City, Pinegrove Township, went to be with her Lord at 2:48 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 30, 1923, in Kyogle, Australia, she was a daughter of the late James Harold and Emily Edith Cameron Lees. She was married in 1945, in Australia, to Harold William Miller, who preceded her in death June 9, 2003. Mrs. Miller and her husband owned and operated Miller's Meat Market for more than 30 years. They also operated the Midway Tasty Freeze. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Seneca Evangelical Congregational Church, where she helped with the church missionaries and attended the widows' luncheons. She loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed the outdoors. Mrs. Miller was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons, Lee William Miller and his wife, Cindi, of Oil City, James Harold Miller and his wife, Becky, of Oil City, and David Eugene Miller and his wife, Karen, of Seneca; two daughters, Susan Diane Bickel and her husband, Tim, of Fertigs, and Teresa Marjorie Stahlman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Oil City; seven grandchildren, Todd William Miller of Cranberry, Megan Beichner of President, Andrew Miller, Tammy Miller, Brian Miller, Emily Stahlman and Luke Stahlman ;all of Oil City; and five great- grandchildren, Logan William Miller and Cassidy Lee Miller, both of Cranberry; Kenzie Beichner and Kaylyn Beichner, both of President; and Conner Miller of Oil City. Mrs. Miller is also survived by a brother, Ernest Lees of Australia; and two sisters, Gwen Gardiner and May Grieve both of Australia. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Josh Reinders, pastor of the Seneca Evangelical Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be in Venus Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Getting it right - Ruth I. Wolfgang Ruth I. Wolfgang, 83, of New Bethlehem, died Saturday evening, Jan. 31, 2009, at her residence. Among her survivors is a daughter-in-law, Pat Wolfgang of Dayton, Pa.
