Fleischmann, Catonsville, Md., formerly of Oil City Wayne L. "Buck" Hilyer, Marienville area Nora J. Magrini, Plum John "Jack" Mansfield, formerly of Oil City Gary L. Parks, Knox Shirley Schilling Sanders, Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Franklin Betty Rae Clouse Bailey, 87, of Easton, Md., formerly of Oil City, passed away Feb. 16, 2009. Born July 8, 1921, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Jerome L. and Helene Virginia Boehler Clouse. She was married Nov. 17, 1945, in Oil City, to Marshall Roydon Bailey, who survives. After graduating from Oil City High School in 1939, she attended the Commercial Business College in Franklin for two years. During World War II, she served in the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Bailey worked as a banking secretary at BB & T Trust in Easton, Md. She also worked at Washington Township High School as a secretary. A resident of Talbot County, Md., since 1975, Betty was a member of all Faith Chapel in Tunis Mills, a docent for the Talbot County Historical Society, former vice president of the Talbot County Women's Club, a member of the Choptank American Antique Arts Association, the Woman's Club of St. Michaels and served as a St. Mary's Square docent. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bailey is survived by two children, Deborah Bailey Spinazzola and her husband, Michael, of New Castle, Del., and Marshall "Jay" Bailey and his wife, Jacky, of Sewell, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Brandice C. Heckert and her husband, Jeff, Brittany N. Patterson, Jay Scott Bailey and his wife, Stephanie, and James Bailey. A celebration of life service will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Canterbury Mews Club House, Sewell, N.J. Booher, 65, of 25 Lake St., Stoneboro, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 18, 2009, at home of natural causes. Born April 3, 1943, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Robert G. and V. Jean Mook Barnes. She was married Aug. 15, 1963, to Eustace N. "Sonny" Booher Jr., who preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1999. Mrs. Booher was a 1961 graduate of Franklin High School. For more than 10 years she worked in the Security Department of Allegheny College of Meadville. Mrs. Booher also worked in the deli at McKean's Shurfine of Sandy Lake. Also, along with her husband, she operated a family farm at Booher's Corners for many years. Most of all she was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Booher was of the Methodist faith and in earlier years sang in the church choir. She loved to play bingo and was an avid Steelers fan. She had a talent for decorating and enjoyed creating new things. She enjoyed going fishing. Mrs. Booher enjoyed visiting with her friends at Lakeview Manor and served as secretary of its tenants' association. Mrs. Booher is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Reiser and her husband, Paul L., of Stoneboro; three sons, Christopher N. Booher and his wife, Deanna, of Mercer, Robert V. Booher of Sandy Lake, and Shawn J. Booher of Seminole. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild to be born in July; a sister, Suzanne Hores and her husband, Edward, of West Chester, Ohio; and a brother, William J. Barnes and his wife, Nancy, of Franklin. In addition to her parents and wife, Mrs. Booher was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Barnes. Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Scott A. Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry L. Greenlee, pastor of Jackson Center Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment and a committal service will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 59 N. Crescent Drive, Hermitage, 16148. Richard Andrew Bryan, 81, of Oil City, died at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born July 23, 1927, in Oil City, he was a son of Truxel E. and Austa J. Lyons Bryan. Mr. Bryan was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He also had worked at Grove Hill Cemetery. Surviving is a daughter, Susie, of the Netherlands; one brother, James Bryan, of Slippery Rock; one sister, Shirley Summers of Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Gary Bryan, and one sister, Eldene Bryan. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Grove Hill Cemetery. Interment will also be in Grove Hill Cemetery. The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to the Salvation Army. Richard F. Fleischmann, 81, of Catonsville, Md., formerly of Oil City, died early Wednesday morning, Feb. 18, 2009, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md. The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory in Oil City is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Friday in The Derrick. Wayne L. "Buck" Hilyer died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at his home outside of Marienville. He was the son of Leonde Wayne and Clara E. Walker Hilyer. He is survived by his wife, Laurice; a son, Leroy Wayne; and a daughter, Laurie Marie. The Ronald McDonald Funeral Home in Marienville is in charge of arrangements, and a complete obituary will be published Friday. Nora J. Magrini, 93, of Plum, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009. She was the wife of the late Osvaldo Magrini. Mrs. Magrini is survived by five children, Marlene Magrini, Anita Magrini, Joseph Magrini and his wife, Barbara, Jean Scopel and her husband, Edward, and Mark Magrini and his wife, Michele; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Angeline Scalzott, Ida Campbell and Alice Coleman. Mrs. Magrini was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Troyan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Maurice L. Knee Funeral Home, 7663 Saltsburg Road, Plum. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery. John "Jack" Mansfield, 85, formerly of Oil City, passed on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, in Redmond, Ore. following an illness. Born Oct. 3, 1923, he was the son of the late Marshall H. and Helen End Mansfield. Mr. Mansfield was a graduate from Oil City High School Class of 1942. During his junior and senior year, he worked part-time as a butcher for the North Side A&P store. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 during World War II. He served on the USS Manley, USS Portland and the USS Sheridan APA51. After proudly serving his country, Mr. Mansfield worked as a butcher for many years. Then he worked as a car salesman, giving a unique gift of a wooden nickel with the caption "Hi neighbor" to all of his customers. Mr. Mansfield is survived by his wife, Marie of Redmond, Ore.; a step-daughter, Jeanne of Redmond, Ore.; a step-son, Bill of Redmond, Ore.; four children from previous marriages; and four sisters and five brothers, all raised at 12 Hone Ave., Oil City. Gary L. Parks, 63, of Knox, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at his residence. Born Jan. 26, 1946, in Eau Claire, he was the son of the late Charles and Pauline Stocker Parks. He was married Dec. 31, 1968, to the former Mona Kriebel, who survives. Mr. Parks was a retired bus driver, having worked for Country Trails Bus Tours in Clarion and Campbell Bus Company in Slippery Rock. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era. Mr. Parks enjoyed biking, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Parks is also survived by two children, Marcie Parks and Kevin Parks and his wife, Amy, of Knox; two grandchildren, Austin Parks and Tyler Parks, both of Knox; a sister, Lulabelle Emery of New Castle; two brothers, Harold Parks of Slippery Rock and Bob Parks of New Castle; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Parks; and three brothers, Ralph Parks, John Parks and Jim Parks. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the David C. McEntire Funeral Home Inc., 504 East Penn St., Knox. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Myers, of Mt. Joy United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Perryville Cemetery. Shirley Schilling Sanders, 86, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Franklin, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009. Mrs. Sanders was married to Edward King Sanders, and he preceded her in death in 1963 in Franklin. She was a graduate of MacMurray College in Illinois. She had lived in Sarasota since 1966 and worked in real estate for many years, selling some of the first condominiums on Longboat and Lido Keys with I.Z. Mann and later Arvida Corp. Mrs. Sanders is survived by a son, Lee Sanders of Prescott, Ariz.; a daughter, Libby Sanders Sloan of Paris, France; two granddaughters, Brooke Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas, and Julia Sloan D'Silva of New York City; a grandson, Christophe Sloan of New York City; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Sloan of New York City.
