    3. The Derrick, December 16, 2008: Dorothy M. Walters, 97, of Tionesta, formerly of Jamestown, died on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville. Born August 1, 1911, in Ravenswood, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Martin and Flora Straile Bennett. Mrs. Walters was a member of the Tionesta United Methodist Church. She was a life member of the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Mrs. Walters enjoyed bingo and going to the Jamestown Senior Center. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with her dogs. Mrs. Walters is survived by a son, Charles M. Walters and his wife, Betty, of Tionesta; two daughters, Linda A Rankin and her husband, David, of Tionesta; and Nellie Namestka and her husband, Wib, of Reno, Nev.; 11 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Walters, and a son, John Walters. Friends will be received from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Lawton, pastor of the Tionesta United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Stewart Bovard Memorial Library, Box 127 Tionesta, 16353, or to the Tionesta United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Box 79 Tionesta, 16353. Timothy K. Green Timothy K. Green, 47, of Clarion, formerly of Rochester, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Clarion after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his father, Maynard Green, a brother, Richard Green, and an uncle, Danny Graff. Mr. Green is survived by his loving family; his wife, Heidi Green of Clarion; two step-daughters, Misty and Amy Smail of Clarion; mother, Jeanne Villareale and her spouse, William Dalberth, of Rochester, N.Y.;grandmother, Yvonne Graff of Rochester, N.Y.;two sisters, Carla Green and her spouse, Angel Carrion, of Rochester, N.Y.; and Sarah Green of Seattle, Wash.; two nephews, Damien Karnes and Angel Carrion Jr.; one niece, Khristina Karnes; two great-nephews, Damien Karnes Jr. and Steven Hoad; three aunts and uncles, Larry and Lynn Graff, Robert and Youg Sook Graff and Kathy and Steve Miller. There will be no visitation and private funeral services will be celebrated. Memorials may be made to a charity of one s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion. Online condolences may be sent to www.goblefh.net Thomas Nelson Cook, 78, formerly of Oil City, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, in The Woodlands, Texas. Mr. Cook was born April 29, 1930, in Oil City. He graduated from LaSalle College in Philadelphia. Mr. Cook served in the Korean War, then he began his career in the oil business. He finished his career as a national sales manager. In retirement, he enjoyed world travel and golf. He will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, Evelyn, and children Thomas Jr., Stephen, Teri and David. Mr. Cook s family held a visitation and funeral services on Monday. A Mass celebrating his life was held at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands with the Rev. Vincent Nguyen as the celebrant. Following the services, Mr. Cook was honored by the U.S. Air Force and was laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery with his military family of brothers and sisters. Arrangements were handled by Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery.
