Miller, 67, of 1479 Hill City Road, Seneca, died at 4:55 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at his home. Born Feb. 6, 1937, in Oil City, he was the son of Lucille Miller. He was a 1955 graduate of Cranberry High School and was a well-known basketball player in his younger years. He later graduated from Bell & Howell School of Electronics. Mr. Miller coached and managed the Cranberry Girls softball teams and the Women's Softball League in Oil City. He retired in February 1999 from Culligan Soft Water Inc. after 41 years of service. Mr. Miller enjoyed fishing, archery, hunting and being outdoors. He was married in the Seneca United Methodist Church Nov. 28, 1958, to the former Nancy Goodman, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Amy Jo Perry and husband, Carl, of Cooperstown, Jackie Lea Black and husband, William, of Seneca and Lucy Kay Ross and husband, Shane, of Franklin; and seven grandchildren, Lindsay Perry, Travis Miller, Arik Black, Alden Black, Jack Ross, Pearl Ross and Grayden Ross. He also is survived by a half brother, David Cramer of Oil City; a half sister, Mrs. Craig (Lisa) King of Cooperstown; a stepbrother, Gary Cramer of Clintonville; a stepsister, Mrs. Curtis (Pat) Berry of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four aunts; and a special uncle, William Miller. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Lucille and Donald Cramer; and a special uncle, Fred Miller. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Seneca United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Wilson, pastor, officiating. The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Visiting Nurses Association, Hospice or to the Seneca United Methodist Church. L. Roberta 'Stit' Stitzinger L. Roberta "Stit" Stitzinger, 89, of Palm Beach County, Fla., formerly of Croton Avenue, New Castle, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, in UPMC Horizon Health System, Farrell. Born Oct. 5, 1915, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Robert A. and Leah Anna Allio Stitzinger. She was a 1934 graduate of New Castle High School and also was a graduate of New Castle Hospital. Miss Stitzinger worked for 37 years as an operating room nurse at Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle. She also worked for five years as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital in New Castle and belonged to the Alumni Association. She was a member of the Calvary Independent Church in New Castle. Surviving are her caregiver, Mervin Hayman of Hermitage; one nephew; and two nieces. Exley, Rockland Robert John Kelley, 104 Hiland Ave., Oil City Neta K. King, 5290 Georgetown Road, Franklin William G. Armitage Sr. William G. Armitage Sr. of Shippenville, owner of R&B Industries in Shippenville, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004. Born April 25, 1929, in Apollo, he was the son of Edwin and Anna Armitage. Mr. Armitage served honorably in the Air Force for 13 years. The family moved in 1978 to Clarion where they began an alternative heating sales and service business originally located in Strattanville. In 1989, the business was relocated and remains today on Route 208 in Shippenville. Surviving are his wife, Ruth, of 37 years; six children; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Katherine E. Exley Katherine E. Exley, 79, of Rockland, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a short illness. Born April 4, 1925, in Rockland, she was the daughter of Perry and Katherine Finlan Welsby. She was a 1943 graduate of Rockland High School. Mrs. Exley was a member of the Rockland United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, camping, bike riding, working in her garden and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Exley was married in Cooperstown May 23, 1943, to Clair O. Exley Sr., who survives. Also surviving are four sons and their wives, Clair O. Jr. and Marilyn Exley, William and Linda Exley and Mark and Bonnie Exley, all of Rockland, and Gregory and Claire Exley of Tewantin, Australia; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, William Morrison of Balston Spa, N.Y. She also is survived by a sister and her husband, Mary Ann and Fred Kellner of Oil City. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Exley was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Morrison; and a brother, Tom Welsby. Robert John Kelley Robert John Kelley, 80, of 104 Hiland Ave., Oil City, died at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Sept. 13, 1924, in Titusville, he was the son of John Peter and Hulda Kathryn Wigren Kelley. Mr. Kelley was a graduate of Titusville High School and had lived most of his life in the Oil City area. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Kelley formerly was employed at Foster Forbes Glass. He was a member of St. Stephen Church, Oil City. Mr. Kelley enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was married Feb. 23, 1963, to Ruth A. Heckathorne, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Karen Marie Roser and husband, Robert, of Oil City, Michelle Lee Kelley and her fiance, Jeremy Dunn, of Claremont, Calif., and Kristine Shreckengost of Oil City; three grandchildren, Matthew Roser, Danielle Shreckengost and Ryan Shreckengost, all of Oil City, and several nieces and nephews. Born Oct. 8, 1923, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Clair and Agnes Hopper Kirkpatrick. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Mrs. King had been a secretary for PennDOT and First National Bank. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Franklin. Mrs. King also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 25. She enjoyed golfing and reading. Mrs. King was married Sept. 2, 1946, to Smith F. King, who died June 15, 1993. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Zoe Ann and David Sheatz of Seneca and Amanda S. and Joe Fink of Franklin; four grandchildren, William David Sheatz and Susan Amanda Sheatz, both of Seneca, and Sarah Catherine Fink and Samuel Isaac Fink, both of Franklin; and a sister-in-law, Lois Kirkpatrick of Polk.
