Lucia, Warren Manor Hugh J. "Jim" Morrison, Ohio, formerly of Franklin Helen M. "Teeny" Worst, getting it right Stephen LeRoy Beichner Stephen LeRoy Beichner, 60, of Macon, Ga., a Brookville native, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at his home. He was a son of Mary Walker Jones and her husband, David, and the late Kenneth Beichner. Surviving locally are three aunts, Evelyn Rapp of Oil City, Louise Craft of Franklin and Margaret Wolff of Clarion. Graqce Lillian Oakes Carson Grace Lillian Oakes Carson, 97, of 921 Township Line Road, Seneca, died at 3:05 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at her home. Born Aug. 20, 1907, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Pirl D. Oakes Sr. and Ida Mae Moon Oakes. Mrs. Carson attended the Main Street School in Oil City. She was affiliated with the Oil City Church of the Nazarene. She was married July 9, 1926, to Harry E. Carson Sr. who preceded her in death June 12, 1945. Surviving are five children, Donna Beers of Kennerdell, Paul Carson and his wife, Laura, of Oil City, Gaynell Harkless and her husband, Norman, of Seneca, and Grace Beach and her husband, Albert, of Kennerdell, and John Frain, who she raised, and his wife, Miriam, of Seneca; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harry E. Carson, Jr.; a daughter, Freda Koontz; five grandchildren; three brothers, Harry Oakes, Lionel Oakes and Pirl D. Oakes, Jr.; and five sisters, Ethel Blauser, Laura Troutman, Dorothy Boocks, Minnie Griffin and Viola Clark. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home. There will be no visitation Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. William Hopkins, pastor of the Oil City Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Donald LeRoy Crum Donald LeRoy Crum, 70, of the Oil City Presbyterian Home, formerly of 1211 Chestnut St., Franklin, died at 7:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at UPMC Northwest, Seneca, following an extended illness. He had been a resident of the home since July 29, 2003. Born Aug. 19, 1934, in Bradford, he was a son of the late George James and Mildred Burggese Crum. Mr. Crum attended Bradford area schools and entered the U.S. Air Force on Sept. 18, 1952, seeing duty in Korea. He was discharged as an Airman 1-C Sept. 17, 1956. While in the service, he earned a master's certification in mathematics and diesel mechanics. Mr. Crum worked at Franklin Steel for 23 years retiring as a sheerman due to ill health in 1982. He enjoyed being around his grandchildren, traveling and was a Steelers fan. While at the home, he could be found wheeling around to socialize and sitting outside smoking his pipe - regardless of the weather. Mr. Crum had been a member of the Odd Fellows, Moose and American Legion. He was married Sept. 1, 1956, to the former Berneda Heemer of Butler. She preceded him in death June 17, 1996. Surviving are one stepson, Barry Heemer; one daughter Cindy Spencer and her husband, Terry, of Oil City; and six grandchildren, Wendy Heemer, Kimberly Palmer, Andrew Heemer, Dennis Heemer, Dorian Griffin and Travis Griffin; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Jack Crum of Rew, and Jim Crum of Snydersburg; two sisters, Sally Weaver of Tennessee, and Marge Parret of Bradford; and a special friend, Patti Cargain of the Oil City Presbyterian Home. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Crum was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Bobby, Betty, Dick, Joanne and Tom. Bonnie Diane Custer Bonnie Diane Custer, 51, of Sloan Street, Rimersburg, died at 11:18 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. Born Aug. 20, 1953, in Clarion, she was the daughter of Mrs. Pauline K. Guntrum Trayer of Rimersburg and the late Delbert W. Trayer. Mrs. Custer was of the Protestant faith. She was a 1971 Union High School graduate. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Custer became a licensed occupational therapy assistant and worked in that field at the time of her death. She was married May 25, 1974, to Danny R. Custer at Six Points Church of God of Prophecy near Parker. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Custer is survived by on son, Daniel R. Custer and his wife, Wendy, of Norfolk, Va.; two daughters, Jennifer L. Harrison and her husband, John R., of Allison Park, and Crystal D. Neiswonger of Clarion; four grandchildren; one brother, Richard W. Trayer and his wife, Chlorise E., of Vacaville, Calif.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Lucia, 91, formerly of 8 Drumcliffe Drive, Warren, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday, Nov, 22, 2004, at Warren Manor following an extended illness. Born June 3, 1913, in Warren, he was a son of Angelo and Clara "Carrie" M. Nicotera Lucia. Mr. Lucia worked at GTE Sylvania for 22 years as an electroplater and retired from there in 1978. He previously worked with the Erie Railroad during World War II as a PRR fireman for 12 years. Mr. Lucia was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, a fourth degree member of the Warren Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the Sons of Italy and American Legion Post 135. He was married July 23, 1934, in Warren to the former Sara Frances McKenna. She preceded him in death July 27, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Rita Tulcy and her husband, Paul, of Pleasant Township; two sons, Richard Lucia of Erie, and William Lucia of Franklin; a brother, Frank R. "Butch" Lucia of Russell; three sisters, Margaret Piccirillo, Elizabeth Donovan and Maria Coppola all of Warren; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. "Jim" Morrison, 78, of 1929 Twin Oak Drive, Liberty Township, Ohio, formerly of Greenville and Franklin, died unexpectedly at 2:27 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at his home. Born Dec. 21, 1925, in Greenville, he was the son of Hugh James Morrison and Gertrude David Morrison. Mr. Morrison was a 1943 graduate of Greenville High School where he was a standout athlete lettering in football and wrestling. From 1972 to 1985 he was the owner and operator of Brookfield Pizza in Brookfield, Ohio. He previously worked as a salesman for Canton Provision Company in Canton, Ohio. Mr. Morrison served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged Aug. 27, 1954. He was married Oct. 7, 1951, to the former Mary Puskar. She preceded him in death May 23, 1993. Mr. Morrison is survived by his five sons, Hugh J. Morrison Jr. and his wife, Chris, of Schoolcraft, Mich., Larry S. Morrison and his wife, Susan, of Batavia, Ill., Kelly J. Morrison and his wife, Bernadette, of Liberty, Ohio, Mark D. Morrison and his wife, Sheri, of Warren, Ohio, and Lance A. Morrison and his wife, Geneen, of Canfield, Ohio; one sister, Alta Mae McKay of Greenville and nine grandchildren.
