Grill, 1293 Grandview Road, Oil City, formerly of Reno Donna Jean McMonigle, Polk Center Nancy M. Rex, 949 Buffalo St., Franklin Anna M. Schettler, Huefner Spring Road, Shippenville Samuel B. Winger, Grove City, Barkeyville Boro Dr. William Clouse Dr. William Clouse, 78, of 14119 Wetmore Cross, San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Oil City, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, in North Central Baptist Hospital, San Antonio. Dorrothy L. Grill Dorothy L. Grill, 88, of 1293 Grandview Road, Oil City, formerly of Reno, died at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in Beverly Healthcare-Oil City, following an extended illness. Born Dec. 23, 1915, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Michael and Sophia Fydricks Stanish. While living in Reno, Mrs. Grill was a member of St. Patrick Church, Franklin. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her yard and being outdoors. Mrs. Grill first was married in Franklin May 27, 1950, to James Rogers, who died Jan. 6, 1958. She then was married Feb. 7, 1965, to Joseph Grill, who died in September 1982. Surviving are a sister, Katherine Steen, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-Oil City; a sister-in-law, Bernette Stanish of Oil City; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Grill was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Julia Morrison, Sophie Thomas, Ann Eilers, Annette Vidsens, Frances Carpenter, Peter Stanish, Mike Stanish, John Stanish, Joseph Stanish and an infant set of triplets. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. John Neff, pastor of the Assumption B.V.M. Church, presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Beverly Healthcare, Aseracare Hospice or to the Assumption Church Development Fund. Donna Jean McMonigle Donna Jean McMonigle, 68, a resident of Polk Center, died at 12:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Polk Center. Born Feb. 23, 1936, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Maxine June McMonigle Crain. Surviving are her mother, Maxine June Crain of Phillipsburg; numerous aunts and uncles; and numerous nephews and nieces including special nieces Lorie McKee and Sandra Miller, who were faithful with visits, cards and prayers. Also surviving are three half brothers, Robert Crain, Max Crain and Thomas Crain; and a sister, Patricia Stone. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Crain Sr. Friends were received from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home where services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Sandra Miller, lay pastor, officiating. Interment was in Franklin Cemetery. Nancy M. Rex Nancy M. Rex, 66, of 949 Buffalo St., Franklin, died at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at her residence. Born Jan. 17, 1938, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Hugh Glenn and Mabel Pratt Haylett. Mrs. Rex was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Franklin. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening and her pets. Mrs. Rex was married Sept. 15, 1984, to Clyde Rex, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jack Greenlee and wife, Sue, and Lee Rex and wife, Karen, all of Oil City; a stepson, Greg Rex of Rouseville; four daughters, Kathy Jack and husband, Ron, Carol Nulph, Sandy Brown and husband, Glenn, and Pamela Pritts and husband, Howard, all of Franklin; and a stepdaughter, Kelly Kolkowski and husband, Jeff, of Pleasantville; 14 grandchildren, Chad Jack of Parma, Ohio, Cassie Jack, David Nulph, Amber Nulph, Alisa Brown, Kristina Brown, Karissa Shoup and husband, Nicholas, Jack Greenlee Jr. and wife, Tiffany, Michael Pritts and Heather Pritts, all of Franklin, Michael Schneider and wife, Diane, Jenny Rex and Blaise Rex, all of Oil City, and Corey Foster of Pleasantville; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Jack and Elizabeth Greenlee, both of Franklin. She also is survived by three brothers, Edward Haylett, Phillip Haylett and David Haylett, all of Franklin; one sister and husband, Phyllis and Charles Shaffer of Rockland; and her mother-in-law, Ruth Rex of Polk. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rex was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nikki Rex. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Christ United Methodist Church, Franklin, with the Rev. Kenneth Peters, church pastor, and Dr. David Holste, pastor of the Hermitage United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Venango County Humane Society. Anna M. Schettler Anna M. Schettler, 100, of Huefner Spring Road, Shippenville, died Monday evening, Nov. 8, 2004, in Clarion Hospital. Born Sept. 7, 1904, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of George and Sarah Graner Hargenrader. Mrs. Schettler attended St. Michael School in Fryburg and St. Mary of the Mount School in Pittsburgh and was a longtime resident of Knox Township. She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg and the Rosary Society of the church. Mrs. Schettler enjoyed crocheting, knitting and her family. She was married Oct. 23, 1934, to William A. Schettler, who died March 21, 1981. Surviving are two daughters, Sarah "Sally" Kinch and her husband, Norman, of Huefner Spring Road, Shippenville, and Mary Ditz and her husband, Paul, of Washington Lane, Shippenville; and two daughters-in-law, Alice D. "Diane" Schettler and Barbara F. Schettler, both of Huefner Spring Road, Shippenville. Parish Vigil Services will be held at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Michael Church, Fryburg, with the Rev. David Poulson, pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Msgr. Francis Theobald Fund for St. Michael School, Fryburg. Samuel B. Winger Samuel B. Winger, 81, a resident of 1582 Barkeyville Road, Grove City, Barkeyville Boro, for 55 years, died at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio. Born June 11, 1923, in Williamsport, he was the son of Thomas Russell and Leilda May Fleeger Winger. Mr. Winger retired in 1988 from Cooper Energy Service, Grove City, where he was a pattern maker for 43 years. He was a member of the Barkeyville United Methodist Church for 14 years and held numerous positions at the church. Mr. Winger was a member and president of the Barkeyville Water Authority Council, providing Barkeyville Boro with water. He was a former president of Barkeyville Boro Council. In 1963, Mr. Winger was named "Scoutmaster of the Year" of Troop 48 of Scotch Hill Presbyterian Church. He was an avid hunter, bowler, golfer and fisherman. Mr. Winger was married Sept. 22, 1943, to Betty R. Kaiser, who died Oct. 16, 2004. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Barry W. and Darlene Winger of Sharpsville and Russell W. and Betsy Winger of Transfer; four grandchildren, Melinda Wilbert, Rhonda Valez, Jill Fertig and Sean Winger; and six great-grandchildren, Haley Wilbert, Caitlyn Wilbert, Joshua Valez, Corey Valez, Chelsea Valez and Jenna Winger. He also is survived by a brother and wife, Donald and Jean Winger of Sandy Lake. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Winger was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Winger. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Stephanie Thompson, pastor of the Barkeyville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Barkeyville Cemetery, Barkeyville.
