I am also related to the Michael Dunkle and Nancy Rhea. Trying to figure out which Michael when all the Dunkles gave their children the same names is very confusing! Several helpful people have suggested that this Michael was the son of John Henry Dunkle (who in turn was son of John or Johann Jacob Dunkle), and that John Henry's wife was named Amy. Unfortunately I don't really have documentation for this. 1. John Henry did have a son Michael Dunkle. His will lists : Polly, Jacob, Susannah, Henry, Peter, Martin, Daniel, Amy, Elizabeth, and Michael. 2. Our Michael very likely did have a brother named Peter, since in 1860 Peter, 38, and his son Horace, 10, were enumerated with our Michael's household. In 1850, Michael & Nancy were alone with 5 month old Priscilla, while another household comprised Peter, 45, miner; Mary An (sic), 37; Euphemia, 14; Susannah, 4; Horace, 1; and Nancy Fitzgerald, 30. I know the ages don't match. Neither does Michael's, since he goes from 25 (1850) to 29 (1860), but Michael's wife and daughter age properly. I have heard (but still lack documentation) that: a. This Peter Dunkle's first wife was Mary Ann Fitzgerald, 2nd wife Nancy Fitzgerald. b. Susannah daughter of John Henry Dunkle married John Fitzgerald. For Michael & Nancy Dunkle's daughter Sarah C. Dunkle, I have that she married Joseph Clinton Kuhns. Sarah is buried in the same section of Cooks Forest Cemetery as Nancy, Michael, and their daughter Priscilla. Any help welcome!
