    3. The Derrick, Friday, November 19, 2004: Adaline Griffin, Titusville, formerly of Clintonville Connie C. Michel, Winchester, Va., formerly of Distant Helen C. Carone, getting it right Adaline Griffin Adaline Griffin, 96, formerly of Clintonville, died at 8:47 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in Country Acres Personal Care Home, Titusville, where she had been a resident for the past three years. Born Nov. 21, 1907, in Pearl, she was the daughter of Melvin and Harriett Daye Wareham. She was a 1926 graduate of Franklin High School. Mrs. Griffin was the oldest member of the Hickory Grove Church of God where she was a member of the choir and the Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking and singing. Mrs. Griffin was married in Franklin Aug. 27, 1927, to Park Griffin, who preceded her in death. Surviving are the following children, Eddie Griffin and wife, Adeline, of Rocky Grove, Donald Griffin and wife, Janet, of Clintonville and Mary Ann Wilcox and husband, David, of Titusville; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She also is survived by a brother, Paul Wareham and wife, Helen, of Warren; a sister, Betty Gilmore and husband, Charles, of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Martha Wareham of Sandy Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by three brothers, Harlan, Charles and Robert Wareham. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Hickory Grove Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Dugger, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Hickory Grove Church of God, RR 1, Polk, 16342. Connie C. Michel Connie C. Michel, 66, formerly of Distant, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, in Winchester, Va. Born Feb. 18, 1938, in Climax, she was the daughter of Lewis and Florence Willison LaBorde. She was a graduate of Redbank High School in New Bethlehem and also was a graduate of the Allegheny Valley School of Nursing, Natrona Heights. Mrs. Michel worked as a registered nurse for Interim Health Care, Pittsburgh. Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Myers and husband, Mark, of Winchester, Va.; a son, Lynn Michel and wife, Nicole, of Derry; and three grandchildren, Lindsey, David and Joseph Myers, all of Winchester, Va. Mrs. Michel was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, in Springside Baptist Church, Distant. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Distant. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Getting it right Helen C. Carone - Helen C. Carone, 95, formerly of Towne Towers, Oil City, died at 6:25 a.m.
