Williams, 102 N. Maple Ave., Parker Frank J. Cudzil Frank J. Cudzil, 88, of Schnecksville, formerly of Oil City, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, in The Phoebe Home, Allentown. Born Jan. 15, 1916, in Oil City, he was the son of Martin and Sophie Smutek Cudzil. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army with the First Infantry Division. Mr. Cudzil was employed for 15 years as a courier for Mellon Bank in Oil City prior to his retirement. Prior to that, he was the club steward for many years of the Pulaski Club in Oil City. He was a member of St. Stephen Church in Oil City. Mr. Cudzil also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Polish National Alliance, both in Oil City. He was married to the former Anna M. Kahle, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a son and wife, Michael A. and Barbara A. Puffenberger Cudzil of Schnecksville; a daughter, Jayne E. Cudzil of Erie; a stepson, David G. Beightol of Oil City; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Edward M. Cudzil of Dempseytown; and a sister, Bernice Skiba of Oil City. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Cudzil was preceded in death by a stepson, William P. Beightol; three brothers, Joseph Cudzil, Stanley Cudzil and Louis Cudzil; and two sisters, Josephine Hynes and Joann Ossoff. Eaton, 79, a resident of 416 Stewart Ave., Grove City, for 43 years, died at 3:18 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, in United Community Hospital, Grove City, following a brief illness. Born June 19, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Orr Alberth. Mrs. Eaton retired in 1988 from Mellon Bank, Grove City, where she was a customer service representative. Before retiring from Mellon, she had been employed by Cooper Energy Services and Russell Roll Jewelers, both of Grove City. She was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City where she was active in scouting, church youth clubs and taught Sunday School. Mrs. Eaton also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary, Grove City Historical Society, Friends of the Library, Mercer County Crippled Children's Fund, numerous bridge clubs, birthday clubs, Breakfast Club and Swim Club of the YMCA. She was married June 2, 1950, to William A. Eaton, who died April 4, 2004. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Steve A. and Connie J. Eaton of Grove City and Kim A. and Geralyn Eaton of Norwich, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Michelle Malone of Bridgeville, Megan L. Eaton of Albany, N.Y., Daniel W. Eaton of Norwich, N.Y., Amy J. Bailey of Harrisville, Joseph J. DiMaria of Grove City and Katharine M. Boozer of Lake Township, Mercer County; and eight great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Millie Buxton of Washington, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Alberth of Grove City; and one brother, Joseph H. Alberth and wife, Margaret, of Grove City. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Eaton was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Alberth. Koza Jr., 82, of Madison, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at his residence. Born Feb. 15, 1922, in Munhall, he was the son of Stanley A. Koza Sr. and Johanna Tomastik Koza. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Koza was retired from Local No. 288 Carpenters Union of Munhall. He was a member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church in Herminie. Mr. Koza was a member of the Wash House Band of Mount Pleasant. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary E. Gombita Koza; two daughters, Karen of Butler sand Laurie A. Ward and husband, Thomas, of Oil City; and a granddaughter, Amy, of Philadelphia. He also is survived by a sister, Loraine Cibulka of Munhall. Wally A. Pierce Wally A. Pierce of Second Avenue, Clarion, died Saturday morning, Nov. 6, 2004, in Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, after an extended illness. Born Feb. 4, 1927, in Tylersburg, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Alvina Negal Kolling. She was a graduate of Farmington High School. Mrs. Pierce worked for Plough Inc. and Pillsbury Flour Mills in Memphis, Tenn., Joy Manufacturing Co. in Franklin and was secretary for the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion for 33 years. She also served as church treasurer for 24 years and was secretary of the Permanent Memorial Endowment Fund for 44 years. She also served as an elder and was very active in the women's work of the church. She was married April 20, 1946, to Donald R. Pierce, who died May 9, 1990. Surviving are two sons, Larry of Lickingville and Denny and his wife, Nancy, of Olympia, Wash; a daughter, Terry, and her husband, Terry, of Renfrew; and a grandson, Allen and his wife, Jolene Wolbert Pierce. She also is survived by a brother, William Kolling of Cross Junction, Va.; and two sisters, Helen Hogle of Pittsburgh and Peggy and her husband, Charley Weil, of Brighton, Colo. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Goble Funeral Home of Clarion. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion. Interment will be in Clarion Cemetery. Maple Ave., Parker, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, following a lengthy illness. Born May 24, 1947, in Sligo, she was the daughter of RuDell and Sara Shook Harriger. She was a 1965 graduate of Clarion High School and attended Clarion University. Mrs. Williams worked for many years as a secretary for Sorce Inc. near Shippenville, retiring in 2001 due to a disability. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Curllsville. Mrs. Williams was a past president and member of the Clarion Zonta Club and a past president and member of the Foxburg Free Library board. She was a judge of elections of Parker City First Ward for many years. Mrs. Williams was married Aug. 8, 1979, to David P. Williams, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and husband, Tammy and Matthew Zacherl of Shippenville; a son and wife, Thomas and Dalene Bickel of Wilmington, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Sara Grace and Jacob Zacherl of Shippenville and Skylar Bickel of Wilmington, N.C. She also is survived by a sister and husband, Gloria and Tim Campbell of Moscow, Russia; a brother and wife, J. Duane and Lana Harriger of Sligo; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Harriger of Sligo. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Harriger. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo and from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in Grace Community Church, Curllsville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church with Pastor Daniel George officiating. Interment will follow in Churchville Cemetery near Curllsville.
