    3. Mabel Violet Adams, Sandy Hollow Road, Rimersburg Nancy L. Ashcraft, 1 Sycamore St., Oil City Kimberly Brown, 20666 Grange Center Road, Saegertown George A. McKinley, 123 River St., Cochranton Mabel Violet Adams, 95, of Sandy Hollow Road, Rimersburg, died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Concordia Home, Cabot, following an illness. Born Dec. 17, 1908, in Catfish, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Charles and Daisy McCoy Noonan. She was a former member of the Sandy Hollow Methodist Church and attended elementary school at Catfish and Sandy Hollow. She graduated from Rimersburg High School. During World War II, she had worked at the Bantam car factory in Butler. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She was married Aug. 18, 1926, in East Brady to Earl Julius Adams, who preceded her in death on March 16, 1984. Surviving are a son, Earl Adams Jr., and wife, Marie C., of Valencia; a daughter, Madeline Valjean Hylton, and husband, Charles Raymond, of Marietta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Janet Armstrong, and husband, Kenneth, of Gibsonia, Roger Adams, and wife, Susie, of Saxonburg, Keith Hylton of Hilton Head, S.C., and Melanie Lamb, and husband, Brian, of Jefferson, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Armstrong, Alyssa Adams, Olivia Adams, Jordan Thomson and Ryan Lamb; a dear sister and best friend, Leona (Toss) Zanot of Rimersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert E. Adams, on Feb. 20, 2003; a brother, Paul Noonan; and a sister, Nell Snyder. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home, Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rimersburg Cemetery. Nancy L. Ashcraft, 70, of 1 Sycamore St., Oil City, died at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at St. Vincent Health Center. Born Aug. 12, 1934, she was the daughter of Ralph S. and Nina D. Ralston Mohnkern. A graduate of Oil City High School, she lived most of her life in Oil City. She had worked as a nurse at the Oil City and Franklin hospitals. Ms. Ashcraft was a member of the First Church of God in Oil City. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint and her grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Gutowski, and wife, Chris, of Oil City, and Bob Gutowski, and wife, Anita, of Roseville, Mich.; two daughters, Terri Daniels, and husband, Terry, of Greenville, Texas, and Julie Miller, and husband, Kerrylee, of Franklin; a brother, Ted S. Mohnkern of Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Adam Miller, and wife, Mandy, Kelly Miller and Holly Miller, all of Franklin, Danny Gutowski, Cory Gutowski, Kailey Gutowski and Matthew Gutowski, all of Oil City; and a great-grandson, Isaac Miller of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of God, 11 E. Eighth St., Oil City, with the Rev. Brenda Snedden, pastor of the First Church of God, officiating with the assistance of Tom Douglas of Oil City. The family suggests memorials, in lieu of flowers, be made to the UPMC Center for Cancer Care, 1 Dale Ave., Franklin, 16323, or the First Church of God, 11 E. Eighth St., Oil City, 16301. Kimberly Brown, 40, of 20666 Grange Center Road, Saegertown, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at the Meadville Medical Center. Born Sept. 5, 1963, in Franklin, she was a daughter of Kenneth L. and Ann Drozdo Brown. She attended Franklin public schools. She was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating and flowers. Surviving are five sons, Kenneth Andrew Ritchey and Ronald Ritchey, both of Franklin, and Benjamin, Jonathan and Daniel Hoover, all of Saegertown; a daughter, Christa Hoover of Saegertown; a stepdaughter, Trudy Hoover of Wisconsin; a stepson, William Hoover of Saegertown; her mother, Ann Brown of Oil City; her father, Kenneth L. Brown of Franklin; two sisters, Tammy Powell, and husband, Harry Jr., of Franklin, and Cheryl Elslager, and husband, Jody, of Seneca; three nephews; and her aunt, Margaret Armstrong of Titusville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Huff Chapel, 312 Park St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pat E. Ellis, pastor of the Heckathorn United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials be made to the Victims Resource Center, 1243 Liberty St., Franklin, 16323. George A. McKinley, 79, of 123 River St., Cochranton, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Meadville Medical Center. Born Jan. 4, 1925, in Milledgeville, he was the son of John William and Nellie Crawford McKinley. He was part owner and operator of Cochranton Specialty Co. beginning in 1962. He previously was employed with Moss Lumber Co. and Crum Lumber Co., which were located in Cochranton. He was a member of the Milledgeville Community Church, and he served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was married March 4, 1948, to the former Betty Grace Brown, who preceded him in death on June 26, 2003. Surviving are three daughters, Linda McKinley, Kathryn Mook and husband, Gary, and Anita McCurdy and husband, John, all of Cochranton; a son, Terry McKinley, and wife, Peggy, of Cochranton; seven grandchildren, Douglas and Brianne Mook, Jennifer, Darcy and Megan McKinley, and Amanda and Jonelle McCurdy; a sister, Nellie Kramer of Cochranton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Nelson and Martha Vaughn; a brother, Clarence McKinley; an infant sister, Pearl; and an infant brother, William. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Dickson Family Funeral Home, 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Messerall of the Meadville Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
