"Bud" Cramer, Route 68, Clarion Goldie Helen "Mable" Smith, 734 Olean Trail, New Bethlehem Rosalie Mae Welms Riley, getting it right Frank W. Beach Frank W. Beach, 92, of 509 Colbert Ave., Oil City, died at noon Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, in Beverly Healthcare-Oil City. Born Aug. 30, 1912, in Rockland, he was the son of George and Emma Evelyn Graham Beach. He attended the Siverly schools and had lived in Oil City most of his life. Mr. Beach was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Oil City. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and gardening. Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Patty and Vernon Masters of Dempseytown, Barbara and Charles Irwin of Oil City and Kelly and Stephen Heffern of Cooperstown; one son and his wife, Larry and Deana Beach of Oil City; 22 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one sister and her husband, Gladys and Merle Moon of Oil City. In addition to his parents, Mr. Beach was preceded in death by two sons, Frank William Beach and Duane Reisinger; a daughter Jacqueline Beach; three brothers, Elmer E. Beach, Alvie Beach and Virgil L. Beach; an infant sister, Dorothy Beach; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Hutchinson Funeral Home, 201 Bissell Ave., Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Bonnie F. King, pastor of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Oil City, officiating. She will be assisted by the Rev. Erenie Hudson-Pons. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery. Robert George Bean Robert George Bean, 79, of Rosebush, Mich., died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, in Mid Michigan Medical Center, Midland, Mich. Born Aug. 27, 1925, in Venango County, he was the son of Harry and Ruth Karns Bean. Mr. Bean was a lifelong farmer and was active in politics. He served as Vernon Township Supervisor in Michigan and for 12 years was Isabella County Drain Commissioner in Michigan. He was an active Republican and was the recipient of the Constance Stegenga Republican Award. Mr. Bean was a member of the Rosebush United Methodist Church, Rosebush, Mich.. He was married in Otsego, Mich., Feb. 17, 1950, to Verda House, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Kelly and Denise Bean of St. Johns, Mich., and Jeff and Lee Bean of Rosebush; grandchildren, Keegan and Eathan Bean of St. Johns, Todd Bean of Mount Pleasant, Mich., and Lindsay Harsh and husband, Lee, of Coleman, Mich.; and a great-granddaughter, Abegail Harsh of Coleman. He also is survived by three brothers and their wives, Dale and Wenna Bean, John and Gail Bean and Paul and Janet Bean; three sisters, Martha Shreckengost and husband, Elwood, Margaret Dunn and Ruth Ann Stahlsmith; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Bean, Charanne Bean and Melanie Bean, all of Pennsylvania; and a cousin and wife, Richard and Pam Bean of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bean was preceded in death by four brothers, Clark, Clair, Harry and Lawerence Bean; and a sister, Charlotte Shreckengost. "Bud" Cramer, 81, of Route 68, Clarion, Monroe Township, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at his cabin on Little Hickory Road, Tionesta. Born April 6, 1923, in Bradys Bend, he was the son of William and Olive Varner Cramer. Mr. Cramer attended Clarion-Limestone High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving three years with the Army Engineers in the Aleutian Island and one year with the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. Mr. Cramer retired in 1980 after working 39 years as foreman of the engineer department at Owens-Illinois Glass Plant, Clarion. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Cramer enjoyed woodworking, hunting and spending time at his cabin. He first was married to Vivian Bashline, who died July 12. 1969. He then was married June 6, 1970, to Lorraine Zoerkler, who survives. Also surviving are one son and his wife, Lowell Gregory and Crystal Cramer of Clarion; one daughter, Mrs. Christopher (Melanie) Berkery of Knox; one stepson, Daniel Gordon and wife, Cindy, of Plymouth, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Donald (Donna) Gordon McElhattan of Manassas, Va.; five grandchildren, Aaron Cramer of Sligo, Brent Cramer of Clarion; Michelle Massie and husband, Mark, of Williamsburg, Va., Martin Berkery and wife, Jennifer, of Shippenville and Nichole Pore and husband, Andrew, of Shippenville; four stepgrandchildren, Lisa and Kristy McElhattan of Manassas, Va., Kelly and Tyler Gordon of Plymouth, Minn.; and three great-grandchildren, Karly and Rylee Berkery of Shippenville and Autumn Cramer of Sligo. Goldie Helen 'Mable' Smith Goldie Helen "Mable" Smith, 88, of 734 Olean Trail, New Bethlehem, formerly of Grange, Jefferson County, died at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at her residence. Born Aug. 24, 1916, in Worthville, Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Clinton S. and Margaret Myers Kaylor. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Smith did sewing for Loree Footwear in Big Run, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Grange Church of God. Mrs. Smith enjoyed her family, quilting, crocheting and gardening. She was married July 6, 1936, to Harold Wesley Smith, who died Oct. 11, 1981. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Harold S. "Pete" and Ginny Smith of Summerville and John T. and Kathy Smith of Grange; two daughters, Margaret C. Shields and husband, William, of Covode and Janet J. Milliron and husband, John, of New Bethlehem; nine grandchildren, Holly Smith, William H. Shields, Dean Shields, Wanda Whitling, Sandy Thomas, Doris LeVier, Brenda Troup, Wesley Smith and Andrea Verdill; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters-in-law, Martha J. Smith of DuBois and Mildred Kaylor of Valier. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by three brothers, John Kaylor, Walter Kaylor and William Thomas Kaylor; a sister, Violet Kaylor; an infant brother and an infant sister; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Getting it right - Rosalie Mae Welms Riley Rosalie Mae Welms Riley - Rosalie Mae Welms Riley, 72, of 223 Rockwood Ave., Oil City, died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, in her home after a seven-month illness. She was married June 29, 1963, in the First Presbyterian Church, Oil City, to John H. Riley, who survives. Also among her survivors are a son and his wife, John C. and Julie Wise Riley of Pittsburgh; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Brynn Riley of Pittsburgh; and a niece, Kimberly Welms of Erie.
