Milliron, 997 Maple Shade Road, Cranberry Sara Elizabeth Slater, Kennerdell Pamela J. Hagan, getting it right Dorothy Susanne Hunsberger Dorothy Susanne Hunsberger, 84, of Brook Road, Clarion, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo. Born Sept. 16, 1920, in Venango County, she was the daughter of Ralph and Nora Kridler Ace. Mrs. Hunsberger was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Strattanville American Legion Post. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hunsberger was married Sept. 17, 1936, to George T. Hunsberger, who preceded her in death. Surviving are four sons, Warren Hunsberger and Larry Hunsberger, both of Clarion, and Charles Hunsberger and Clyde Hunsberger, both of Reidsburg; four daughters, Shirley Kamerer of Knox, Donna Hartzell of Shippenville, Dorothy Sarvey of Clarion and Lyvonne Checks of Pittsburgh; 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hunsberger was preceded in death by two daughters, Bernice Hunsberger and Delores Miller; two sons, Harry Hunsberger and Ralph Hunsberger; two stepsons; one stepsister; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Callensburg Cemetery. Ann L. Lichko Ann L. Lichko, 91, of Whiting, N.J., formerly of Toms River, N.J., died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Keswick Pines in Whiting. Mrs. Lichko was born in Monessen, lived in Charleroi and came to Toms River, N.J., in 1979, moving in 1996 to the Whiting section of Manchester. She was the founder and charter member of the Ukrainian Club in Toms River and the Toms River Old Guard Chorus and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beachwood, N.J. Mrs. Lichko was married to William Lichko, who died in 1992. Surviving are three daughters, Beverly Gaston and husband, David, of Franklin Lakes, N.J., Nancy Muse and husband, Robert, of Franklin and Lesley Lichko of Holden, Maine; five grandchildren, David, Stephen and Erik Gaston, Kristin Clapsaddle and Robert Gaston; and nine great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Helen Bevington of Pittsburgh. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lichko was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephania Gault, in 1966; and two sisters, Mary Ward and Stephania Raczkowski. Sarah Jane McCandless Sarah Jane McCandless, 65, of 119 Saint George Road, Kennerdell, died unexpectedly at 11:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in UPMC Northwest, Franklin. Milliron, 88, of 997 Maple Shade Road, Cranberry, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, in The Caring Place, Franklin. Born Aug. 11, 1916, in Butler, she was the daughter of William Grant and Emma Crawford Frisbie. Mrs. Milliron was married Feb. 3, 1936, to the Rev. William Grant Milliron, who preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1980. She accompanied her husband on five mission trips to Columbia, South America, and one to Haiti, where her daughter, Elaine, and her husband, Gene Lain, served for many years. After her husband's death, Mrs. Milliron visited Haiti and the work of World Gospel Mission with Native Americans in Arizona several times. She also served for eight years on the district United Methodist Women's committee. She was a member of the ministers' spouses committee and was named "Ministers' Spouse Emeritus" in 2000 because of the longevity of her service on that committee. She also enjoyed working on the planning committee for Cherry Run Camp. Mrs. Milliron enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also loved the United Methodist Church where her husband served as minister for 35 years. In that capacity she helped with the office work, worked on vacation Bible school, started Good News Clubs, was active in the United Methodist Women and many other supportive roles. In addition to her mission trips, Mrs. Milliron often talked about her trip to Alaska where she was able to arrange time away from a tour group to visit her grandson, Steve Milliron. She loved to travel and was able to visit family in North Dakota, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. Surviving are three daughters, Elaine Lain and husband, Gene, of Cranberry, Joan Schewnn and husband, Devern, of Milbank, S.D., and Dorothy Haught and husband, Don, of Reader, W.Va.; one son, William "Bill" Milliron and wife, Nancy, of Acme; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Milliron was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Thelma Fern Milliron; a brother, William Frisbie; and two sisters, Shirley Frisbie and Dorothy Volkmar. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Morrison Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Van United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Robert Myers officiating. Interment will be in the Emerickville United Methodist Cemetery in Emerickville. Sara Elizabeth Slater Sara Elizabeth Slater, 15, of Kennerdell, died Monday evening, Oct. 4, 2004, at her residence. Born April 26, 1989, in Franklin, she was the daughter of David L. and Tamara S. "Tammy" Rankin Slater. She was a member of the sophomore class at Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg, where she was a member of the girls volleyball team and the school chorus. Sara also was involved with the Educational Talent Search through Clarion University and her school district. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Emlenton. Sara enjoyed riding four-wheelers with her friends. Surviving are her parents of Kennerdell; two brothers, Matthew Slater of Monongahela and Mark Slater and his fiancee, Heather Kihn, of Emlenton; and her maternal grandparents, Paul L. and Helen Griffin Rankin of Clintonville. She also is survived by one aunt and husband, Kris and Jim Lingenfelter of New Castle; three uncles and their wives, Robert and Janet Slater of Chicora, Bruce and Pauline Rankin of Emlenton and Kevin and Valerie Rankin of Kennerdell; and a number of cousins. Hagan, 53, of East Drive, Lucinda, formerly of Oil City, died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at her home. Among her survivors are her paternal grandmother, Edna McNellie of the Oil City Presbyterian Home; a brother and his wife, Philip and Kimberly McNellie of Oil City; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Oil City and the Clarion area.
