Bonnett, Route 68, Clarion Agnes "Aggie" Baker Crandall, Bozeman, Mont., formerly of Lucinda Mary Lucille Nulph, Youngsville, formerly of Irvine Mary Gertrude "Murph" Perkins, Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Oil City Mary E. "Betty" Shakley, Parker Lois Frances Walter, Chestnut Street., Rimersburg Elizabeth "Betty" Winger, 7 E. Second St., formerly of 326 Emerald St., Oil City Nannette R. Bonnett Nannette R. Bonnett, 46, of Route 68, Clarion, Monroe Township, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, in Clarview Nursing Home, Sligo. She died of Mitrochrondial Muscle Disease. Born Oct. 5, 1958, in Clarion, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Nancy Heffner Barnett of Knox. She was a 1976 graduate of Keystone High School, Knox, and also graduated from Clarion University with a degree in teaching. She was fluent in Spanish and French. Mrs. Bonnett was a substitute teacher for the Clarion and Keystone school districts. She also worked for 10 years at the Owens-Illinois glass factory. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Reidsburg. Mrs. Bonnett was married Aug. 12, 1978, to Terry J. Bonnett, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Nicholas Bonnett and wife, Stacey, of Warrenton, Va.; her parents; and one sister, Kendra LeMaster and husband, Jeff, of Atlanta, Ga. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy D. Fetzer; and her grandmother, Ruth Heffner. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Goble Funeral Home, 330 Wood St., Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Reidsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the VNA Hospice of Knox. Agnes 'Aggie' Baker Crandall Agnes "Aggie" Baker Crandall, 69, of Bozeman, Mont., formerly of Lucinda, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, after a short battle with ovarian cancer. She accepted her fate with dignity, grace and a healthy dose of humor. Born Dec. 29, 1934, in Arthurs, she was the daughter of Joseph and Regina Baker. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School, Lucinda, and Duff Business College, Pittsburgh. Mrs. Crandall worked for the U.S. Navy Department from 1954-1960 in Washington, D.C., where she met and married her late husband, Hugh Crandall. She worked as a naturalist for many national parks, including Shenandoah and Yellowstone. Surviving are her stepson, Scott Crandall and wife, Alicia, of Gaithersburg, Md.; three brothers, Albinus Baker of Shippenville, Joseph Baker and wife, Mary, of Lucinda, and Edward Baker and wife, Irene, of Strattanville; and four sisters, Vera Jasperse and husband, Roger, of Greencastle, Jeanne Baker Kurtzhal of Cumming, Ga., Lucy Baker Grady of Minot Air Force Base, N.D., and Annette Minich and husband, Ralph, of Fairmount City. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Crandall was preceded in death by a sister, Katie Baker Meehan; and two brothers, Kenneth Baker and Bernard Baker. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bozeman. Interment was in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman. Mary Lucille Nulph Mary Lucille Nulph, 82, formerly of Irvine, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, in the Rouse-Warren County Home, Youngsville, where she had been a resident. Born July 26,1922,she was the daughter of Harry Baker and Laura Alfred Wing. She was a 1940 graduate of Clarion High School. Mrs. Nulph was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church and the WSCS at the Methodist church in Irvine. She enjoyed singing, being in the choir, playing the piano and embroidering. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Betty) Sanford of Youngsville; a son, Russell Leigh Nulph of Bunnell, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. She also is survived by a sister, Ms. Morris (Pearl) Heeter of Clarion; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nulph was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Carlson; a brother, Clifford Wing; a sister, Ruby Ransom; and two infant brothers. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the McKinney Funeral Home Inc. in Youngsville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Dr. Donald Russell, pastor of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Youngsville, officiating. Mary Gertrude "Murph" Perkins Mary Gertrude "Murph" Perkins, 62, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Oil City, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, in Mease Countryside Hospital at Safety Harbor, Fla., after a short battle with bone cancer. Born Feb. 21, 1942, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Jack and Gertrude Huefner Frawley. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph High School and graduated from Mercyhurst College, Erie, with a degree in teaching. Mrs. Perkins recently retired from the Pinellas County School System after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Pinellas County Teachers Association. Surviving are one son, Mitchell Scott Perkins of Clearwater, Fla.; and a daughter, Beth Perkins of Safety Harbor, Fla. She also is survived by five brothers and sisters, Joan Butiste Phalen of Palm Harbor, John S. Frawley of Millington, Tenn., Thomas J. Frawley of Oak Ridge, N.J., Barbara Davison Crudo of Oil City and Arthur J. Frawley of Hollywood, Fla.; two aunts, Margaret Frawley Flis of Oil City and Ruth Huefner Calhoun of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Maria; and a brother, William E. Frawley. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with Msgr. John W. Swoger, pastor, presiding. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Following services at church, the family will continue to receive friends the rest of the day at the home of Barb and Frank Crudo, 13 Greenwood Drive, Oil City. The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mary E. 'Betty' Shakley Mary E. "Betty" Shakley, 80, of Parker, wife of Dean Shakley, the former longtime mayor of Parker, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo, following an eight-month illness. Mrs. Shakley was among the first group of patients transferred on the opening day to the new hospital, UPMC Northwest at Seneca. Born March 27, 1924, in Bruin, Butler County, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Frances Zagst Rose. During and after World War II, Mrs. Shakley was employed by the former Knox Glass Corp. in Parker. Later, she was employed by W.A. Moyer & Sons Level Works in Parker until the plant closed in the early 1980s. Mrs. Shakley was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Parker. She was a longtime active member of the Altar-Rosary Society as well as chairwoman of the mercy dinners for many years. Along with her two daughters, Mrs. Shakley was instrumental in the operation of the food bank in the Parker Community Building until recent months when ill health prevented her participation. Mrs. Shakley was a member and past treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Parker City Volunteer Fire Department. She also was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Parker VFW Post No. 7073. She enjoyed growing beautiful flower gardens, nurturing potted floral plants and collecting any type of religious figurines. Mrs. Shakley first was married in 1943 to James Floyd "Curt" Sproull, who died in 1956. She then was married in 1963 to Dean R. Shakley, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Deana L. Shakley at home; one stepdaughter, Pam Olama of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, James Sproull of Richmond, Va., and Robert "Skip" Sproull of Kennesaw, Ga.; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Grace Zambo of Elizabeth Township; one brother, Ronald Rose of Upper St. Clair; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Anne Ace, Aug. 18, 2001; and two brothers, William and Robert Rose. Lois Frances Walter Lois Frances Walter, 81, of Chestnut Street, Rimersburg, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo, following an illness. Born July 10, 1923, in Sligo, she was the daughter of Theodore H. and Mabel Ellen Craig Spare. She was a 1940 graduate of Sligo High School. Mrs. Walter had been employed at Owens-Illinois in Clarion and at Eccles Nursery and the Archway cookie plant, both in Rimersburg. She was affiliated with the Jerusalem Evangelical and Reformed Church in Rimersburg. Mrs. Walter enjoyed gardening and baking. She was married Feb. 15, 1947, to Ivan Kenneth Walter, who died Oct. 18, 1966. They were married by Rev. Leguear in the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Rimersburg. Surviving are a son and his wife, Kenneth J. and Julia Walter of Dover; a daughter, Susan Painter of Rimersburg; four grandchildren, Bradley Walter and wife, Marissa, of Pittston, Todd Walter and wife, Katie, of York, and Tyler Painter and Toby Painter, both of Rimersburg; and two great-grandchildren, Kristen Walter of Pittston and Emily Walter of York. She also is survived by a sister, Betty Bowser and husband, Gerald, of Grove City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Walter was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Craig Spare; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth Smith. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home in Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. James M. Second St., Oil City, formerly of 326 Emerald St., Oil City, died at 2:27 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
