Davis, 50, of 312 Narrow Lane, Seneca, died at 9:25 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, in UPMC Northwest after an extended illness. Born July 27, 1954, in Oil City, he was the son of Emmitt Clyde Davis Jr. and Beverly Ann Kimes Davis Prenatt. Mr. Davis was educated in the Titusville Area Schools. He was a lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps, serving from January 1972 to January 1976. Mr. Davis had been a project manager for Flora-Daniel and the Atlantic Richfield Co. and also had worked for Dupont. He had been a member of the Victory Heights United Brethren Church. Mr. Davis enjoyed scuba diving, photography, cooking, fine cuisine and music. He also liked playing the guitar, reading, nature and traveling. He previously had been married to Gigi Davis, who survives in Columbia, S.C. Also surviving are two children, Ciji Davis Williams and husband, Chris, and Dustin Lee Davis, all of Lexington, S.C.; five brothers and sisters, Ronald and Shirley Prenatt of Ohio, Penny Davis Prenatt Wilson and husband, John, of Oil City, Tammie J. Shaffer and husband, Dan, John Kenneth Prenatt and wife, Julie, and Tina Marie Irwin and husband, Jeff, all of Seneca; and the following nieces and nephews, Josh and Jeremy Boyer, Heather Shaffer Chambers, Adam Shaffer, Corey Irwin, Tiffany Prenatt, J.J. Prenatt, Chantal Prenatt, Cody Prenatt, Amber Prenatt and Nathan Prenatt. He also is survived by his stepfather, Roland A. Prenatt of Seneca. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents. Hazel Rebecca Ebbert Hazel Rebecca Ebbert, 86, of 400 Rover Ave., Emlenton, died at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, in UPMC Northwest. Born Aug. 5, 1918, in Reno, she was the daughter of C. Andrew and Katie Hendren Ebbert. Miss Ebbert was a 1936 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and attended business school in Youngstown, Ohio. She worked at Oilwell Supply in Oil City from 1937 to 1956. She then opened the Tippery Red & White Store with her cousin, Mary Felmlee, and retired in 1980. Miss Ebbert enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews swimming and for ice cream. She also enjoyed card club and spending time with her family. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Margaret E. Pritchard of Emlenton, with whom she made her home, Mrs. John (Clara) Mitchell of Franklin and Mrs. Sally Walker of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Robert H. Ebbert of Oil City, Walter T. Ebbert of Reno and H. Dean Ebbert of Sandy Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Ebbert was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth LeRoy Ebbert and John A. Ebbert; and two sisters, Mrs. John D. (Ruth) Walker and Mrs. Russell (Ina) Culp. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Morrison Funeral Home. Omiatek, 47, of 136 Wilson Ave., Franklin, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at her home. Born Jan. 5, 1957, in Franklin, she was the daughter of John Maloney Jr. and Rosalie Hoffman Maloney. Mrs. Omiatek attended school in the Rocky Grove District before moving with her family to Florida where she was graduated from high school. She was married May 7, 2004, to Joseph T. Omiatek, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sarah Bedick and a son, Ian Bedick, both of Utica; three sisters, Eilene Hutton and husband, Steve, of Sarasota, Fla., Connie Edge of Franklin and Kerry Maloney of Dana, N.C.; and a brother, John Maloney III of Clarion. Mrs. Omiatek was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph Maloney; and a sister, Kathryn Cornejo. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Utica Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rachel Johns, pastor, officiating. Ritzic, 62, of Tionesta and Akron, Ohio., died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, in the home of his son in Tionesta. Born Nov. 27, 1941, in Portage, he was the son of John and Rhoda DeCort Ritzic, who survive in Barnesboro. Mr. Ritzic retired in December 2003 after 44 years with Braden Sutphin Ink Co. of Cleveland, Ohio, where he was employed as a technical service manager. He loved the outdoors, the Tionesta area and farming with his son. Mr. Ritzic was married in Barnesboro Sept. 11, 1965, to Kathleen Blick, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, John E. Ritzic and wife, Lucy, of Akron, Ohio, and Matthew P. Ritzic of Tionesta; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Scalia and husband, Vince, of Akron and Nancy L. White and husband, Bryan, of Painesville, Ohio; and five granddaughters. He also is survived by two brothers, James Ritzic and wife, Wanda, of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Walter Ritzic and wife, Karen, of Barnesboro; one sister, Victoria Ritzic of Tionesta; and several nieces and nephews. Scannell, 77, of 2687 Old Route 322, Sugarcreek, died at 10:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, in Sugar Creek Station, Franklin. Born Nov. 3, 1926, in Franklin, he was the son of Herbert F. and Freda Mae DeLong Scannell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Scannell worked as a machinist for the physical therapy department at Polk Center, building and repairing chairs and more for disabled clients. He was a member of the Community Church of God. Mr. Scannell also was a member of Myrtle Lodge No. 316, F. & A.M.; Knights Templar; Franklin Commandry No. 44; Venango Chapter No. 211; Scottish Rite-Valley of New Castle; Keystone Council No. 42; and PT Boat, Inc. He was married April 2, 1953, to Maxine N. "Mickey" Nunemaker, who survives. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scannell was preceded in death by a son, Steven D. Scannell. There will be no visiting hours. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Community Church of God with the Rev. Jerry Lyon, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery. Service set for Paula Bunner A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary United Methodist Church of Oil City for Paula Sue Whitling Bunner of Clarksburg, W.Va., a former Oil City resident who died Sept. 21. Mrs. Bunner, the wife of Thomas H. Bunner, was a 1971 graduate of Oil City High School and was a former employee of Sears Roebuck of Oil City. The Rev. John Emigh, pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Don Poole of Knox United Methodist Church, formerly of the Calvary church, will officiate at the memorial. Interment was in Concord Cemetery near Belington, W.Va.
