But I am not sure yet. Frederick was born in Ohio in 1861 and I have found a family on the 1880 census from Erie, Ohio with those names. According to family lore they had not been in the country very long, having come from either Alsace Lorain or Germany.... Let me know if any of this sounds familiar to you...
