Fisher Kathryn C. Fisher, 87, of 410 Egbert St., Franklin, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 14, 2007, in the Heart of Florida Hospital, Davenport, Fla. She had been residing in the Central Park Community Center, Haines City, Fla. Born Feb. 17, 1920, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of William H. and Blanche K. Von Alt Blanch. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School. Mrs. Fisher was well-known as the office manager of Dr. Richard Eshelman, working there for 20 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Grace Lutheran Church in Franklin. She was active in the Central Park Community Center in Haines City where she was involved in the church and particularly enjoyed bingo. She was known as Mom at the center. Mrs. Fisher was married April 13, 1942, to George D. Fisher, who died Nov. 28, 1974. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Dan and Sharon Fisher of Franklin and Rick and Marilyn Fisher of Meadville; five grandchildren, Fred Fisher and wife, GiGi, of Meadville, Cris Yoder and husband, Dave, of Cochranton, Rickell Hilty and husband, Dan, of Leechburg, Jeffrey Fisher and wife, Misty, of Uniontown and Jason Fisher of Meadville; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy L. Alleman, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Hutz, 87, formerly of 1233 Otter St., Franklin, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, in The Caring Place, Franklin. The Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin, is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Friday in The Derrick. Kathleen M. Mohney, 65, of 151 Kohlersburg Road, New Bethlehem (Distant), died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in her residence. Born Oct. 28, 1942, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of Richard and Ruth McClafferty Edwards. Mrs. Mohney retired as head cook for the Redbank Valley High School cafeteria. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose and VFW, both in New Bethlehem. Mrs. Mohney loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping with her friend, Lynda, and vacations with her sisters. Mrs. Mohney was married Nov. 26, 1960, to Chester J. "Chet" Mohney, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Steven Mohney and wife, Ruth, Lisa Bowser and husband, Steve, and Christina L. Mohney, all of New Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Bobby and Tammy Chestnut; Ashley and Ted Wells; Jessie and Levi Wolfgang; Breanna Mohney and Brady Crissman; and Jacob Bowser; and three great-grandchildren, Karlee Paige Wells, Kaylee Morgan Wells and Kloey Bryn Chestnut. She also is survived by two sisters, Sandra Dittman and husband, Tim, of Knox and Jan Zamperini of Punxsutawney; special friends, Ralph and Lynda Riggle; and her dog, Tia Maria. Mrs. Mohney was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, John S. Sloan; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Smith and Suzanne Edwards. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Mahoning Township. Anita I. Morse Anita I. Morse, 94, of Erie, formerly of Franklin, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Hamot Medical Center, Erie. Born Nov. 5, 1913, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Willis and Edith Shreffler Mauk. She had resided in Erie since 1942. Mrs. Morse was a member of the Calvary Evangelical Covenant Church. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and playing cards. Mrs. Morse was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harold C. Morse. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Donald C. and Linda S. Morse of Waterford and Ronald H. and Karen Morse of Harborcreek Township; one stepdaughter, Marie A. Semple of Harborcreek; one stepson, Richard C. Morse and wife, Mary Evelyn, of Burke, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Emma Ruth Rhoads, 89, a longtime resident of Knox, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, in Clarview Nursing Home, Sligo, following a period of failing health. Born May 7, 1918, in Tionesta, she was the daughter of Eva and Curtis Carbaugh. Mrs. Rhoads worked in the kitchen of the Clarion Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a homemaker, was an avid quilter and loved tending her flower and vegetable gardens. Mrs. Rhoads was a member of the Church of God in Turkey City. Surviving are eight children: Charles A. Rhoads and wife, Carol, Nancy McKinney, Sandra DeCamp, Faye Hoffman and husband, Frenis, Arlene Smith and husband, Rayburn "Doug," Faith Abernethy and husband, Wayne, Von Rhoads and wife, Sheri, and Arthur Rhoads; 25 grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; more than 40 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, Harry and Orion Carbaugh; and a sister Dorothy Caley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rhoads was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Otis Rhoads, who died May 9, 1996; and a daughter, Constance Zotara, who died Dec. 26, 2005. "Dick:" Smith, 82, of Strattanville, died unexpectedly at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in his home. Born Oct. 5, 1925, in Clarion, he was the son of Harry T. and Mary M. McCamant Smith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. Smith retired as a welder from CPT in Franklin. He also was a welding instructor at Clarion Vo-Tech School. He was a member of Clarion Moose Lodge, No.101. Mr. Smith enjoyed woodworking, fishing and visiting with friends. He was of the Protestant faith. He was married Jan. 28, 1946, to Evelyn C. Smith, who preceded him in death Sept. 26, 1993. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Pamela J. and Joe Brinkley and Patricia A. and Charlie Cyphert, all of Clarion; seven grandchildren, Jason Brinkley and wife, Stephanie, of Clarion, Benjamin Brinkley and wife, Allison, of Charlotte, N.C., Todd Smith and wife, Missy, of Summerville, Bill Smith and wife, Di, of Clarion, Laura Dunn and husband, Craig, of Clarion, Rick Staley and wife, Kelley, of Pittsburgh and Bart Staley and wife, Val, of Greencastle; 11 great-grandchildren; and a longtime friend, Margaret A. Courson of Rimersburg. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by one son, Thomas M. Smith, July 2, 1988. Service set for Arthur Cole Benninger A Celebration of Life Service for Arthur Cole Benninger, 89, of Seneca, formerly of Tionesta, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Seneca United Methodist Church, 196 E. State Road, Seneca, with the Rev. Robert H. Wilson, pastor, officiating. Mr. Benninger died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, in his residence.
