The Derrick, November 22, 2007: Victor A. Bechtel, Warren, Mich. Marie Elizabeth Johnson, RD1 Tionesta Helen T. Lilly, West Sixth Street, Oil City Bruce Eugene Sanders, Bellville, Ohio Victor A. Bechtel, 47, of Warren, Mich., died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, following an extended illness. Born on March 18, 1960 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Larry and Mary Rennacker Bechtel. Mr. Bechtel attended Titusville High School. He was a veteran, having served five years with the U.S. Army. He had been employed as a machinist in the fabrication industry and also as a carpentry contractor. Mr. Bechtel enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating, camping, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling home to Pennsylvania to visit family. He had a special pet dog, Bear. He was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews. Mr. Bechtel is survived by his grandmother, Ruth Bechtel of Oil City ; a sister, Tracy Ryskalczyk and her husband, Dennis, of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; his former wife, Nabila Bechtel of Warren, Michigan; a nephew, Jonathan Angeles and his wife, Shannon, of Virginia; nieces, Sr. Airman Jessica Angeles who is serving with the U.S. Air Force stationed in the Middle East; Megan Angeles and Rebecca Ryskalczyk, both of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; a great nephew, Gage Angeles; the following aunts and uncles, Betty and Andy Confer of Grand Valley; Doris Bechtel, Carl and Janet O'Neil, William and Dede Bechtel, all of Oil City; Jane Bechtel of Williamsburg, Va.; Patricia Gealy of Erie; Alberta and Robert Nordstrom of Warren; Mary and Larry Hadaway of Ames, Iowa, and Alice Wardian of Youngtown, Ariz.; as well as numerous cousins. Washington St., Titusville from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at which time a memorial service will be conducted with Jacqueline Wagner, senior assistant to the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Marie Elizabeth Johnson, 94, of RD1 Tionesta, died on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at the Oil City Presbyterian Home where she lived since October 2002. Born Sept. 29, 1913 in Oil City, she was the daughter of Frank and Matilda Sumosky Bucholz. She worked at F.W. Woolworth's until she was married. Mrs. Johnson was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. She was the oldest member of the parish. She sang in the church choir and also sang with the Frolicking Fraulines at the annual Oktoberfest. On June 20, 1936, she married George R. Johnson. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1996. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1996. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Wagner and her husband, Edwin, of RD Tionesta. Also surviving are a grandson, David A. Wagner and his wife, Jodi, of Cranberry, and a great granddaughter, Madison Lynne Wagner. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Bucholz and Leo Bucholz, and three sisters, Stella Bouquin, Christine Milner and Leona Lehnortt. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael Church, Fryburg with the Rev. David Poulson, pastor of the church, presiding. Interment will be in Sunset Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Oil City Presbyterian Home or St. Michael Church in Fryburg. Helen T. Lilly, 90, of West Sixth Street, Oil City, died at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at the Titusville Area Hospital. Born July 28, 1917 in Mercer, she was a daughter of the late John and Blanche Reeher Taylor. Mrs. Lilly was a 1935 graduate of Mercer High School and a 1937 graduate of Grove City College. She worked for the Oil City School tax office for many years. Prior to that, she had worked for Catlin Business Service in Oil City and Sterling Oil Division in Emlenton. Mrs. Lilly was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oil City, Pennsylvania School Retirees, Belles Lettres Club, YWCA and the Gallivanters. On April 26, 1941 in Mercer, she married William H. Lilly, who preceded her in death on April 23, 1978. Mrs. Lilly is survived by two children, Steven T. Lilly and his wife, the former Margo Necci, of Erie, and Lynne M. Berkebile and her husband, Timothy, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Paula Crew, Kent Lilly, Mark Berkebile and Aaron Berkebile; two great grandchildren, Devin and Timothy, and two nieces, Sue Rodemoyer and Jill Vollmer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marion McCartney. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Joseph E. Filer, IV, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Bruce Eugene Sanders Bruce Eugene Sanders, 45, of Bellville, Ohio, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at Med Central Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born March 9, 1962 in Clarion to John O. and Norma Mae (Summers) Sanders. He was a 1980 Westland High School graduate. Mr. Sanders was formerly employed by JB Foote Foundry in Fredericktown and was currently employed for the Gorman - Rupp Pump Co. in Mansfield. He is survived by his father, John Sanders, of Howard; his sister, Vicki (Ted) Armentrout, of Grove City, and aunts and uncles, William and Joyce Summers of Largo, Fla., William and Donna Johns Summers of Cranberry and Joan and Karl Jack of Grand Junction, Colo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Mae Sanders, and a cousin, Lori Summers. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, Ohio. Calling hours will also be held for one hour prior to Saturday's funeral services. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Spaulding officiating.
