"Kit" Craig, West Sunbury Road, Boyers Lillian Mae Hollabaugh, 173 Donation Hill Road, Cochranton Grace Elizabeth Porter, South Fifth Avenue, Clarion Cecil Dwight Weeter, South Reidsburg Road, New Bethlehem Carol A. "Kit" Craig, 72, of West Sunbury Road, Boyers, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at Grove City Medical Center after an extended illness. Born Sept. 13, 1935, in Marion Township, Butler County, she was the daughter of Arthur Lynch and Mabel Chambers. She married Donald J. Craig on Oct. 6, 1956, and he survives. Mrs. Craig lived in the Boyers area her entire life and graduated from Grove City High School. She was a life member of Boyers United Methodist Church, and she was very active in the church. Mrs. Craig and her husband worked for the Meals on Wheels that was affiliated with the church, and they served meals throughout the Boyers area. She also worked with the thrift store that was operated by the church. She attended the Oil City Hospital Nursing School and graduated from there in 1956. She was a registered nurse for more than 43 years, and she worked at Bashline Memorial Hospital in Grove City for 10 years, the Mercer Osteopathic Clinic for 23 years and the Family Health Care Practice in Grove City for 10 years. Mrs. Craig enjoyed quilting and was very active in community projects, but her love of family was always a priority to her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Timothy D. "Tim" Craig of Suffolk, Va.; one sister, Opal Bollinger and her husband, Dean, of Boyers; and one brother, David Lynch and his wife, Velma, of Grove City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gaylord Lynch. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Kathy Soltis of Boyers United Methodist Church officiating. Lillian Mae Hollabaugh, 83, of 173 Donation Hill Road, Cochranton, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at Meadville Medical Center. Born Aug. 26, 1924, in Venango County, she was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth McCurry. She married Kenneth A. Hollabaugh on May 20, 1944, and he preceded her in death Aug. 3, 2003. Mrs. Hollabaugh was a housewife and was involved at the Franklin Curb Market with her husband for 49 years, resigning in 2003. She was a member of Deckards United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed working on the family farm, collecting family photos and spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Emily. Mrs. Hollabaugh is survived by eight children, Linda McCune and her husband, Bob, of Franklin, Art Hollabaugh of Hannaville, Jean Wojton and her husband, Stanley, of Youngstown, Ohio, Judy Penfield and her husband, Bill, of Amherst, Ohio, Don Hollabaugh and his wife, Bert, of Franklin, Pearl Jenkins and her friend, Bob Detullio, of Atlanta, Ga., Ken Hollabaugh of Cochranton, and Mary McClintock and her husband, Mark, of Rouseville. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Spence and her husband, Randy, of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Francis Marie McCurry of Kaneville; and two brothers, Glenn McCurry and his wife, Norma, of Greenville, and Dave McCurry and his wife, Jean, of Oil City. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Jarzenski Wilson; one sister and three grandchildren. Grace Elizabeth Porter, 89, of South Fifth Avenue, Clarion, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Jan. 6, 1918, in Strattanville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Orr Champion and Ella Hamler Champion. She married Delbert Franklin Hollingswoth in 1935, and he preceded her in death in 1964. She then married Gerald Budd Cotton in 1968, and he died in 1971. She later married Kenneth Porter, and he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Porter attended the Strattanville and Crates schools, and she worked in the decorating department at Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Clarion from 1947 until she retired in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of Strattanville United Methodist Church for 79 years. Mrs. Porter also was a NASCAR fan, and Rusty Wallace was her favorite driver. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and Bible study. She is survived by one son, Delbert Joseph "Bud" Hollingsworth of Clarion; one daughter-in-law, Elfriede Hollingsworth of Clarion; one brother, George Champion and his wife, Betty, of Strattanville; one grandson, Steven L. Hollingsworth; and two sisters-in-law, Ethel Champion of Day City and Irene Champion of Strattanville. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by one son, David Blair Hollingsworth; and four brothers, David, Clark, JA "Pete" and Wilmer "Ike" Champion. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Strattanville Cemetery. Cecil Dwight Weeter, 75, of South Reidsburg Road, New Bethlehem, died at 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in Clarion Hospital surrounded by his family. Born Nov. 20, 1931, in Porter Township, Clarion County, he was the son of Thomas B. and Millie Delp Weeter. He was a 1949 graduate of Porter Township High School. He was married to Janice B. Allen on Oct. 23, 1954, and she survives. Mr. Weeter was an active member of the First Church of God in New Bethlehem. He served in many capacities in the churches he attended. He owned and operated the family farm in Porter Township before his retirement. Mr. Weeter also worked for McCauley Trucking, Owens Illinois and Ancient Sun Coal Co., and he was a Porter Township supervisor. He loved and appreciated all God created. Mr. Weeter had many valued friends and neighbors, and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Weeter is survived by one daughter, Jody Minich and her husband, Doug, of Fairmount City; one son, Stacy Weeter and his wife, Elaine, of New Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Ryan Minich and his wife, Angela, Joshua Minich and his wife, Lindsay, Janna Minich Daniels and her husband, Shaun, and Ross Weeter; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Brianna Minich. Also surviving are two sisters, Velma Lucas and MaryLee Cunningham; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Cunningham and Edward "Pete" Hartle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Electa Jean Hartle; and one brother-in-law, Robert Lucas. Friends were received Sunday at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, and friends will also be received from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the First Church of God, Route 861, New Bethlehem. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church with the Rev. John Phillips presiding. Interment will be at Leatherwood Cemetery in Porter Township. The family suggests memorials be made to the New Bethlehem First Church of God Building Fund.
