"Charlie" Wiencek, 159 Bela Road, Parker Ethel Beatrice Hollenbaugh Beers, 91, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in Manchaca, Texas. Mrs. Beers was born March 16, l916, in Reynoldsville. She was a devout Christian and an accomplished seamstress, and she also made ceramics and was an avid reader. She was a CB radio enthusiast and a ham radio operator, and she crocheted many treasures for her family. Mrs. Beers loved her friends and family and was deeply loved by all. She had a great sense of duty and loyalty to her family. She married Homer Edward Beers on June 7, l933, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1995. Mrs. Beers is survived by two daughters, Ethel Carroll Rye and her husband, Fred, of Manchaca, Texas, and Beverly Ann Rhoads and her husband, Donald, of Clariendon, N.Y.; one son, Robert Edwin Beers and his wife, Donna, of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Hope Sprankle; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Drayer, 77, of 2132 Pumptown Road, Fairmount City, died at 10:24 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born March 2, 1930, in Fairmount City, he was the son of Walter Edward Drayer and Elizabeth McGregor Drayer Yoder. He married the former Wilda L. Gourley on Sept. 21, 1949, and she survives. Mr. Drayer was the manager of Reed Milling in Brookville until his retirement. He was affiliated with Oakwood Presbyterian Church. Mr. Drayer enjoyed woodworking, hunting with his sons and gardening. In addition to his wife, Mr. Drayer is survived by three sons, Rodney Drayer and his wife, Diana, of Rimersburg, Steven Drayer and his wife, Mayra, of Woodbridge, Va., and Keith Drayer and his fianc,e, Anna Aldrich, of New Bethlehem; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Preston Drayer; and one sister, Thelma Bowser. "Bob" Duke, 84, of Saxonburg, formerly of Emlenton and Fawn Township, Allegheny County, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Elmcroft of Saxonburg following an illness. Mr. Duke was born in Tarentum, Allegheny County, on Oct. 5, 1923. He was the son of John W. and Alma R. Stobert Duke. He was a graduate of Tarentum High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Duke received his Naval training in Great Lakes, Ill., and he served aboard the USS Stern. Mr. Duke was retired from Duke Excavating, a business he owned and operated in Fawn Township, Allegheny County. He was married Aug. 8, 1947, at Westminster Church in Saxonburg to G. Louise Ruediger. She preceded him in death April 18, 2007. Mr. Duke was a member of New Zion E.C. Church in Emlenton, where he had served as assistant treasurer. Mr. Duke enjoyed hunting and camping. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Charles Duke and his wife, Joan, of Franklin, Darlene Johnson and her husband, Jerry, of Beaumont, Texas, and Brian Duke and his wife, Candy, of Soulsbyville, Calif.; and one sister, Deniece Teklinski of North Versailles. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Amy Zuccolotto and her husband, Anthony, of Freeport, James Duke and his wife, Paula, of Cabot, Rick Oliva of Beaumont, Texas, Lori Billiot and her husband, Marc, of Houston, Texas, Tami McGhee and her husband, Jason, of Katy, Texas, Tina Baker of Saxonburg, Jason Duke and his wife, Diane, of Renfrew, and Justin Duke and his wife, Lauren, of Independence, Ky. Mr. Duke is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Frances Duke of Marion, N.Y., and Joanne Kokenda and her husband, Jack, of Melbourne, Fla. Mr. Duke was preceded in death by two brothers, John W. Duke and Walter L. Duke; one grandson, Thomas Charles Duke; and one brother-in-law, Louis Teklinski. Born Jan. 6, 1946, in Chicora, he was the son of Richard C. and Pearl E. Cope McClure. He graduated from Clarion High School. Mr. McClure served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a machinist at Joy Mining, and after that he became self employed, owning and operating Dick's Garage in Rocky Grove. Mr. McClure enjoyed working on different autos and taking his 1969 Chevy Chevelle to classic auto shows. He was married in 1968 to the former Linda Detrick, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Susan M. McClure of Ashtabula, Ohio, Sharon L. McClure of Oil City and Stacy A. McClure of Rocky Grove; two grandchildren, Kayla L. McClure of Oil City and Aiden Richard McClure of Rocky Grove; and four sisters, Donna Renninger and her husband, Robert, of Annville, Pa., Ella Mahle and her husband, Charles, of Strattanville, Karen Kossman and her husband, Terry, of Oil City, and Bonnie Neely and her husband, Rick, also of Oil City; a special friend, Doug Wagner of Reno; and several nieces and nephews. "Pepper" Petsinger, 55, of 40 Cedar Drive, West Warwick, R.I., formerly of West Middlesex, Knox and Rural Valley, died at 6:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, R.I., with her daughter and sister by her side. Her death followed a long, brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born Oct. 5, 1952, in Newport, R.I., she was the daughter of Donald A. and Mary Ann Daugherty Stinedurf. She was a 1970 graduate of West Middlesex High School, and she received her bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University. She also attended the Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and was pastor of Salem United Church of Christ in Knox for 11 years before moving to Rhode Island in July 2006. She formerly was employed by the Armstrong/Indiana Mental Health/Mental Retardation agency as a waiver coordinator. She also previously worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for White Deer Run and the drug and alcohol commission. She coordinated the Parents Anonymous organization in Clarion, and she was a member of the Keystone High School Youth Board in Knox. She also served as vice president of the Knox Food Cupboard and previously had been a volunteer emergency medical technician in Dayton, Pa. She enjoyed writing, music and the theatre, and she sang with local bands for 17 years. She was also a vocalist at Salem United Church of Christ and served as president of the Knox Community Choir for two years. She is survived by one son, Aaron Trezona and his wife, Jamie, of Ossian, Iowa; one daughter, Kimberly Regan and her husband, Brian, of West Warwick, R.I.; her mother, Mary Ann Stinedurf of Wheatland, Pa.; five grandchildren, Elijah Regan, Garrett Trezona, Duncan Trezona, Wyatt Trezona and Brittany Altman; and an additional grandson due to be born in February, Brodey Regan. Also surviving are two brothers, Donald Stinedurf of Leeper and Kenneth Stinedurf and his wife, Karen, of Hermitage; one sister, Diana Mazur and her husband, Robert, of Wheatland, Pa.; and her fiance, Robert Baker of Knox. "Charlie" Wiencek, 23, of 159 Bela Road, Parker, was found dead Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, in Perry Township, Clarion County, in a vehicle that had caught on fire. Born May 26, 1984, in Kittanning, he was the son of David and Joyce Shaffer Wiencek. Mr. Wiencek was a part-time carpenter and roofer, and he also dealt in scrap metals. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his son. Mr. Wiencek is survived by his son, Hunter B. Wiencek; his significant other, Anna Meshanko; his mother, Joyce Shook and her husband, Dan, of Cranberry; three brothers, Butch Wiencek, James Wiencek and Kristian Kunrod, all of Cranberry; his maternal grandfather, Charles Shaffer and his wife, Phyllis, of Rockland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
