    3. The Derrick, November 29, 2007: Rosemary M. Hartle, Lucinda Margaret Mabel Porter, Seyster Road, Franklin Rosemary M. Hartle, 91, of Lucinda, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, 2007, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo. Born May 25, 1916, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of August and Catherine Schneider Muller. Mrs. Hartle was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda and the Rosary Society of the church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, crafts, reading and her grandchildren. Mrs. Hartle was married May 26, 1934, to Edward W. Hartle, who died April 2, 1981. Surviving are one son, Edward "Pete" Hartle of Shippenville; two daughters, Anita Smrekar and husband, Henry, of Lucinda and Mary Hartle of Fairmount City; six grandchildren, Douglas Hartle, Rhonda Ritts and husband, Doug, Barb Ochs, Linda LaVan and husband, Timothy F., Deb Radaker and husband, Bob, and Anna Mills and husband, Michael; and eight great-grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Radaker, Nicholas and Jennifer Ochs, Braden and Ethan Ritts, and Ava and Alex Mills. She also is survived by one sister, Emmanvelletta "Pat" McGrath of Shrewsbury, N.J. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hartle was preceded in death by one son, Leonard P. Hartle; a daughter-in-law, Electa "Jean" Hartle; a sister, Ruth Cunningham; a brother-in-law, Harold McGrath; and infant twin brothers. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, Clarion. A wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, Lucinda, with the Rev. William C. Miller, pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice, P.O. Box 668, Knox, 16232, or to the Alzheimer's Association. Margaret Mabel Porter, 66, of Seysler Road, Franklin, Venango County, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, following an illness. Mrs. Porter was a 40-year resident in the Galloway area of Venango County. Born Feb. 16, 1941, in Shamburg, Piney Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles Samuel Ferringer and Helen Marie Schreckengost Ferringer. Mrs. Porter attended school in Rimersburg and Rocky Grove where her father ministered in Pilgrim Holiness churches in those areas. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Porter was married in Franklin July 25, 1958, to Alfred W. Porter Sr., who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Charles S. Porter of Sugarcreek, Venango County, and Alfred W. Porter Jr. of Franklin. She also is survived by one brother, Noah W. Ferringer and wife, Barbara C., of Grove City; three sisters, Sally McClaine of East Brady, Pam Caulfield and husband, Jack, of Clarion and Doris Crawford of Butler; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by two brothers, John Ferringer and Charles Ferringer Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Bickel and Betty Courson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home in Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Guntrum, pastor of the Carwick Wesleyan Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Rimersburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice, Knox, 16232.
