The Derrick, August 17, 2007: Sarah Katheryn "Katie" Kiskadden, 96, formerly of Cherrytree Road and Glen Drive Road, died at 2:12 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in Sugar Creek Station, Franklin, where she had been a resident. Born April 28, 1911, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Clinefelter Wice. Mrs. Kiskadden was a member of the Maple Dale Free Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was married April 11, 1939, to Clarence Kiskadden, who died in 1964. Surviving are four children, Shirley Howe and husband, Gary, of Austin, Texas, Bert Kiskadden and wife, Jane, of Cooperstown, Mary Lou Wood of Bridgeville and Richard Kiskadden and wife, Marsha, of Franklin; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Nellie Tenney of Sandy Lake and Martha Jane Wolcott and husband, the Rev. Robert Wolcott of Tamaqua; a sister-in-law, Martha Wice of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry, Leonard, John D. and Evan Wice; and three sisters, Margaret and Irene Wice and Lavina Ross. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Phil Conklin officiating, assisted by the Rev.Robert Wolcott. Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sugar Creek Station, 351 Causeway Drive, Franklin, 16323.
