Schmader, Route 66, Lucinda Bob Siembida, 1220 Chestnut St., Franklin Shirley A. Boyer Sires, Country Estates, Bullion Luella Ruth Walker, South Daytona, Fla., formerly of Clarion County Sheba I. McCall Sheba I. McCall, 85, of 4397 Route 322, Knox, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2004, in Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville. Born Nov. 7, 1918, in Salem Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Basil G. and Pearl I. Lapsley White. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. McCall first worked at Quaker State Refinery in Emlenton and later worked at CPT in Franklin and Pullman Standard in Butler. In 1945, she joined the U.S. Navy and served as a seaman second class in the WAVES. Following her discharge, Mrs. McCall worked for 17 years at Owens-Illinois Glass in Clarion before leaving to care for her mother. She later retired from Knox Glass. Mrs. McCall was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ at Knox RD 2 and the Order of Eastern Star, Clarion Chapter 267. She enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and camping. On June 5, 1940, she married Dana B. McCall, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Dana Daryl McCall of Knox RD; a granddaughter, Jill R. Martin and husband, Scott, of Knox RD; a grandson, Luke A. Dunkle of Nickleville; a great-granddaughter, Britaney R. Dunkle; a great-grandson, Justin S. Martin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah S. Dunkle Schruers; a grandson, Paul F. Dunkle; a granddaughter, Lee Ann Dunkle; three brothers, Howard White, Basil White and David White; and a sister, Pearl Best. Th family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the David C. McEntire Funeral Home, 504 E. Penn St., Knox. Interment will follow in St. Paul Union Cemetery, Knox RD 2. Mitzi C. McMillen Mitzi C. McMillen, 49, of North Washington, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2004, in Butler Memorial Hospital after a four-year battle with breast cancer. Born May 7, 1955, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Albert Bruce and Blanche Louise Kroh Morrow. Mrs. McMillen was a 1973 graduate of Moniteau High School and also was a graduate of Butler Beauty School. She had owned and operated her own beauty shop and also was part owner for 13 years with her sister, Sally Weaver, in the Sally Weaver Beauty Shop in Franklin. Mrs. McMillen was a cafeteria monitor at Washington Elementary School in Moniteau School District. She was a very active member of the Flames & Flickers of North Washington, which participated in many local and area parades through the years. Mrs. McMillen was a member of North Washington Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a deacon. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the North Washington Fire Department. Mrs. McMillen was married July 4, 1979, to Craig R. McMillen, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Kelley McMillen, Kristin McMillen and Heather McMillen, all at home. She also is survived by three sisters, Janet Carlson and Donna K. Young, both of Hooker, and Mrs. Gary (Sally) Weaver of Greenville, S.C., formerly of Franklin; a brother, Arthur Morrow of West Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews. Schmader Edwin F. Schmader, 78, of Route 66, Lucinda, died Tuesday afternoon, July 20, 2004, in Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville. Born March 9, 1926, in Lucinda, he was the son of Sylvester and Lorene Gatesman Schmader of Lucinda. He attended St. Joseph School in Lucinda until 11th grade, when he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served from 1944 to 1946 in the 86th Division of the Army and served as a tank driver. Part of his deployment was in the Philippines. Mr. Schmader worked for 32 years at Owens-Brockway in Clarion, retiring in 1982 as a plant foreman. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and the church choir. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, The Men's Society, Lucinda Antler Club, the NBC Chorus in New Bethlehem and the American Legion. Mr. Schmader enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, pizza and being with his family. He was married by Msgr. William Holl in Lucinda May 5, 1951, to the former Joyce Lauer, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Deb Lauer and husband, Bernie, of Lucinda, Linda Gatesman of Lucinda, Pam Wolbert and husband, Marty, of Franklin and Polly Ochs of Shippenville; two sons, Edwin Schmader II of Shippenville and Doug Schmader and wife, Stephanie, of Coraopolis; 13 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He also is survived by three sisters, Viv Weiser and husband, Paul, of Lucinda, Jean Lutz and husband, Art, of Lucinda and Nancy Snyder of Marienville; one brother, Lawrence Schmader and wife, Evelyn, of Lucinda; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Schmader was preceded in death by three brothers, Rupert, Don and Ken Schmader; and a son-in-law, John Gatesman. Bob Siembida Bob Siembida, 70, a former employee of Franklin Hospital and a resident of 1220 Chestnut St., Franklin, died Saturday, July 17, 2004, in The Caring Place, Franklin. There will be no viewing. Shirley A. Boyer Sires Shirley A. Boyer Sires, 64, of Country Estates, Bullion, died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at her residence following an extended illness. Born May 17, 1940, in Clinton Township, Venango County, she was the daughter of Virgil "Bill" Boyer and Ruth Marie Cassedy Boyer. She attended Victory Joint High School in Irwin Township, which later became part of the Franklin Area School District. Mrs. Sires retired in 1999 from Polk Center, where she worked for 19 years in the laundry department. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church in Clintonville where she had been a deacon and also a member of the Builders Sunday School Class. Mrs. Sires was a former member of the Clintonville Women's Club. She was active in the Emlenton Rainbow For Girls where she was a past mother adviser. She loved being with her grandchildren, reading and gardening and also loved to cook and bake for her family. Mrs. Sires was married Oct. 8, 1982, to Merle Kenneth Sires, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael A. Guiste and wife, Billie M., of Emlenton, and Keith E. Guiste of Kennerdell; two daughters, Mrs. Michael W. (Anita S.) Matthews of Kennerdell and Mrs. Earl R. (Angela K.) Moore of Emlenton; 10 grandchildren, James Guiste, David Guiste and wife, Amber, Sam Guiste, Jared, Cody, Dakota, Jordan and Emily Matthews, and Christopher and Hillary Moore; and one great-grandchild, Dominique Guiste. She also is survived by two sisters, Carol Hutchison of Franklin and Mrs. Jack D. (Nancy L.) Graham of Kennerdell; and two brothers, Kenneth E. Boyer of Milton, Fla., and Thomas L. Boyer of Kennerdell. Mrs. Sires was preceded in death by her father on June 26, 1985; her mother, Sept. 14, 2003; an infant brother, Larry L.; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Matthews. Bissell Ave., Oil City, 16301. Luella Ruth Walker Luella Ruth Walker, 85, of South Daytona, Fla., formerly of Clarion County, died Friday, July 2, 2004, in South Daytona, Fla. Born March 16, 1919, in Clarion County, she was a daughter of Charles Hannold and Essie Clinger Hannold. Mrs. Walker worked as a waitress for 35 years. She moved from Baton Rouge, La., to Florida in 1958. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Surviving are two daughters, Louella Wolbert of South Daytona, Fla., and Beverly Conner of Oil City; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Survivors also include five sisters, Mary Hixon and Sally Raybuck of Brookville, Naomi Young and Wilma Smail of Corsica and Betty Walters of Clarion; and two brother, Charles Hannold of Nevada and Robert Hannold of Sigel. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by a son, Clayton Kroh; and a sister, Esther Smathers. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Clarion.
