Kutchravy, 1096 Old Petroleum Center Road, Titusville Barry Randall Lang, Murphysboro, Ill. Dr. Mary A. Weidle Lovoff and husband, Adolph "Ad" Lovoff, Westlake, Ohio Irene Margaret Pisor, formerly of Vowinckel Lewis E. "Sonny" Snyder, 5957 Route 8, Harrisville Hazel E. Wilson, Lamartine Ruth Grace Carson Ruth Grace Carson, 90, of Sharon, formerly of Brookfield, Ohio, and Hermitage, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Sharon Regional Hospital. Born Sept. 17, 1914, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Joseph and May Grace Kline. Mrs. Carson worked for 12 years as a coil winder at Westinghouse Electric and later in life, was self-employed as a seamstress. She was married March 5, 1951, to Earl James Carson, who died July 13, 1980. Surviving are a daughter, Grace Matsko of West Middlesex; two stepdaughters, Margaret Zahniser of Stoneboro and Bonnie Burkett of Franklin; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Joseph Kline of Rocky Grove; and three sisters, Marjorie Bickel and Lenora Thomas, both of Franklin, and Edith Kinney of Burleson, Texas. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by a brother, Austin Kline; a sister, Geraldine Haylett; two stepsons, James and Ronald Carson; and one stepdaughter, Carol Carson. There will be no calling hours. Private family services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Madasz Funeral Chapel in Brookfield, Ohio, with the Rev. Jerry Herron officiating. Interment will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a church of one's choice or to a charity of one's choice. Kay Kossman Cox Kay Kossman Cox, 100, of Ramsey, N.J., formerly of Clarion, a retired nurse, aunt of Phyllis Barrett and Judy Breene, both of Franklin, and George Kossman of Clarion, died Sunday, April 17, 2005. Michelle A. 'Herzi' Kerr Michelle A. "Herzi" Kerr, 38, of Evans City, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. Born April 2, 1967, in Washington, Pa., she was the daughter of Edward J. and Ingred Elba Kerr. She attended Trinity High School. Miss Kerr formerly worked at Traco Windows in Cranberry and was owner of the All American Girls Painting Co. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Washington, Pa. Miss Kerr loved her garden and flowers and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Surviving are her parents of Washington, Pa.; a sister, Judith M. Connor of Rimersburg; two brothers and their wives, Denver and Jennifer Kerr of Washington, Pa., and Will and Gina Kerr of Suffolk, Va.; six nephews, Donovan Stellavato, Joseph Connor, Alexander Connor, Zachary Kerr, Denver Kerr II and Patrick Kerr; three nephews, Danielle and Gabrielle Connor and MacKenzie Kerr; her godson, Logan Szczygiel; many aunts, uncles and cousins; many special friends in Evans City; and her dog. "Bella Donna." The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Varner Funeral Home of Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Deeter, pastor of the Wildcat Wesleyan Methodist Church near Rimersburg, officiating. Interment will follow in Lawsonham Cemetery near Rimersburg. Kutchravy, 64, of 1096 Old Petroleum Center Road, Titusville, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005. Born July 5, 1940, in Connellsville, he was the son of Joseph and Anna Thomas Kutchravy. Mr. Kutchravy was a 1958 graduate of Latrobe High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a message interceptor and decoder. He worked for 27 years in various positions at Pennzoil and retired as a supervisor. Mr. Kutchravy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren and extensive traveling. One of his most memorable highlights of traveling was having tea in Jordan with Queen Noor. On Feb. 22, 1974, he married the former LaDonna Irwin Bucholz, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Anna Kutchravy; two daughters, Anna Kutchravy Murphy and husband, Sean, and Amanda Andres and husband, Rob; three sons, Perry Bucholz, Patrick Bucholz and wife, Jackie, and Gerald Bucholz; and nine grandchildren. He also is survived by three brothers, Thomas Kutchravy, Richard Kutchravy and David Kutchravy; and four sisters, Patricia Fortunato, Joanne Lehman, Karen Hauptman and Deborah Allen. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mount Carmel Tabernacle in Dempseytown. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Glenn Walker officiating. Barry Randall Lang Barry Randall Lang, 47, of Murphysboro, Ill., died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, as a result of a boating accident on Kinkaid Lake in Myrphysboro. Born April 17, 1958, in Ann Arbor, Mich., he was the son of Richard Gene and Verna Bunker Lang Younkus. Mr. Lang served during peacetime in the U.S. Army. He was a diesel mechanic for Cox Trucking in Murphysboro. Mr. Lang was a member of the American Legion Post No. 127 in Murphysboro. He loved southern Illinois nature and was an avid boater and fisherman. Surviving are his son, Bryan Lang of Polk; his stepmother, Arline Lang of Oil City; one sister, Jennifer Lang of Benton, Ill., one brother, Rick Lang of Morgan City, La.; and one stepbrother, Tim Adams of Franklin. He also is survived by three cousins; his co-workers at Cox Trucking, who became his second family; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one stepbrother. Mr. Lang's body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Pettett Funeral Home, 1418 South St., Murphysboro, Ill. Dr. Mary A. Weidle Lovoff and Adolph "Ad Lovoff Dr. Mary A. Weidle Lovoff, 87, a former Oil City resident, and her husband, Adolph "Ad" Lovoff, 92, of Westlake, Ohio, died approximately 48 hours apart. Dr. Lovoff died at 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005, in Normandy Manor, Rocky River, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mr. Lovoff died at 7:25 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at their residence in Westlake, Ohio. Dr. Mary Weidle Lovoff Dr. Lovoff was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Oil City, the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth L. Stubler Weidle. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Oil City. In 1939, she graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and in 1940 she received a master's in hygiene and physical education from Wellesley College. She received her doctorate in medicine in 1950 from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. Dr. Lovoff completed her rotating internship in 1951 at St. Francis Hospital in Connecticut, and in 1953 she completed her residency in pediatrics from University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She entered into private practice in 1953 and retired in 1985. She first married Al D. Boehmer, who preceded her in death. In 1966, she married Adolph Lovoff, who preceded her in death April 16, 2005. Dr. Lovoff is survived by four sisters, Patricia Fesenmyer of Altemonte Springs, Fla., Sr. Mary Andrea, O.S.B, of Mount St. Benedict, Erie, Joan Mott and husband, Ed, of Indiana, Pa., and Margaret Matson of Oil City; a sister-in-law, Betty Weidle of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Weidle; and three brothers, Joseph, William and James Weidle. Adolph 'Ad' Lovoff Mr. Lovoff was born Oct. 19, 1912, in Malden, Mass., the son of John and Jennie Lovoff. He attended Lawrence Tech and received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Michigan. He did doctoral studies in physics at Cal Tech. Mr. Lovoff was a retired engineer in the nuclear physics area, having worked for NASA in Clevleland, Ohio, for many years. He is survived by two sisters, Vee McNeil of Arkansas and Anne Timmons of California; one niece, Dr. Danya Weinert of Solon, Ohio; and one nephew, Robert Lovoff of California. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lovoff was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Lovoff. The families of the couple will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, Oil City. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with Msgr. John W. Swoger, pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Oil City. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Improvement Fund. The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Irene Margaret Pisor Irene Margaret Pisor, 76, formerly of Vowinckel, sister of Mrs. Elmer (Geraldine) Claypoole of Petrolia, Floyd Pisor of Boyers and Richard Pisor of Knox, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, in Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville. Lewis E. "Sonny" Snyder Lewis E. "Sonny" Snyder, 78, who resided of 5957 State Route 8, Harrisville, Irwin Township, Venango County, for 28 years, died at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in United Community Hospital, Grove City, following a two-year illness. Born Nov. 21, 1926, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, he was the son of Carl H. and Mary M. Moon Snyder. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Snyder retired in 2003 after 19 years as a truck driver for Stoneboro Nursery. He formerly drove truck for Mercer Greenhouses, Shawgo Bros. Construction and Cooper Bessemer Co. He was a member of the Barkeyville United Methodist Church. Mr. Snyder was an avid woodworker and remodeler. He was married Dec. 31, 1977, to Marjorie M. Hale, who survives. Also surviving are seven children, Shirley Ebel and husband, William, Janet Boyd and Bill Snyder, all of Grove City, Joyce Swisher and husband, Rick, and Jeffrey McFeaters and companion, Cindy, all of Stoneboro, Scott Snyder and wife, Elizabeth, of Stockbridge, Mich., and Joseph McFeaters and companion, Alana, of Hermitage; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He also is survived by five sisters, Virginia Covert, Ella Critchlow, Lena Mae Walter and Betty Seelbaugh, all of Grove City, and Annabelle Pearson of Spearman, Texas; and his former wives, Helen Snyder of Grove City and Sally Snyder of West Middlesex. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter L. Snyder and Carl H. Snyder Jr.; and three sisters, Mary Lou McKibben, Rachel Kaltenbaugh and Goldie Winder. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City. Hazel E. Wilson Hazel E. Wilson, 89, of Lamartine, died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. Born March 16, 1916, in Wentlings Corners, she was the daughter of George and Cora Heeter Stover and was the last surviving members of her immediate family. Mrs. Wilson had worked in the cafeteria of the old Salem Elementary School. She was a member of the Bethany Crossroads Evangelical Congregational Church. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed playing cards, baking, reading and spending with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married in April 1940 to James S. Wilson, who died Sept. 26, 1980. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Hillard and husband, Dick, of Butler and Marilyn Painter of St. Petersburg; a son, Bill Wilson and wife, Jan, of Lamartine; five grandchildren, Scott Painter and wife, Robin, and Shawn Painter and wife, Lori, all of St. Petersburg, Daniel Hillard of Butler, Bill Wilson Jr. and wife, Deanna, of Chicago, Ill., and Mindy Gatesman and husband, Charley, of Lamartine; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah VanDyke, Bulah Flick, Izora Miller and Velma Bell; four brothers, Van Stover, Clarion Stover, John Stover and Orris "Bucky" Stover; and a great-granddaughter, Whitney Lynn Painter.
