The Derrick, April 23, 2005: Maxine Brown, Norristown Darrell J. Keihl, Karns City Mary Grace Radakar, Sligo Kathryn Truitt, Fairmount City Maxine Brown Maxine Brown, 80, of 1514 W. Marshall St., Norristown, died at 10:02 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2005, at Town Manor West Nursing Home. Born Nov. 11, 1924, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Joseph L. Young and Bessie Elizabeth Seely. Mrs. Young worked in the payroll department for CPT during World War II. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and was active in the church. She was a former member of the Franklin Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She was married Nov. 21, 1945, to Lewis H. Brown, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Curtis P. Brown and wife, Charlotte, of Columbus, Ohio, and Paula Lou Baker and husband, Ray, of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Corey Brown and wife, Heidi, of Columbus, Cara Brown of Columbus, Angela Mulvey and husband, James, of Schwenksville, and William Baker and wife, Lauri, of Mount Holly, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren, Josie, Raelie and Luke Mulvey of Schwenksville, Payton Baker of Mount Holly and Hannah Brown of Columbus. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle and Gerald Young; and two sisters, Irene Jeffers and Mabel Davis. There is no calling. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., Franklin, with the Rev. Charles Boston officiating. Interment will be in Peters Cemetery. Darrell J. Keihl Darrell J. Keihl, 86, of Karns City, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Born Jan. 21, 1919, in Pansy, he was the son of Farrel J. and Margaret F. Baughman Keihl. Mr. Keihl was a veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps (4th Raiders, 6th Division) in the Pacific Theater. He witnessed the signing of the peace treaty ending World War II. He was employed at L.A. Leathers Automobile Co. in Brookville; with Baughman Coal Co. in Brookville as superintendent; with S.B.P. Coal Co, Kittanning, as superintendent; and he retired from Sentry Oil and Grease Co. in Cabot. He was a member of the Chicora American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Stanton United Methodist Church of Brookville, John W. Jenks Lodge No. 534, F&AM, Punxsutawney; the Coudersport Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona He was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Keihl also repaired tractors and bought and restored Farmall and Cub tractors. He was married Aug. 31, 1946, to Louise H. Haight, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters and three sons, Sandra J. Snyder of Punxsutawney, Darrell J. Keihl II of Clarion, Randy Keihl of Brookville, Jack D. Keihl of Saxonburg and Kymen L. Keihl of Punxsutawney; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother, Bruce K. Keihl of Geneseo, N.Y.; a sister, Joann Dobson of Worthville; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kaye L., and a sister, Marjorie Barr. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and prior to Monday's services at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Ohl Cemetery, Beaver Township, Jefferson County. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mary Grace Radaker Mary Grace Radaker, 95, of Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sligo, died at 5 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2005. Born Aug. 5, 1909, in Licking Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Edward and Lidia Elizabeth Thomas Kilgore. Mrs. Radaker was a homemaker, and she also served with her husband as the ministers of the Church of God churches in Oil City, Rimersburg, Meadville, Callensburg and Greenville. She was a member of all those churches, and she last attended the Callensburg and Park Hill Churches of God. She was married Oct. 12, 1929, to the Rev. Ralph J. Radaker, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1991. Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Imogene and Paul McGuirk of Foxburg; two sons and their wives, Herbert and Donna Radaker of Callensburg, and Byron and Shirley Radaker of Palm Desert, Calif.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Radaker was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 13 children. She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Rachel, Lottie, Flora, Ethel, Reba, Margaret, Oma, Mildred, George, Merle, Lee and an infant brother. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Rapp, the Rev. Michael Kennedy and the Rev. Lonnie Wolford, all of the Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Callensburg Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to a Church of God of the donor's choice. Kathryn Truitt Kathryn Truitt, 84, of Fairmount City, died Friday evening, April 22, 2005, at UMPC Northwest, Seneca.
