Gingerich, 66, of 23 Center St., Sheffield, formerly of Guitonville, Forest County, died at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at her residence following a brief illness. Born Feb. 15, 1939, in Guitonville, she was the daughter of the late Mary Juletta Byers. Mrs. Gingerich had lived in Sheffield for the past 30 years. She had worked at Sheffield Container and was a waitress at Andrea's in Tiona, Hillside in Sheffield and Limber Lost on Route 6. Mrs. Gingerich was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Cleo Bargerstock Post No. 1424 in Marienville. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Forest Chapter No. 482. Mrs. Gingerich enjoyed quilting, sewing baby doll clothes and strawberry memorabilia. She was an avid reader. Her husband, James Gingerich, preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl L. Street of Camp Verde, Ariz.; a son, Carl J. Miller of Slocum, Ala.; and four grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Calvin Byers of Guitonville; and two sisters, Ruth Harp and Ethel Zimmerman, both of Marienville. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Donald Byers. At her request, there will be no services. Interment will be in Barnes Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Kane Hospice or Kane Community Health Care, Kane, 16735. The Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home, 203 W. Main St., Sheffield, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hinderliter worked as an optician at Wise Eye Optical in Clarion. She was the owner of the former Strattanville Restaurant and was the former owner/operator of the Shannon-Dell Restaurant in Shannondale. She also owned the former Shirley's Ceramics in Clarion. Mrs. Hinderliter was an avid crafts person. Her special interests were quilting, crocheting, woodwork and painting. She also enjoyed gardening and current events. She was married April 7, 1995, to Blake Irvin Hinderliter Jr., who survives. Also surviving are the following daughters: Cindy L. Shick and husband, Robert, of Suwanee, Ga., and their children, Bradley Shick of Cumming, Ga., and Carrie Shick of Tampa, Fla.; Lavay Hinderliter of New Bethlehem and her children, Jamie and Crysta Hinderliter; Deana Ritchey Wright and husband, Jack, of Ellwood City, and their children, Leighla, Lindsay and Heidi; and Jackie Orr and husband, Stacy, of Hawthorn and three children, Braxton, Brock and Melissa. "Red" McBride Jr., 80, of Clintonville, died at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. Born July 28, 1924, in Irwin Township, Venango County, he was the son of Nelson R. and Lucille R. Buckley McBride. Mr. McBride was a graduate of Wesley High School in Wesley. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. Mr. McBride retired in 1988 as general foreman from Cooper Energies, Grove City, after 47 years of service. He also had worked in the shakeout department as a foreman before being promoted. After his retirement, he continued to work for six years as a consultant for Cooper Energies. He was a Clinton Township supervisor for a number of years after his retirement and also had been the road supervisor of the township. Mr. McBride attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Clintonville and also attended the Church of God in Nectarine. He was a member of Grove City Lodge No. 603, F. & A. M., the Oil City Lodge of Perfection and the New Castle Consistory. Mr. McBride enjoyed hunting, golfing and vacationing at Treasure Lake. He was married Jan. 22, 1945, to Mary Fawn Cannon, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sue L. Stemmerich and husband, Billy J., of Clintonville, Carol A. Peters and husband, T. Michael, of Mayport and Linda K. Sperb and companion, Steven, of Beaverton, Ore.; a grandson, Rian J. Blair, and a great-granddaughter, Emma L. Blair, both of Portland, Ore. He also is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Richard E. (Esther A.)
