Andres, 93, of 976 Halyday Run Road, Oil City, died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca following an extended illness. Born Oct. 30, 1911, in Chicago, he was the son of the late Anthony A. and Maria Schiffer Andres. He attended the Assumption BVM grade school and was a 1931 graduate of Oil City Senior High School. He also attended the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Andres studied violin with William Lantz and Major Olmes. He was in several musical groups under the direction of Harland Mitchell, Phil Runzo and Rex Mitchell. Mr. Andres was part owner and operator of Andres Bakery until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the St. Stephen Church choir for many years, the Venango Chorus and the Venango Chamber Orchestra. He was the choir director for many years at St. Stephen and Oakland United Methodist churches. Mr. Andres was a 4th Degree member of the Oil City Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Oil City Kiwanis Club and Polish National Alliance. He was the music leader for Kiwanis Club lunch meetings for many years. He was married June 23, 1935, at Assumption BVM by the late Rev. John Mieczkowski to the former Anella "Ann" Bogan of Youngstown, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Patrick J. Andres and his wife, Katherine, of Seneca, and Marianne Andres of North Carolina; a grandson, Tony Andres of Seneca; a great-granddaughter, Cara Andres of Seneca; two brothers, Henry Andres of Oil City and Sigismund Andres of North Carolina; a family friend, Erwin Lowenstein of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Andres was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Andres. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Viewing hours will also be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday in St. Stephen Church, Oil City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Church. Entombment will follow in the Bishop McManaman Memorial Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango or Crawford counties. The Oil City Knights of Columbus will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Reinsel Funeral Home for a 6:45 p.m. memorial service for their departed brother, John Andres. James L. Brown James L. Brown, 67, of 38 Market St., Sandy Lake, died at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the Butler VA Hospital following an extended illness. Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Coraopolis, he was the son of the late George B. and Mary R. Hlista Brown. He was a 1955 graduate of Lakeview High School. At the time of his death, he was involved with the planning of the 50-year reunion for his class. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He attended drafting school and had worked for the Mercer County office of PennDOT. He went on to work in the engineering department for PennDOT and retired from the Franklin district office. Mr. Brown also had taught drafting at the Crawford County Vocational Technical School and was employed with Woodring Security Service for several years. Following his retirement, Mr. Brown opened and operated a real estate business with his wife in Sandy Lake. He also subcontracted with Data Comp Appraisal Service and owned and operated Your New Homestead Log Home. Mr. Brown had a passion for all sports and was a former member of the Lakeview Admirals Booster Club. He had served as an umpire for high school baseball and had been a Little League coach. He was also an avid fan of the Lakeview girls basketball program, He was a life member of the Sandy Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company and had served as a past president. He was the captain of the fire police and was a life member of the Mercer County Fire Police Association. Mr. Brown was also actively involved in the community, and he was a member of the Sandy Lake Sesquicentennial Committee. Mr. Brown was a member of Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church, where he had served as an usher. He was a Cub Scout leader for Lakeview Pack 89 and was president of the Zion Cemetery Association. Mr. Brown is remembered by his family for his optimistic attitude and his zest for life. He was married Dec. 26, 1959, to the former Louise Perrine, and she survives. In addition to his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a son, Daniel J. Brown and his wife, Debbie, of Sandy Lake; a daughter, Mary Lou Wagner and her husband, Edward, of Owasso, Okla.; a brother, Earl Thomas Brown of Superior, Wis.; and four grandchildren, Jimmy and Trista Brown of Sandy Lake and Lyndsay and Jordan Wagner of Owasso. Coon Jr., 21, of 5 Hickory St., Oil City, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at his residence. Born Feb. 14, 1984, in Oil City, he was the son of Debra Beach and John T. Coon Sr. Mr. Coon was employed as a telephone operator at Reese Brothers. He enjoyed basketball and was a member of the Oil City YMCA. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Daniel E. Fischer of Oil City; a sister, Sherri Lynn Beach of Oil City; his maternal grandparents, Edith and William S. Beach Sr. of Oil City; a niece, Heather Lynn Beach of Oil City; and two uncles, William S. Beach Jr. of Canfield, Ohio, and Jeffrey L. Beach of Erie. Hamilton, 64, of 376 Old Route 8, Grove City, died at 1:09 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005, at United Community Hospital, Grove City. Born July 25, 1940, in Mineral Township, Venango County, she was the daughter of Kenneth A. "Dude" and Vesta L. Wolfe McKinley. Mrs. Hamilton attended Slippery Rock High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Barkeyville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, fishing and camping. Mrs. Hamilton was married June 6, 1956, to James S. Hamilton, who survives. She is also survived by four children, Kathleen Sue Postlewaite and her husband, John, of Pemberville, Ohio, Karen Trepasso and her husband, Michael, of Grove City, Mary Kaye Cunningham and her husband, Kevin, of Grove City, and Randy J. Hamilton and his wife, Roshelle, of Harrisville; seven grandchildren, Terry Shaner Jr., Seth Shaner, Daniel and Andy Hamilton, Michael and Amber Trepasso and Ashley Cunningham; and a great-grandson, Logan Shaner. Also surviving are two sisters, Donna Dulaney and her husband, Francis, and Romona Metheny, all of Grove City; and a brother, Delbert McKinley. Irma Ann Hasbrouck Irma Ann Hasbrouck, 66, of 22670 Phillips Drive, Pleasantville, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Titusville Area Hospital. Born Jan. 15, 1939, in Titusville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alwilda Rice Sharp. Mrs. Hasbrouck was a 1956 graduate of Townville High School. She had been self-employed as a tax accountant. Mrs. Hasbrouck was a member of Titusville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed her pets and playing the piano. She was married Nov. 27, 1957, at Parks Corners, N.Y., to Gerald W. Hasbrouck, who survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hasbrouck is survived by three children, Debra Leigh Williams and her husband, James, of Houston, Texas, Kevin DeWayne Hasbrouck and his girlfriend, Debra Sampson, of Centerville, and Stace Harvey and her husband, Mike, of Pleasantville; and seven grandchildren, Laraine Lee Donovan, Chad Wayne Williams, Clayton James Williams, Miranda Jo Hasbrouck, Cody Allen Hunter, Parker Wayne Harvey and Cole Michael Harvey. Also surviving are two brothers, Roderick "Dick" Sharp and his wife, Ellen, of Trinidad, Texas, and Harry I. "Bud" Sharp, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Marco Island, Fla.; a sister, Margie May Hummer and her husband, Basil, of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Neidich of 728 Wilson Ave., Franklin, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005, at The Caring Place. Mrs. Neidich was born in Sandycreek Township, the daughter of Leroy Martin and Maude Elnora DeLong Beach. She worked as a binder at General Manifold. She also worked in the cafeteria at Rocky Grove High School. Mrs. Neidich was a member of the Friendship Class, Keenagers Group and United Methodist Missionary Women at Grace United Methodist Church. She was a Cub Scout den leader in Rocky Grove. She was married Sept. 3, 1946, to Harold Z. Neidich, and he survives. Also surviving are a son, Ross Zeigler Neidich and his wife, Patricia, of Bradford; three grandchildren, Lindsay Ann and Katie Jo Neidich, both of Bradford, and Michael Edward and his wife, Jeannie, of Atlanta; and one great-grandchild, Alexandra Edwards of Atlanta. Mrs. Neidich was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Chester, Richard, Orville and Russell Beach; and a sister, Lola Sutherland. Rex, 59, of Shippenville, died Friday afternoon, April 8, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare- Shippenville. Born Sept. 29, 1945, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Wesley and Helen Kurscis Rex. Mr. Rex was a 1963 graduate of Keystone High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Rex held many jobs with the title of supervisor, most of them with the former Glacial Minerals of Strattanville and most recently with I.A. Construction of Franklin. He also had his own business, Tri-R Tire of Shippenville. Mr. Rex enjoyed NASCAR racing, bowling and doing crossword puzzles. He was married Oct. 5, 1968, in Elizabeth City, N.C., to the former Brenda Sue Minor, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Donella Rex Herring of Point Mugu, Calif., and Tricia Rex Brickey of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; one son, George Wesley Rex of Concord, N.C.; two sisters, Marilyn Barton of Shippenville and Gayle Ganoe of Clarion; a brother, Dale Rex of Vancouver, Wash.; and three grandchildren, Nicholas Herring of Point Mugu and McKenzie and Tyler Brickey of Sherrills Ford. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert "Dub" Rex. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Robert V.
