Bish, 83, of Distant, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, following a short illness. Edwards, 83, of Trinity Living Center, Grove City, died of natural causes at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, in the Grove City facility. Born Aug. 12, 1921, in Parker, she was the daughter of Thomas and Catherine Dunlap Jackson. For a period of time, Mrs. Edwards had been employed by the former W.A. Moyer & Sons Level Vial Works of Parker. In early years, she was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Parker. She then was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Slippery Rock where she was an active member of the Christian Mothers. While in Grove City, she was affiliated with the Church of the Beloved Disciple Catholic Church. Mrs. Edwards was married Jan. 15, 1949, to Timothy J. Edwards, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mary Catherine McAllister of Pittsburgh; four sons, Timothy Paul Edwards of Greenville, Patrick Thomas Edwards of Mechanicsburg, Leo Joseph Edwards of Alexandria, Va., and John Girard Edwards of Stillwell, Kan.; and six grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Stella Ford of Parker; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by one brother, Albert "Skip" Jackson; and three sisters, Margaret, Ellen and Catherine Jackson. Alberta Larson Alberta Larson, 83, of Strattanville, Rehobeth Church Road, Clarion, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. Born Sept. 15, 1921, in Piney Township, Clarion County, she wss the daughter of James Burton and Nellie Morrison Campbell. She was a 1940 graduate of Clarion High School. Mrs. Larson was a member of the Strattanville American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 249, and attended the Church of the Nazarene. She was married Feb. 2, 1945, to Fredrick E. Larson, who died July 23, 1986. Surviving are one daughter, Louella J. Nichols and husband, Joe, of Olive Branch, Miss.; three sons, Fredrick A. Larson and wife, Frances "Bert," of Fairmount City, Robert L. Larson and wife, Andrea, of Clarion and William R. Larson and wife, Debra, of Corsica; one daughter-in-law, Nickie L. Larson of Strattanville; and 14 grandchildren, Paula Cockerham, Michelle Larson, Stefanie Schimp, Joy Bolten, Samantha Chandler, Robert F. Larson, Stacey Miller, Brad, Greg, Davey, Scott and Karyn Larson, Steven and Joseph Larson; and six great-grandchildren, Michael Cockerham, Trent Nichols, Damien Gritton, Abby and Isabella Schimp and Ian Larson. She also is survived by one sister, LaVerna Madgewick Deemer of McMinnville, Tenn.; and two brothers, Everett Campbell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Willis Campbell of Olathe, Kan. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Larson was preceded in death one son, James F. Larson in 2000; and one brother, Harold Campbell. Peeples, 67, of 22653 Titusville Road, Pleasantville, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2005, at his residence. Born May 22, 1937, in Titusville, he was the son of the late William E. Peeples and Katherine Estherbelle Kifer Peeples Molli. He was a 1955 graduate of Titusville High School and attended Penn State University. Mr. Peeples had been employed as an engineer at the former Struthers Wells Corp. and also at National Forge in Irvine. He last was employed by Webco in Oil City until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church where he was active in Bible study. He also served as elder and trustee of the church, was a member of the church choir and had occasionally taught Sunday School. Mr. Peeples was a member and past president of the Pleasantville Lions Club through which he received the Meritorious Support Award at the state level. He was a former member of the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Peeples volunteered his help and time for many community needs. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren along with hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Mr. Peeples was married in Pleasantville Aug. 11, 1962, to Sonja J. Confer, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kim Preston and her husband, Adam, of Pleasantville; and two grandchildren, Abby Mae and Bryce William Preston. He also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Saundra Butcher and husband, Gayle, of Lewistown; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Judi Mangel of Union City and Mrs. Elizabeth Bauer of Warren; three nephews, Bradley Butcher of Austin, Texas, Peter Butcher of Pittsburgh and Kevin Bauer of Cleveland, Ohio; and a niece, Robin Mangel of Erie. Agnes Thrush, 89, a resident of Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, formerly of Rebecca Street, Brookville, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, in Brookville Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1916, in Eldred Township, Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Joel and Mary Rebecca Weirich Lindsey. Mrs. Thrush was a member of Port Barnett United Methodist Church in Brookville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Thrush was married to Wilbur Dale Thrush, who died Aug. 10, 1988. Surviving are one son, William Dale Thrush and wife, Diane, of Brookville; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also is survived by two sisters, Louise Brossman of Easton and Mary Matson of Fisher. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Thrush was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell Lindsey, LeRoy Lindsey, William Lindsey and Clyde Lindsey; and three sisters, Clara Dural, Leona Carson and Virginia Bruner. A complete obituary will be published Friday in The Derrick. Edgar L. Ziegler Edgar L. Ziegler, 78, of Cranberry, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Dec. 22, 1926, in Van, he was the son of Lloyd and Ruth Willings Ziegler. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. army. Mr. Ziegler had worked for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. After his retirement, he worked for OMG Americas. He enjoyed working his oil lease which he owned for more than 40 years. Mr. Ziegler was a member of the Nickleville Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and hunting. Mr. Ziegler was married Nov. 27, 1946, to the former Caryl McFeeters of Nickleville and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jane Harmon and husband, Trent, of Cranberry; a son-in-law, Rick Harry of Clarion; seven grandchildren, Shawn Harmon, Ryan Harmon and wife, Michelle, Jaynelle Harmon and Braden Harmon, all of Cranberry, Richard Harry and wife, Tara, and Lance Harry and wife, Tara, all of Greensburg, and Amanda Corrigan and husband, Justin, of Cooperas Cove, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Norman Ziegler and wife, Ann, and Fred Ziegler and wife, Judy, all of Oil City; a sister, Neva Rossman and husband, Don, of Knox; and two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Ziegler of Seneca and Amy Ziegler of Oil City. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ziegler was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Harry; a granddaughter, Nicole Harry; and two brothers, Howard Ziegler and Myron Ziegler.
