Hamler, Utica Jacob Lee Heath, Oil City Barbara Jean Slaugenhaupt Henninger, Kossuth native Jennie Kapity, Brookville Robert L. Sarvey, Summerville Richard D. Erwin Richard D. Erwin, 76, of 2192 Old State Road, Venus, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at his residence. Born Sept. 18, 1928, in Oil City, he was the son of John A. and Elsie Lewis Erwin. Mr. Erwin worked for J&L Steel and then Webco, retiring in 1985. He was a Cranberry Mall walker. Surviving is a special friend and caregiver, Sonya McCreary. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Heald. There will be no visitation. A committal service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery. The Morrison Funeral Home, 110 Petroleum St., Oil City, is in charge of arrangements. Dolores C. Fague Dolores C. Fague, 76, of 23 Kahle Road, Curllsville, died at 6 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, in the Clarion Hospital. Born Feb. 3, 1929, in Beaver Meadows, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Hill Houser. Mrs. Fague was a homemaker. She was a member of Curllsville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Fague was married in October 1961 in Beaver Meadows to Harry N. Fague, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and her husband, Wendy and Dean McKay of Rimersburg; two sons, Duane G. Fague of Clarion and Derek Fague and his wife, Jennifer, of Venus; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Fague is also survived by a brother, Bruce Houser of Hazelton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fague was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary, Charles and Wayne Houser. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Belloit, pastor of Curllsville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarview Memorial Park near Strattanville. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Rimersburg Hose Company. Luella M. Hamler Luella M. Hamler, 77, of 991 Beatty Run Road, Utica (Hannaville), died unexpectedly at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2005, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born Oct. 12, 1927, in Rocky Grove, she was the daughter of Herbert L. and Cora Kilgore Burdette. She was a 1945 graduate of the former Sandy Lake High School. Mrs. Hamler was a homemaker and enjoyed being near her pets. An avid reader, she also enjoyed dancing, crocheting, tri-chem painting and flowers. Her first husband, William Palmer, preceded her in death. She was then married in November 1966 to Milton H. Hamler, and he preceded her in death in December 1981. She is survived by five daughters, Kate Evans of Oil City, Tina Stormer and her husband, Ronald, of Mercer, Marcy Bush of Lexington, N.C., Hilda Claypool and her husband, David, of Hannaville, and Charlotte McClellan and her husband, Jerry, of Oil City; two sons, Wally Palmer of Little Rock, Ark., and William Palmer and his wife, Kim, of Eau Claire; and two brothers, William Burdett and his wife, Shirley, and Charles "Lloyd" Burdette and his wife, Gerry, all of Stoneboro. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Joretta, Crystal and James Palmer, Missy Foster, Ronald Stormer Jr. and Daniel Stormer, Diana Bowling, Shane Wolbert, Ryan and Samantha Hamler and Alex McClellan; four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Devin Foster, Nickolas Powell and Kaleb Price; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Mrs. Hamler was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Palmer and an infant; two sons, Walter and Donald Palmer; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Weaver. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Scott A. Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. James G. Young, pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township. Jacob Lee Heath Jacob Lee Heath, 14, of Oil City, died Saturday, May 7, 2005. Born Oct. 21, 1990, in Oil City, he was a son of Barbara Neidich-Rankin and the late John Wesley Heath. Jacob was a seventh grader at the Oil City Middle School. He enjoyed roller-skating, bicycling, basketball, fishing, going to Y dances and spending time with his friends. Jacob is survived by his mother, Barbara A. Rankin of Oil City; two sisters, Nicole Heath of Texas and Rachel Heath of Oil City; three brothers, Joshua Heath of Corry and Matthew and Shane Heath of Rocky Grove; his maternal grandparents, Carolyn and Thomas Bills of Oil City; his maternal aunt, Julie Neidich of Oil City; paternal grandfather, John E. Heath of Oil City; paternal uncle, Rick Heath of Corry; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins from surrounding areas. In addition to his father, Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Buzz Neidich; and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Foster. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Temple in Oil City with the Rev. Rudy Wimer, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the church. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Barbara Jean Slaugenhaupt Henninger Barbara Jean Slaugenhaupt Henninger, 43, of McKean, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Born July 18, 1961, in Corning, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Slaugenhaupt Sr. and Frances A. Walney Slaugenhaupt of Kossuth. She had resided in the Erie area for the past five years, moving there from Corry. Ms. Henninger was a 1979 graduate of Sheffield High School. She is survived by her natural mother, Bette A. Baker of Weedville; twin children, Lacie L. and Tobin M.R. Henninger, both of McKean; a stepdaughter, Julie R. Henninger Alicea and her husband, Rafael, of Edinboro; maternal grandmother, Luella Baker of New Berlin, N.Y.; two sisters, Sheila Cross and her husband, David, of Harrisville, and Rhonda Taylor and her husband, Joseph, of Bradford; and three brothers, Robert E. Slaugenhaupt Jr. of Knox, Leon Edward Slaugenhaupt of Strattanville and David C. Paulson of Weedville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Cynthia M. and Rachel L. Alicea; a companion, Paul Szymanowski of McKean; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Holly Henninger. Condolences may be sent to www.icgerie.com. Jennie Kapity Jennie Kapity, 95, of Jefferson Manor, Brookville, formerly of 571 Reynolds Ave., Akron, Ohio, died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005. Among her survivors are a son, Charles J. Kapity and his wife, Marian, of Fisher. Robert L. Sarvey Robert L. Sarvey, 55, of Summerville, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Jefferson Manor after an extended illness. Born July 16, 1949, in Brookville, he was the son of Guy L. and Dorothy Sarvey and the late Susan Perry. He attended Brookville schools and served in the Marine Corps. Mr. Sarvey was retired/disabled from the Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Co. in Indiana since 1983. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the NRA. Prior to his declining health, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In the last few years he enjoyed his family and many friends, especially the guys he had afternoon coffee with at the truck stop. Mr. Sarvey was married Aug. 23, 1969, to Wanda J. Aikins at the Pleasant Hill Bible Church, Summerville, by the late Rev. Rudolph Panciera. In addition to his wife, father and stepmother, he is survived by two sons, Robert Sarvey Jr. and Brian L. Sarvey and his wife, Tammy, all of Summerville; his mother-in-law, Mildred J. Aikins of Summerville; his grandmother, Mabel Sarvey of Brookville; two brothers, Drew Sarvey of Punxsutawney and Jack Sarvey and his wife, Mary, of Brookville; a sister, Becky Holland and her husband, John, of Summerville; and brother-in-laws Ed Aikins and his wife, Dianne, of Lebanon and Larry Aikins and his wife, Pam, of Kingsville. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Anthony and Thomas Sarvey of Clarion and Brianna and Christian Sarvey of Summerville; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Sayers and Samantha Faudi of DuBois; and many aunts, uncles and beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; his father-in-law, Lawrence Aikins; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville. There will be no funeral services. The family suggests memorials be made to Jefferson Manor in Brookville or the Parkinson Disease Association.
