    3. The Derrick, May 3, 2005: Eleanor I. Hartman, Route 208, Shippenville Ernest Robert Lampert, Grandview Road, Oil City Eleanor I. Hartman Eleanor I. Hartman, 80, of Route 208, Shippenville, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, in Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville, where she had resided since 1999. Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Knighttown, she was the daughter of Thomas and Donna Beane Knight. She was a graduate of Shippenville High School. Mrs. Hartman had worked at Gallagher's Pharmacy and Rea & Derrick Pharmacy in Clarion and later retired from IU 6 in Clarion. She was a member of the Shippenville United Methodist Church where she was active with the choir, Vacation Bible School and the WSCS. Mrs. Hartman was a member of the Keystone High School Music Association, the Knox Community Choir and the Shippenville Civic Club. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and was a judge of elections for Elk Township for several years. She received a certificate for 50 consecutive years of voting. Mrs. Hartman enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, quilting, fishing trips to Canada and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married June 12, 1942, to Donald E. Hartman, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Joyce Hummel and husband, Lavier, of Sligo and Beverly Gatesman of Knox; two sons, Martin Hartman and wife, Darlene, of Shippenville RD and John Hartman of Shippenville; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Jean Bickel of Cranberry; a brother, Dwight Knight of Shippenville RD; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by a son, Donald R. "Donnie" Hartman; a grandson, Allan Galbraith; a great-granddaughter, Lydia Janecek; two sisters, June Knight and Evelyn Wood; and a brother, Dean Knight. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the David C. McEntire Funeral Home, 504 E. Penn St., Knox, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Shippenville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with the Rev. Tim Bowser, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Knight Family Cemetery at Shippenville RD. The family suggests memorials be made to the Shippenville United Methodist Church, Shippenville, 16254. Ernest Robert Lampert Ernest Robert Lampert, 79, of Grandview Road, Oil City, formerly of Louisa, Ky., died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Oct. 13, 1925, in Wisconsin, he was the son of Robert and Erma Gabriel Lampert. Mr. Lampert served in the U.S. Army during World War II, hauling fuel in Germany. He was a truck driver for Sunoco. Mr. Lampert was an avid reader. He was married to Della Dalton, who died in May 1991. Surviving are a son and his wife, Jack R. and Cathy Lampert of Oil City; three grandchildren, William R. Lampert and wife, Christy, of Catlettsburg, Ky., Jackie M. Williams and husband, Scott, of Louisa, Ky., and Rayleen Lampert of Franklin; and three great-grandchildren, William Lampert and Ethan Williams of Kentucky and Cassidy Lampert of North Carolina. He also is survived by two brothers, Raymond Lampert and Jimmy Lampert, both of Marshfield, Mo.; and his friend and caregiver, Cindy Whitmer and family of Oil City, with whom he resided. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Lampert was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Stanley; and a grandson, Jack R. Lampert II. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday in the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald Bole officiating. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
