"Dolly" Gifford, Riverside Drive, Oil City Barbara Ann Heiniger, Conneaut Lake, formerly of Seneca Elizabeth Perry, memorial set Kristen Brooke Bondra Kirsten Brooke Bondra, 25, died at 10:25 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005, in the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 13, 1980, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Linda L. Bondra of Oil City and Dr. Kenneth J. Bondra of Lexington, Ky. Besides her parents, she is survived by her 4-year-old daughter, Destiny Rayne, of Oil City; a sister, Heather Bondra of New York City; maternal grandmother, Ethel Picone of Arnold; uncles and aunts, Charles and Janet Picone of Gibsonia and Mark and Cyndy Bondra of New Kensington; numerous extended family members including aunts, uncles and cousins. She also was the granddaughter of the late Charles Picone and John and Helen Bondra. Local residents involved in Kirsten's life were Dr. Michael and Marge Hajduk, her godparents; and her "special family," Dr. David, Dawn, Brian, Jonathan and Sarah Kerna. Ms. Bondra was a graduate of Oil City High School and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and continued her love for the arts and writing, especially poetry writing. Her organs were donated to CORE to enable others to live. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Giunta Funeral Home, 1506 Fifth Ave., Arnold, with viewing held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. A service will be held at 1 p.m. today in the funeral home, with burial in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Lower Burrell. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 3, in the Morrison Funeral Home, Petroleum Street, Oil City. Laura A. Cramer Laura A. Cramer, 90, formerly of 1117 Buffalo St., Franklin, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, May 29, 2005, in The Caring Place, Franklin. Born Nov. 6, 1914, in Oil City, she was the daughter of James H. and Henrietta Wiles Vann Ausdall. Mrs. Cramer was an inspector for CPT during World War II. She was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, Franklin. Mrs. Cramer was married Sept. 30, 1947, to Clair C. Cramer, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a stepson, Francis Clair Cramer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two grandchildren; a brother, Joseph S. Vann Ausdall of Bastrop, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cramer was preceded in death by a son, Theodore Ruby; four sisters, her twin, Loretta Orsino, Katherine Gustafson, Patricia Lang and Barbara McFadden; and three brothers, John, James and Francis Vann Ausdall. Crick, 79, of Brady View Manor, East Brady, formerly of Lawsonham Road, Rimersburg, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a series of complications after a fall in March. Born Sept. 1, 1925, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of Kenneth Bethel and Margaret Maude Stephens Hosey. She was a 1945 graduate of Rimersburg High School. Mrs. Crick had been employed at Glass Containers in Clarion, Ross McCall Farm in Sligo and as a cook at the Grandview Nursing Home in Clarion. She was a member of the Rimersburg Presbyterian Church and was a member of the former Rebekah Lodge in Tidal. Mrs. Crick was married in Smock June 1, 1946, to Clifford LeRoy Crick, who survives,. Also surviving are a daughter, Carol L. Cross of Rimersburg; two grandsons and their wives, Steven G. and Ana Cross of Rye, N.Y., and Christopher M. and Barbara Cross of Xenia, Ohio; and two great-grandsons, Mason and Colby Cross of Xenia, Ohio. He also is survived by a brother, William Hosey and wife, Sally, of Corsica; four sisters, Betty Lerschen of Florida, Norma Jean "Toni" Joseph and husband, Dave, of Youngstown, Ohio, Sue Myers of Sligo and Ann Glenn and husband, William, of Rimersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crick was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Cecil and Jimmy Hosey; and two sisters, Thelma Bray and Peggy Lou Warner. Dickson, 76, of Reed Street, Oil City, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at his residence following a short illness. Born June 16, 1928, in his grandparents' boarding house at 200 Main St., Oil City, he was the son of Sigbert W. and Marian Groves Dickson. He was a 1946 graduate of Franklin High School. Mr. Dickson enlisted in the United States Army and served in Occupied Japan as a radio operator following World War II. He graduated in 1951 from Indiana State Teachers College where he was captain of the golf team and a proud member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity which he still supported. Mr. Dickson worked as an accountant at May & Co. in Oil City prior to 1955 when he opened Olmes & Dickson, Certified Public Accountants in Oil City with his partner, Edward Olmes. Later Olmes & Dickson opened an additional office in Titusville. Mr. Dickson just completed his 53rd year as a CPA. During his tenure as a CPA, Mr. Dickson served on numerous boards of directors and his wise, honest and loyal counsel was appreciated by many. Mr. Dickson was a trusted accountant and financial advisor to many prominent individuals and businesses in the tri-city area. Mr. Dickson was a career-long member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church where he was a past senior warden. Mr. Dickson was a past president of Wanango Country Club and was a champion golfer in the area in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Since 1965, he had been a member of the New Bethlehem Rod & Gun Club. He ran the timing system at Saturday YMCA swim meets and served as chairman of the YMCA Thanksgiving swim meet for several years during the 1970s. Mr. Dickson particularly enjoyed fishing and boating, especially on vacations with his wife, children and grandchildren in Canada. He was married April 19, 1953, to the former Shirley Hildebrand, who survives, along with his mother, Marian G. Dickson of Franklin. Also surviving are a daughter, Mary D. Waggoner and husband, Michael, of Butler; two sons, William R. Dickson and wife, Jennifer, of Ben Avon Heights and Samuel R. Dickson and wife, Kimberly, of Hydetown; three grandchildren, Kelly and Samuel Dickson of Ben Avon Heights and Ruby Waggoner of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fitzgerald of 209 Beechwood Drive, Oil City, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Torino, Italy, she lived most of her life in Oil City. Surviving are her husband, Reed T. Fitzgerald; two daughters; four grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Dolly" Gifford Dora B. "Dolly" Gifford, 86, of Riverside Drive, Oil City, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca, following a brief illness. She had been a resident at the Oil City Presbyterian Home since November 2004. Born Nov. 11, 1918, in Oil City, she was the daughter of William F. and Dora Snyder Acklin. Mrs. Gifford was proud of the fact that she was named Oil City's Armistice Day Baby in 1918. Mrs. Gifford was of the Protestant faith. In her earlier years, she was employed as a sales clerk with a variety of Oil City businesses including Kresge's, Welker & Maxwell's and Grady's Bakery. Mrs. Gifford enjoyed working outside in her yard and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was married in Oil City Dec. 13, 1937, to Sherwood E. Gifford Sr., who preceded her in death in 1966. Surviving are three daughters, Dixie L. Flinchbaugh and husband, Harold, of Oil City, Delores J. Koons and husband Kenneth, of Winchester, Va., and H. Jan Mooney and husband, Bob, of Oil City; seven grandchildren, Pamela Evans-Waters of Oil City, Scott Flinchbaugh of Pittsburgh, William Koons and wife, Kim, of Winchester, Va., Jodi Mooney of Reno, Jeffrey Mooney and his fiancé, Courtney, Jason Mooney and wife, Audrey, and Julie Mooney, all of Reading; four stepgrandchildren, John Gifford of Gainesville, Fla., Debbie Baker Sanford of Franklin, Diane Baker Matthew of Hamburg and Darlene Baker of Franklin; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gifford also is survived by a very dear friend and sister-in-law, Anna Marie Acklin of Oil City. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Gifford was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Donald (Nancy) Baker, and a stepson, Sherwood Gifford Jr.; and the following brothers and sisters: Wayne Acklin, William Acklin, Mrs. Clyde (Thelma) Dick, Mrs. Joseph (Eva) Graham, Mrs. Carl (Lillian) Shelberg, Mrs. Arthur (Audrey) Wert, Sherwood Acklin, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Wiles, Mrs. Elwin (Dorothy) Winschel, Fonda Acklin and Robert Acklin. Mrs. Gifford was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Barbara Ann Heiniger Barbara Ann Heiniger, 75, a resident of 10196 Penn Lake Village, Conneaut Lake, for the past 10 months, formerly of Seneca, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, after an illness of several months. Prior to moving to Conneaut Lake, she made her home in Seneca and in Mosiertown, Crawford County. Born April 26, 1930, in Eldora, Iowa, she was the daughter of Burt and Ella Smith Goodell. She was a 1956 graduate of Moody Bible Institute with a Christian education degree. Mrs. Heiniger married her husband, Paul Allen Heiniger, June 16, 1956, and he survives. They met while she was a student at Moody and used her training in Christian Education in conjunction with her husband's ministry as a pastor. Together, they served a number of churches including more recently Carmel Baptist Church in Mosiertown for five years and Grace Baptist Church in Seneca for two years up to the present. Mrs. Heiniger also worked for the past five years as a greeter at the Meadville WalMart Store. She was an avid reader and her faith and family were foremost in her life. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Rebecca Sue Heiniger of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Paul Alan Heiniger and wife, Christine, of Wurtzburg, Germany, who have three daughters and a granddaughter, and the Rev. Peter Allen Heiniger and his wife, Shara, who have five daughters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
