The Derrick, May 4, 2005: Timothy F. Hinds, North East, formerly of Oil City Floyd Andrew Orr, Dayton, Tenn., formerly of Van Betty Sedwick, Parker Timothy F. Hinds Timothy F. Hinds, 56, of Williams Road, North East, formerly of Oil City, died Monday, May 2, 2005, in Hamot Medical Center, Erie. Born Nov. 24, 1948, in Oil City, he was the son of Tillie Heider Hinds of Erie and the late Francis W. Hinds. Mr. Hinds received an associate degree from Penn State-Behrend. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Hinds was a service representative for 32 years for Unisys, formerly the Burroughs Corp. He enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and woodworking. Mr. Hinds was a member of the National Rifle Association. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 35 years, Linda M. Heath Hinds; two daughters, Cheri M. and Christine A. Hinds, both of North East; a son, Timothy D. Hinds of Erie; and three grandchildren, Alexis, Gabrielle and Devin Hinds of Erie. He also is survived by a sister, Nancy Eichelsdorfer and her husband, David, of Erie; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a dear friend, Thomas G. Barnett Sr. of North East. In addition to his father, Mr. Hinds was preceded in death by a niece and nephew, Kathleen and Jeffery Eichelsdorfer. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, 845 E. 38th St. at Pine Avenue, Erie. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Gregory Church, North East. Floyd Andrew Orr Floyd Andrew Orr, 70, of Dayton, Tenn., formerly of Van, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, in Rhea Medical Center, Dayton, Tenn. Mr. Orr retired as a truck driver for Kraft Concrete, Quaker State and Pennzoil in Oil City. He was married to the former Betty Tarr of Van and she survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Rebecca London and husband, Joe, of Emlenton, Terri Morrison and Cindy Porter, both of Strattanville, and Violet Gratton of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, John Orr and wife, Sharon, of Dayton, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Milford Orr and Charles Orr, both of Michigan; two sisters, Helen Whitling of Van and Pearl Umstead of Rouseville; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Orr was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Florence Louella Sheffler Orr; a brother, Richard Orr; and two sisters, Annabelle Orr and Dorthy Hovis.
