    3. Peggy, I have a copy of an obit for Catherine Weeter Reese. I do not show a listing for Sarah or Harry Reese. Do you have death dates to see if they died before their mother in 1910. Also on the 1880 Census, the listing shows John Reese age 73, Catherine age 51, George B.M. Reese age 14 and Candance age 12. Then on the 1900 Census the listing shows Catherine age 71 with 8 children born, 5 still living. Also there were five still living at the time of Catherines death. Her first six children from first husband Henry Weeter were Josiah Alvin (sometimes show Isaiah), William Warren, Elisabeth Allis (died before age 5), Mary Elisa (died before age 5), Elivira Malissa married to J. F. Hummel, Emma Jane married to Bart Minor. Her last two from John Reese were George B.M. Reese and Candance married to Charles Johnson. It is interesting to look at the Obit. It shows that her maiden name was Weeter and her first husband Henry was a Weeter. I also have a copy of the death certificate that backs up her parents that are listed below as Jacob and Christena Weeter. So bottom line is--I am not sure about the relationship of your Sarah and Harry to the John and Catherine Weeter Reese group. UNLESS there are two Reese/Weeter families. I did notice that your John Reese was younger than the one listed on the 1880 Census. I have copies of most everything I have quoted above. If you are interested, let me know.. Linda Galloway Obituaries From the Clarion Democrat 1906-1910 REESE Catherine--August 11, 1910-- Mrs Catherine Reese, wife of John Reese, was born in Licking Twp, Clarion county, PA., June 19, 1828 and died August 3, 1910, aged 82 years 1 month and 24 days. She became a widow in 1863 and in 1865 was married to John Reese of Easton who for many years was popularly know as "Uncle John Reese" and to his union was born two children. All of the children who are living were present for the funeral; Mrs. J.F. Hummel, Mrs Bart Minor, Mrs. Charles Johnson, J.A. Weeter and Dr. Geo B.M. Reese. She died at the residence of J.F. Hummel, tow miles from Tylersburg Station and was laid to rest in the Callensburg Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wylie. She was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of the United Brethern Church. She lived a happy and glorious life and died a peaceful and triumphant death, and her spirit passed to the great and everlasting Reservation of Eternal Life. ----- Original Message ----- From: <usmcret@spacestar.net> To: <PACLARIO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 07, 2005 3:51 PM Subject: [CLARION] Re: Leadom Fox > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5UC.2ACE/946.2 > > Message Board Post: > > I'm sorry I didn't finish my message.
