Andrews, 86, of 918 Innis St., Oil City, died at 3:46 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born April 20, 1919, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Harold and Blanche Rugh Canon. She was a 1936 graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Andrews was employed in the office at Wolf's Head in her younger years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Oil City. Mrs. Andrews was married April 22, 1939, to Carl R. Andrews, who died March 7, 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Andrews of Oil City and Beulah L. Andrews of Polk; a half brother, Bill Scott of Florida; a half sister, Mary Goldtar of Florida; and a cousin, Glenn Scott of Meadville. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by a son, Carl R. Andrews Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Andrews; and a half brother, Lloyd Canon. Fourth St., Oil City, formerly of Strattanville, died at 1:55 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Sept. 29, 1923, in Fisher, she was a daughter of Eddie E. and Ruth E. Daugherty Davis. Miss Davis attended the Free Methodist Church of Oil City. She enjoyed homemaking, family, church, quilting, journaling and cats. Surviving are a sister, Dorothy L. Brinkley of Oil City; a niece; two nephews; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie E. Davis. Florig, 75, of Knox (Ninevah), died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, in St. Vincent Health Center, Erie. Born Nov. 25, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Elmer and Ethel Josephson Villwock. Mrs. Florig had worked at one time for Bell Telephone. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching the Pirates and Steelers and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Mrs. Florig was married Dec. 27, 1951, to Clair W. Florig, who survives at Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville. Also surviving are two sons, Kurt W. Florig and wife, Sandy, of St. Marys and Craig A. Florig of Philadelphia; a daughter, Susan "Sue" Weaver and husband, Doug, of Nickleville; five grandchildren, Nathan Weaver of Reynoldsville, Josh Weaver and wife, Melissa, of Knox, Kevin Florig of St. Marys and Amy Florig and Michael Florig of Shippenville; and two great-grandchildren, Kylee Weaver and Dillon Williams. She also is survived by a sister, Shirley Matchett of Tucson, Ariz.; four nephews; and one niece. Mrs. Florig was preceded in death by her parents. There will be no public visitation. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Maurice Friedlund, a retired Evangelical Congregational minister, will officiate. Ralph Fortunato Jr. Ralph Fortunato Jr., 65, of 244 Warren Road, Franklin, died at 11:16 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, in his residence. Born Nov. 16, 1939, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Ralph Fortunato Sr. and Mary Swartz Fortunato. Mr. Fortunato retired after 30 years of service as a police officer for the Philadelphia Police Department. He was a safety manager for Embreeville Center and Polk Center until health issues forced him to retire in 2001. Mr. Fortunato served with the U.S. Marine Corps in peacetime. He was a member of the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club and Izzak Walton in Polk. Mr. Fortunato was an avid motorcyclist, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was married Sept. 25, 1998, to Jennie McKay, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Ronald Fortunato and wife, Diane, of Warminster and Debby Fortunato-Parker and husband, Bruce, of Philadelphia; stepchildren, Norman VanConia and wife, Kelli, of Morgantown, Pa., Kimberly VanConia and Randy Molnar of Millersville, Tim VanConia of Gap and Michael VanConia and wife, Stacie, of Coatesville; six grandchildren, Alyssa Fortunato of Warminster, Nicki-Lee Sweeney and Christina Margarite, both of Philadelphia, Caitlin and Nicole VanConia, both of Morgantown, Pa., and Kyle VanConia of Coatesville; and one great-grandchild, Kaylee Sweeney of Philadelphia. He also is survived by a brother, Jerry Fortunato and wife, Deb, of Enola. Mr. Fortunato was preceded in death by his parents. No services will be observed at this time. "Mouse" Ganoe, 74, of Westwood Drive, Clarion, Monroe Township, died at 5 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, at his residence following a sudden illness. Born Oct. 27, 1930, in Clarion, he was the son of Chambers Edgar and Clara Margaret Rapp Ganoe. He served in the U.S. Navy from November 1947 to February 1950. Mr. Ganoe retired Oct. 3, 1994, from Owens-Illinois Glass Plant, Clarion, after 44 years of service. He was treasurer of Local No. 246 for numerous years. Mr. Ganoe was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, had a strong faith and attended church regularly. He enjoyed hunting, walking, yard work and coffee at McDonald's. He loved his family. Mr. Ganoe was married in St. Richard Catholic Church, Rimersburg, July 26, 1951, to Joann Charney, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Barbara Joann Simpson and husband, Roger, of Clarion, Deborah K. Laughlan and husband, Dennis, and Kenneth L. Ganoe and wife, Debbie, all of Shippenville, and Alan John Ganoe of Winchester, Va.; nine grandchildren, Carrie, Jeffrey and Katie Simpson, Erie and Bridget Laughlan, Amber and Ashley Ganoe and Alan and Sandy Ganoe; and a great-grandson, Zachary. "Ginger" Klepfer, 73, of North Mayfield Drive, Clarion Township, died unexpectedly after a sudden illness Saturday morning, June 4, 2005, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 31, 1932, in Rimersburg, she was the daughter of Lawrence S. Schimp and Evelyn M. Hoover Walters. Mrs. Klepfer retired in January from Wein's Clothing Store in Clarion where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion. Mrs. Klepfer also was a member of the Women of the Moose, Clarion Lodge No. 101. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and spending time with her family. Mrs. Klepfer was married July 8, 1950, to James C. Klepfer, who preceded her in death. Getting it right Bonnie E. Bowser: Bonnie E. Bowser, 73, of Knox, died Thursday evening, June 2, 2005, in Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie, following a brief illness. Mrs. Bowser first was married to George N. Bowser, who died in 1952. On June 26, 1953, she married Louis D. Bowser, who died June 6, 2000. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ray Gordon Bowser, in 1984.
