He leaves a wife, one son, two daughters and an adopted son and daughter as follows: John Gruber, Elk Township; Mrs. Sidney F. Bell, DuBois; Mrs. Ida Sloan, Parker's Landing; Jacob Gruber, Sistersville, W.Va, and Mrs. John Sherman, Strattanville. He was married Oct 22, 1846 to Miss Euphema Campbell of Ringgold, Jefferson county, and they were permitted to enjoy 58 years of married life together. He was born in Northumberland county, Pa., and Mrs. Gruber was born in Northampton county, Pa. CORRECTIONS and additional data: John GRUBER Jr. was born 9 March 1824 in Moore Township in Northampton county, PA, son of Johannes GRUBER, Sr. and Catharine FAUST. His wife, Euphema CAMPBELL was born 5 Feb 1828 in Augusta Township in Northumberland county, PA, daughter of Benjamin Reeder CAMPBELL and Sarah GOSS. Additional information on children: 1) male newborn died same day; 2) Sarah Catherine died age 15 months; 3) Reeder Henry died same day; 4) John Wm. Martin GRUBER of Elk Township, and married to Minnie Louella BLACK; 5) Hannah Euphema married to Sidney Fuller BELL of DuBois; 6) Ida Rebecca married to James Melvin SLOAN of Parker’s Landing; 7) Jacob M.
