    3. The Derrick, June 15, 2005: Charles E. Beers, Tionesta and Florida Patty E. Cisneros, Parker Geneva Pearl Craig, Village of Lawsonham Mary E. Davis, Shippenville RD John H. Krug, Vidor, Texas Charles E. Beers Charles E. Beers, 81, of Tionesta and Florida, who primarily resided in Tionesta for the last 10 years, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, in Florida. Born April 4, 1924, in Arthurs, Paint Township, he was the son of Milo and Gertrude Eisenman Beers. Mr. Beers was a U.S. Navy veteran and served honorably for more than 20 years. His tour of duty took him through World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He began his second career as a merchant mariner and retired in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Emily d'Apuzzo; three children, Leonette Steele and husband, Floyd, of Alaska and John Beers and Brenda Davidson, both of California; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St Michael Church, Fryburg, with the Rev. David Poulson, pastor, as the presider. His cremains will be interred in St. Michael Cemetery following the mass. Patty E. Cisneros Patty E. Cisneros, 47, of Parker, died suddenly of undetermined causes Monday evening, June 13, 2005, at her residence. Born June 23, 1957, in Butler, she was the daughter of Alvin Suttle of the Petrolia area and the late Ruby Shearer Suttle. She attended the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Boyers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed caring for her pets. Surviving, in addition to her father, are a daughter, Victoria Cisneros of Parker; her grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Shearer of Parker, who cared for her following the death of her mother; a sister, Connie Dorr of Parker; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Warinner of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Boyers, officiating. Interment will be in Allegheny Cemetery near Parker. Geneva Pearl Craig Geneva Pearl Craig, 91, of the Village of Lawsonham, Clarion County, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2005. Born Aug. 7, 1913, in Cooks Station, she was the daughter of Boyde and Mattie Minck Hooks. Mrs. Craig worked as a clerk at the former Miners Store in Rimersburg and also worked at the Davis Cookie Co. in Rimersburg. She was a member of the Lawsonham Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Lawsonham Quilting Group. Mrs. Craig was a homemaker and loved quilting, baking, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married in Clarion by Esq. Arner April 15, 1933, to Clyde "Dutch" Craig, who died Nov. 25, 1976. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Michael Doshen of Leechburg and Judy and James Duncan of Rimersburg; five grandchildren, Michael Doshen of Hughesville, Md., Laurel Krafick of Modesto, Calif., Beth Speedy of New Kensington, Kelly Webb of State College and Karla Cyphert of New Bethlehem; 14 great-grandchildren, Craig, Lindsey and Kristan Doshen, Jessica and Lucas Krafick, Sara Brestensky, Julie, Rachel, Duncan, Chloe and Olivia Webb and Corey, Josie and Noah Cyphert. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Vern (Beatrice) DeLacour of Tidal; and a stepsister, Wanda Anthony of Rimersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Keesey; and five brothers, Walter, Jack and Boyde Hooks Jr. and two infants. The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Varner Funeral Home of Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lawsonham Methodist Church near Rimersburg with the Rev. James Eaton, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Tidal Cemetery, Armstrong County. The family suggests memorials be made to the Lawsonham Methodist Church, Rimersburg, 16248. Mary E. Davis Mary E. Davis, 95, of Shippenville RD, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. Born June 3, 1910, at Shippenville RD, she was the daughter of John and Mary Lichtenberger Siegel. Mrs. Davis lived in the Shippenville area all her life and attended Lauer School. She had worked at several area restaurants and also at Crator Manufacturing in Tionesta. Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. She first was married in 1930 to Earl Gardlock, who died in 1952. She then was married in 1956 to William Davis, who died Aug. 4, 1997. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Davis was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, John Earl Gardlock, Feb. 22, 1956; six brothers, John, Carl, Harold, Paul, Joseph and Bernard; and four sisters, Rose Barnhart, Edna Schell, Anna Sonoski and Louise Huefner. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Michael Church, Fryburg, with the Rev. William Rice as the presider. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Fryburg. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the new step fund at St. Michael Church, Fryburg. John H. Krug Jr. John H. Krug, 43, of Vidor, Texas, formerly of Oil City, died Saturday, June 4, 2005, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born Oct. 14, 1961, in Oil City, he was the son of John H. Krug Sr. of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Janet M. Krug of Tucson, Ariz. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged four years later after serving a tour of duty in Germany. Mr. Krug loved and cared for his family and close friends and always was ready with a helping hand. His interests were NASCAR races, car racing, hunting and his dogs. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son, Bradley Jones and wife, Carol, and three grandchildren, Kirsten, Courtney and Dustin, all of Vidor, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Cochran of Tucson, Ariz.; and his stepmother Vicki Krug of Ashtabula, Ohio. He also is survived by two sisters, Chris Krug and Michelle Henry, both of Houston, Texas; a brother, Michael Krug and wife, Deborah, of Show Low, Ariz.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Cochran; and his paternal grandparents, William and Helen Krug. A private memorial service was held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas, for the immediate family and close friends. A second memorial service will be held in the chapel at Grove Hill Cemetery, Oil City, at a later date. His cremains will be interred there. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
