    3. EVELYN SARAH SHREVE Evelyn Sarah Shreve, 86, of 115 E. Sixth St., died at 1:50 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2000, at the Oil City Presbyterian Home. Born April 9, 1914, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Harry A. and Sadie M. Hunt Kent. Mrs. Shreve was a 1932 graduate of Oil City High School. She had worked in the office of Printz men's clothing store. Mrs. Shreve was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. For many years she was a primary Sunday School teacher and served as financial secretary. She was president of the women's society for one year and served on the board of the church for several terms. She was a past matron of Holly Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a current member of Morris Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the White Shrine and of the Wimodausis Club in New Castle. On Nov. 27, 1937, she married Edward A. Shreve, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and her husband, Elaine Marie Shreve Howard and Edward H. Howard of Oil City; a grandson, Kent Howard and his wife, Julie, of Cranberry Township, Butler County; and a great-grandson, Nicholas Howard of Cranberry Township, Butler County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lon A. Kent, Ralph H. Kent and James R. Kent; and a sister, Bertha Madjor. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted G. Cole, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Order of Eastern Star or Trinity United Methodist Church.
