Adams, 85, of Seneca, died at 10:32 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca The Hile-Best Funeral Home, Seneca, is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Thursday in The Derrick. Lucille L. Friggle Fisher Lucille L. Friggle Fisher, 75, formerly of Cooperstown, Franklin and Tucson, Ariz., died at 11 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2005, in Huntingdon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Huntingdon. Born April 27, 1920, in Erie, she was the daughter of William B. and Helen McMichael Longnecker. Mrs. Fisher was a graduate of Academy High School, Erie, and Erie Commercial College. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1940. While living in Franklin, Mrs. Fisher served on the boards of Franklin Hospital Auxiliary, American Red Cross and Franklin Civic Operetta. She first was married in Erie in 1942 to Edward David Friggle, who died in 1971. In 1974, she moved to Tucson, Ariz., where she was employed at the University of Arizona. She then was married in 1978 to Vance Earl Fisher, who died in 1981. Mrs. Fisher then moved in 1992 to Huntingdon. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah R. Friggle Hughes of Huntingdon; two sons, David E. Friggle of Branson, Mo., and William T. Friggle of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Nathan W. Hughes, Kyle G. Hughes, William J. Friggle and Michael A. Friggle. She also is survived by two brothers, Kenneth W. Longnecker of San Diego, Calif., and Jack A. Longnecker of Zephyr Hills, Fla. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter L. Longnecker. Private graveside funeral services will be held in Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the American Heart Association. Arrangements are in charge of the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, 1106 Mifflin St., Huntingdon. Geraldine Seitz Geraldine Seitz, 24, daughter of Gerald and Theresa Seitz of Route 208, Marble, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. The Faller Funeral Home in Fryburg is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Thursday in The Derrick. Henry E. Stricek Henry E. Stricek, 70, of 8 Ellen Drive , Oil City, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2005, in the Oil City Presbyterian Home after an extended illness. Born July 15, 1934, in Curwensville, he was the 11th of 12 children born to the late Frank and Hedwig Kubista Stricek. Mr. Stricek was a 1952 graduate of Curwensville High School. He had completed graduate courses in business and management at Cornell University. He joined the Naval Reserve in January 1953 and was honorably discharged in January 1961. Mr. Stricek started working for Penn Traffic Corp. in 1955 at the Clearfield Riverside Market on Old Town Road, working as a stock boy and then moving up to assistant manager. He then was transferred to the Oil City Hasson Heights store in 1967 where he took over as manager. He continued working there until 1985 when he purchased the store. He owned and operated Henry's Riverside until Nov. 1, 1997, at which time Mayor Malachy McMahon declared it "Henry Stricek Day." He was actively involved in the Oil City area. He belonged to the Venango County Area Vocational-Technical School Board and the Oil City Lions Club where he served two terms as club president, receiving the Melvin Jones Award, the highest Lions award. He was a member of the Oil City Area Chamber of Commerce where he served as chairman of the annual steak fry for many years. He was a member for many years of the Venango County Blind Association and entertained at its yearly picnics. Mr. Stricek also was a member of the American Legion, the B.P.O. Elks, the Moose Club, the Eagles Club and the Polish National Alliance. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Fourth Degree Assembly. Mr. Stricek was a well-known musician for many years belonging to the Musicians' Union. He started playing in a dance band in his high school years and continued through the 1990s, appearing locally with Carl Brozeski, Joe Brozeski, Bob English, Tim Beach, Jim Bechtel, Phil Runzo and Don English. He became famous for his yodeling talents. He played saxophone and guitar and sang vocals, appearing on stage in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Disney World, Tucson and Scottsdale, Ariz. He enjoyed music, crafts, golf and traveling. Mr. Stricek was married in 1955 in St. Timothy Church, Curwensville, to the former Florence Bailor, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Pamela Anne Magee and husband, Frank, of Houston, Texas, Sharon Kaye Way and husband, Christopher, of Oil City and Diane Marie Arrieta and husband, Leslie, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three granddaughters, Megan Magee of Houston, Texas, Jayme Magee of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kara Magee of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two grandsons, Christopher and Jonathan Way, both of Pittsburgh. He also is survived by two brothers, John Stricek of Curwensville and Joseph Stricek of Reading; and seven sisters, Johanna Veltri of Brockway, Mary Jendrisak of Akron, Ohio, Verna Vrobel of New Florence, Elizabeth Bungo of Baden, Helen Stricek and Anne Lutz, both of Curwensville and Mildred Hewitt of Florida. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stricek was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven and Francis Stricek. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Reinsel Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Msgr. John W. Swoger, pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oil City Presbyterian Home, St. Joseph Church Development Fund or to the VNA Foundation.
