Jones Donald Keith Bills Donald Keith Bills, 54, formerly of Clarion, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in Altoona Regional Hospital. Kathryn Cathcart, 89, formerly of McCleary Road, Clarion, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in the Golden Living Center, Clarion. Born Feb. 28, 1918, in Monroe Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Homer B. and Orpha Hepler Gourley. Mrs. Cathcart was a member of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Miola She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cathcart was married Nov. 15, 1938, to Ralph M. Cathcart, who preceded her in death July 21, 1988. Surviving are one son, Samuel C. Cathcart of Sigel; three daughters, Marlene Evans of Aliquippa, Mrs. Martin (Ruth) Anderson of Clarion and Mrs. Charles (Bonnie) Hendershot of Leeper; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also is survived by three brothers, Jack Gourley of New Bethlehem, Norman Gourley of Clarion and David Gourley of Reynoldsville; and one sister, Marcella Slike of Clarion. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cathcart was preceded in death by one son, Donald Cathcart; two grandsons, Martin Lee Anderson in 1966 and Mitchell Lee Anderson in 1989; two sisters, Florence Gandolfi and Jane Girt; and six brothers, Noble, Clyde, Andy, Wayne, Bill and Robert Gourley. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Cedarview Memorial Park near Strattanville. Robert B. Hart, 81, of 1839 Jackson Center-Polk Road, Stoneboro, Mineral Township, Venango County, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 22, 1926, in Hendersonville, he was the son of Charles M. and Amy M. Brink Hart. Mr. Hart was a 1944 graduate of Sandy Lake High School. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps. Mr. Hart retired in 1992 after 43 years with Cooper Energy of Grove City. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Hart enjoyed hunting deer and turkey, going fishing in Canada and watching sports on television. In early years, he enjoyed playing baseball and softball. He also enjoyed his time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was married Sept. 27, 1944, to Lillian G. Beach, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Dixie E. Shrout and fianc,, Raymond Sanford of Stoneboro; one son, Robert L. Hart and wife, Susan of Greenville; two grandchildren, Mrs. Joshua (Michelle) Lentz of Butler and Eric A. Hart and wife, Jamie, of Greenville; two stepgrandsons, Ed Casteel and wife, Nancy, of Franklin and Alan Shrout and wife, Debbie, of Oil City; one stepgranddaughter, Hannah Borger and husband, Dan, of Arizona; three great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. He also is survived by six sisters, Alice Moon of Grove City, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Carey of Jackson Center, Mrs. William (Jeannette) Sopher of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Donald (Rose Anne) Sloan of Clintonville, Mrs. Everett (Judy) Gilliland of Franklin and Mrs. Richard (Linda) Pryor of Kent, Ohio; and one brother, James Hart and wife, Carolyn, of Fredericktown, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hart was preceded in death by one step-great-grandchild; a son-in-law, Eugene Shrout; one sister, Marilou Morley; and four brothers, Charles, Bill, Kenneth and Gene Hart. "Jim" Kaufman, 54, of Washington Street, Parker, died Thursday morning, Oct. 18, 2007, in Butler Memorial Hospital following a long struggle with complications from a brain tumor. Born April 1, 1953, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John J. and Margaret Morris Kaufman. Mr. Kaufman was a 1971 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in history in 1975 from Grove City College. He was a member of St. Mary of the Snows Roman Catholic Church in Parker. Mr. Kaufman was a well-known local musician during the 1970s and 1980s as a singer and guitar player. His love of fine wood working and stringed instruments led him to serve an apprenticeship in violin making under the tutelage of John S. Strauss in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the early 1980s. Mr. Kaufman returned to Parker and operated his own instrument and antique furniture repair workshop for many years before relocating to Southhampton, N.Y. He spent 19 years in Southhampton continuing his singing career while working as the acting manager of Herricks, a historical multi-faceted hardware store in the upscale village of Long Island. His recent years were spent in Parker surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Kaufman is survived by a daughter, Bridget Elizabeth Kaufman of Southhampton, N.Y.; a paternal aunt, Mary Catherine Kaufman of Parker, the family matriarch; a maternal aunt, Sister Jeanne Ellen Morris of Seaton Hill College, Greensburg. He also is survived by four sisters, Kathleen M. Kaufman of Salt Lake City, Utah; Jeanne Marie Kaufman of Pittsburgh; Madeline Havrilla and husband, David, of Monroeville; and Maggie Craig and husband, David, of Chicora; five brothers, Thomas J. Kaufman of Rockville, Md.; William J. Kaufman of Parker; Raymond J. Kaufman and wife, Amy, of Parker; Paul J. Kaufman of Parker and Edward J. Kaufman of Parker and his friend, Charlene; 19 nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew, Jack. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church, Parker, with the Rev. Joseph Bonafed, church pastor, presiding. Interment will follow at the Kaufman Family Cemetery on the family farm in Parker. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home Inc. in Emlenton. 'Randy' Rossey Raymond A. "Randy" Rossey, 42, of 105 Jenks St., Brookville, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in Brookville Hospital. Born April 23, 1965, in Brookville, he was the son of Barry L. Rossey and Evelyn Neal Rossey, who survive in Brookville. Mr. Rossey owned and operated Computer Products Co. of Clarion for more than 20 years. He was the founder of www.ccybernet.com and wireless internet service. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Independent Baptist Church of Corsica. Mr. Rossey enjoyed golfing and family. Surviving in addition to his parents are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Independent Baptist Church in Corsica with the Rev. Tom Blose officiating.
