Edwards, Waterston Road, Clarion Henry "Hank" Vasbinder, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County Norma J. "Linda" Cubbison, 76, of 1573 State Route 227, (Plumer) Oil City, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in the Titusville Area Hospital. Born Feb. 6, 1931, in Lancaster, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joy and Doris Mansberger Fink. Mrs. Cubbison had attended the Mount Carmel Tabernacle in Dempseytown. She was a member of the Oil City TOPS. Mrs. Cubbison loved playing guitar and entertaining around the area. She was known for her hospitality to friends and neighbors. She enjoyed gathering with her family. Her favorite time of the year was celebrating Christmas with her family. She was married July 18, 1948, in the Breedtown Baptist Church to Clyde A. "Cubby" Cubbison, who preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2005. Surviving are her stepfather, Frank Brink of Titusville; five daughters, Phyllis Warham and husband, Fred, of Titusville, Ginger Keister and husband, Lindy, of Pine City, Barbara Snyder and husband, Richard, of McClure, Martha Turner of Titusville and Sue Sterling and husband, Kevin, of Titusville; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter. She also is survived by a sister, Vondella Brown of Vancouver, Wash.; two half sisters, Lynne Wescoat and husband, Tom, of Titusville and Robin Gold of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael W. Snyder. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm. Monday in the Titusville Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy Maybray, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Titusville Hospital Foundation or to the Venango County Visiting Nurses Association. Marian L. Edwards, 82, of Waterston Road, Clarion, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in the Hospice House, Shippenville. Born Jan. 2, 1925, in Clarion, she was the daughter of Thomas T. and Dorothy Schimp Reddinger. Mrs. Edwards worked in the family business, Edwards Appliance Store, in Clarion. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion and was a former Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Edwards was active in the C-L Boosters Club and was Clarion-Limestone "Fan of the Year." She was a homemaker and was an avid bowler. Mrs. Edwards was married Aug. 21, 1947, to George L. Edwards Jr. who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Denny Edwards of Fisher and Robert Edwards of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Susie Edwards Reinsel of Clarion and Lori Edwards Galbraith of Brookville; 11 grandchildren, Michael and Brian Edwards, Chrissy Wendling, Audra Faure, Joanna Powell, Traci Nutson, Todd Smith, Bill Smith, Laura Dunn, Brenton and Kaitlin Galbraith; and 13 great- grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, Tom Reddinger of Shippenville and John Reddinger of Ford City; and one sister, Dorothy "Chook" Klepfer of Clarion. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Dardanella Kagle; and two brothers, Richard Reddinger and an infant, Robert Reddinger. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion. A Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in the Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor, presiding. Entombment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the Hospice House in Shippenville. Henry "Hank" Vasbinder, 74, of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, accidentally in his home. Born May 14, 1933, in Phillipston, he was the son of Charles A. and Mildred A. Butler Vasbinder. He was a graduate of East Brady High School, East Brady. Mr. Vasbinder worked for 30 years as a welder for Pullman Standard in Butler, 17 years as a welder for Trinity Industries in Butler and worked as a bartender at the Moose Lodge No. 962 in Chicora. In his younger days he was an accomplished baseball player for many teams in Clarion, Butler and Armstrong counties. He had tryouts with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed watching baseball, football, basketball and hockey. Mr. Vasbinder was a member of the American Legion Post No. 488 of Bradys Bend, VFW Post No. 7131 of Rimersburg, Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1484 of Bradys Bend and Moose Lodge No. 962 of Chicora. He was married June 21, 1986, to Nancy M. Crawford of Sugarcreek Township and she survives. Also surviving are five sons, Barry C. Vasbinder of Rimersburg, Michael H. Vasbinder of Indiana, Pa., Matthew Vasbinder of Virginia Beach, Va., Larry Hicks of Cowansville and Raymond Toy of Sugarcreek Township; four daughters, Sue Ann Kriebel of Rimersburg, Rebecca Sullivan of Virginia Beach, Va., Sandra Hicks of Sugarcreek Township and Linda Hicks of Kittanning; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one brother, Jesse Vasbinder of Sandy Hollow, Madison Township, Clarion County; and one sister, Betty Watson of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee Vasbinder and Richard C. Vasbinder, and one sister, Caroline Smail. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Church of God of Prophecy, New Athens. The Rev. Leonard J. Goughler, pastor, will officiate.
