Weible Jr., Knox John A. Winger, Sunville Road, Cooperstown Adam J. Andres, 89, of 1281 Shaffer Run Road, Oil City, died at 4:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca after a brief illness. Born Jan. 14, 1918, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Michael and Aniela Urban Andres. Mr. Andres attended the Assumption and Oil City schools. He was married in Assumption BVM Church in 1939 by Rev. Mieczkowski to the former Jessie Gawrys, and she survives. Mr. Andres worked at Freeman Motors in Oil City and later at Wolf's Head in Reno, where he retired after 391/2 years of service. He was of the Catholic Faith. Mr. Andres enjoyed photography and collecting stamps and was a member of the Philatelic Society and a charter member of the Venango Camera Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and their spouses, Evelyn and John Kolojejchick and Michael and Cheri Andres, all of Oil City; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeff Baker, Jeremy and Jennifer Andres and John Kolojejchick III; and three great-grandchildren, Kimmber and twins Caleb and Joshua. Also surviving are two brothers, Al Andres and John Andres, both of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Frank and Edmund Andres; and one sister, Stella Andres Their will be no viewing or visitation, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Billingsley, 71, of 388 Larimer Road, Hadley, (Sandy Creek Township), formerly of Sandy Lake, died at 9:48 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh after an extended illness. Born June 4, 1936, in Franklin, he was the son of S. Emory and Grace M. Beggs Billingsley. He was a 1955 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1959 graduate of Lincoln Chiropractic College of Indianapolis, Ind., with degrees in chiropractic medicine, x-ray spinography and radiology and a minor in psychology. Mr. Billingsley was a member of Sigma Phi Lambda, a professional chiropractic fraternity. "Doc," as he was fondly known, began his practice in the Lakeview area in 1959 and spent 35 years in Sandy Lake. He also had practices in Greenville and Cochranton. Mr. Billingsley was semi-retired and was currently in practice in Hadley. His 48 years of service to his patients was a passion for him, and he displayed this with his commitment to his profession and to those he cared for. Mr. Billingsley was a member of the American Chiropractic Society and was a founding member and past president of the Mercer County Chiropractic Association. He was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and had attended New Lebanon Community Church. Mr. Billingsley enjoyed hunting and going to camp with family and friends. He was a dedicated husband and father. He was a member of Lake Lodge 434, Sandy Lake, and the New Castle Consistory, Scottish Rites and Zem Zem Shrine of Erie. Mr. Billingsley married Nancy L. Crownoble on May 25, 1969, and she preceded him in death Nov. 7, 1998. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Amy) Hummel of Windsor, Va.; three sons, Christopher Beahan and wife, Amy, of Wilmington, N.C., Warren E. Billingsley and wife, Jennifer, of Forest Hill, Md., and Daniel L. Billingsley of Hadley; three grandchildren and another grandchild to be born in June; and one brother, the Rev. Emory B. Mary Ann Burk, 85, of 1290 Rocky Grove Ave., Franklin, died at 12:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born Sept. 29, 1922, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Michael Kusz and Barbara Hajduk Kusz. She retired from Polk Center, where she worked as a cook. Mrs. Burk enjoyed her cats and gambling at casinos. She also enjoyed her flowers and taking pictures. She married Charles A. Burk on July 19, 1941, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Burk is survived by two children, James W. Burk and Charles L. Burk, both of Franklin; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Ann Moran of Oil City. Gardner, 93, of Lamartine, Salem Township, Clarion County, a retired teacher and long-time Republican Committee person, died late Thursday evening, Dec. 20, 2007, at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo. Mrs. Gardner was born in Jan. 20, 1914, in State College, and she was the daughter of Newton N. and Elizabeth Thompson Hartswick. Mrs. Gardner graduated from high school in State College in 1931. She was a 1935 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in education. Her teaching career spanned 33 years, and she taught in Townville, Lamartine, Knox, Emlenton and Parker. She retired in 1969 from Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District. Mrs. Gardner was married May 2, 1941, in St. Petersburg, to Arthur F. Gardner, and he preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1998. Mrs. Gardner was a long-time active member of Salem Reformed United Church of Christ in Lamartine. She served the church as choir director for many years. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star in both Emlenton and Parker, and she was worthy matron in 1950. She served on the Rainbow advisory board in Emlenton for 15 years. Mrs. Gardner was a charter member of the auxiliary to the DeHart-Rossman Wenner American Legion Post in Lamartine. She served the auxiliary as president for three years and was the chairperson of the Americanism Committee. In addition, she was a member of the NRTA, PSAP and the Clarion County Retired Teachers Association. She served as the Republican Committee person for Salem Township for more than 25 years, and she was also a member of the 55 Plus Club of Lamartine. Mrs. Gardner is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; several cousins and friends in the Emlenton and State College areas; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Smith of Turkey City. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Adam Hartswick, Herbert Hartswick, Fred Hartswick Jr. and Lewis Hartswick; and four sisters, Elizabeth Corby, Ethel Swartz, Catherine Clark and Rebecca Barrington. Paul Hrabovsky Paul Hrabovsky, 89, of Tionesta, formerly of Freeport, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at his home in Tionesta. Born June 5, 1918, in Moween, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Seben Hrabovsky. On June 22, 1942, in Carnegie, he married the former Louise A. Davis, and she survives. He retired Aug. 31, 1982, from Allegheny Ludlum, where he worked as an engineer. Mr. Hrabovsky was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Natrona Heights. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the Tionesta area. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hrabovsky is survived by two sons, Paul E. Hrabovsky and his wife, Pamela, of Rural Valley, and Wayne Hrabovsky and his wife, Karen, of Glenshaw; two daughters, Donna L. Mohan and her husband, Michael, of Vandergrift, and Pamela A. Lawrence of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ernest Hrabovsky of Pittsburgh and the Rev. Eugene Hrabovsky of Bridgeville; three sisters, Mary Trusik of Natrona Heights, Helen Hrabovsky of Carnegie and Margaret Hrabovsky of Heidelberg, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Kerr, 63, of 1342 Franklin Ave., Franklin, died peacefully at 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, in her home surrounded by her family. Born Oct. 13, 1944, in Oil City, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Russell and Catherine Anderson Shawgo. She will be fondly remembered by her family as loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and trusted friend. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and Yahtzee, and, as her health permitted, taking Sunday car rides with her family. She was a member of Jesse Greer VFW Post 1885. Mrs. Kerr is survived by five children, William Dolan and his special friend, Linda, of Erie, Kimberly Dolan and her special friend, Carlos DeJesus, of Franklin, Karl "Eric" Dolan and his wife, Holli, of Franklin, Frank Kerr and his fianc,e, Kimberly Gesin, of Franklin, and Donald Colwell and his companion, Amanda Haylett, of Franklin; 16 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are three brothers, William Shawgo Jr. of Seneca, Thomas Shawgo and his wife, Judy, of Franklin, and Jim Shawgo of Franklin; five sisters, Patricia Foust and her husband, Rodney, of Orange City, Fla., Cathy Masus of Plumer, Tammy Coleman and her husband, Donald, of Plumer, Debbie Deusser and her husband, Greg, of Sumner, Wash., and Barb Satterlee and her husband, Dave, of Polk; and two special friends, Sherri Miller and Marge Gough, both of Franklin. Lutz, 69, of Lucinda, died early Friday morning, Dec. 21, 2007, at his home. Born Oct. 11, 1938 at Lucinda, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Anna E. Porter Lutz. Mr. Lutz married the former Jean A. Schmader on June 19, 1965, at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, and she survives. Mr. Lutz served with the U.S. Army. He worked for Corrugated Box Factory in Knox for 10 years, then at Franklin Steel for 21 years until his retirement. Mr. Lutz was a member of the American Legion in Clarion, the Loyal Order of the Moose, where he served as a trustee, and the Legion of the Moose. He enjoyed hunting and playing cards at camp. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lutz is survived by one son, Timothy A. Lutz and his wife, Andrea L., of LaVerne, Calif.; five brothers, James C. Lutz and his wife, Carol, of Blairsville, Thomas W. Lutz of Clarence, N.Y., Raymond Lutz and his wife, Michal, of Lucinda, William J. Lutz of Lucinda and Paul A. Lutz of Knox; and three sisters, Delores Jane Hollis and her husband, William, of Leeper, Della M. Lutz of Lucinda and Nellie M. Rupert and her husband, James, of Shippenville. Also surviving are one granddaughter, Stephanie R. Lutz; one step-grandson, Andrew Walker; and a number of nieces and nephews. Weible Jr., 83, of Knox, died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Clarion. Born July 31, 1924, in Knox, he was the son of the late David C. and Mary Whitehill Weible. Mr. Weible retired from Knox Glass after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. Mr. Weible was a member of Edenburg Presbyterian Church in Knox. He also belonged to Berlin-Boswer American Legion Post 277 and the Knox Sportsman's Club. He was a 50-year member of Edenburg Lodge 550, F&AM, in Knox, the Venango Lodge of Perfection and the New Castle Consistory. Mr. Weible enjoyed hunting, bowling, golf and spending time with his grandchildren. He married the former Dorothy Hahn on March 16, 1943, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Kellogg and her husband, Jon "Herk", of Knox, and Gayle Brohl of Madison, N.J.; one sister, Mary Jane Wise of Knox; two grandchildren, Kim Schmader and her husband, Kevin, of Brockport, and Jon T. Kellogg Jr. of Knox; and four great-grandchildren, Courtney Kellogg, Caitlin Kellogg, Landon Schmader and Lauren Schmader. Winger, 74, of 1672 Sunville Road, Cooperstown, died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh following an extended illness. Born July 2, 1933, in Oil City, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Ella Mae Brown Winger. He attended the Oil City schools. Mr. Winger had been employed by D.I.C. Tool Co. of Meadville as a foreman for eight years, retiring in 1983. He had previously worked in construction and as a truck driver. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he belonged to the Rainbow Beagle Club. Mr. Winger married the former Betty Mae Simpson of Franklin in their Sunville home on Oct. 3, 1949, and she preceded him in death. He is survived by seven children and their spouses, Mary Jane and Dan Buchanan of Meadville, John W. and Angie Winger of Henrys Bend, Betty Jean and Frank Kramer of Cochranton, David D. Winger of Sunville, Diana and Richard Vann of Conneaut Lake, Michael E. and Amy Winger of Franklin and Beverley and Frank Heller of Franklin. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
