Wice, Laurel Terrace, Franklin Eugene Allen Winchester, Route 68, Rimersburg Delbert E. "Del" "Deb" Williams, formerly of Oil City Hannah E. Allen Hannah E. Allen, 89, of 869 Pioneer Road, Franklin, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, in Sugar Creek Station, Franklin. Born Sept. 7, 1915, in Kennerdell, she was the daughter of George W. and Pauline Weaver Latchaw. She was a graduate of Cranberry High School. Mrs. Allen was married May 9, 1936, to Louis W. Allen, who died Aug. 23, 1985. Surviving are a son, William L. Allen and wife, Jane, of Franklin; two grandsons, Steve W. Allen of Franklin and David R. Allen of Greensboro, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon and Sarah Allen, all of Franklin. She also is survived by a sister, Julia Reese of Bithlo, Fla. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Harrison and Eugene Latchaw; and three sisters, Martha Latchaw, Mildred Tarr and Sara Latchaw. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Roble, pastor of the East Grove United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Mary Jo Driscoll Cluff Mary Jo Driscoll Cluff, 47, of 61 Rockwood Ave., Oil City, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca, following a battle with cancer for nearly two years. Born Jan. 29, 1957, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Evelyn Kleck Driscoll and the late Thomas J. Driscoll Sr. She attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a 1975 graduate of Venango Christian High School. Mrs. Cluff had been employed for the past 28 years in the dietary department of the Oil City Hospital, Northwest Medical Center and UPMC Northwest. She was enrolled in the registered nurse program at Venango Campus at the time of her death and was to graduate this spring. Mrs. Cluff was a member of St. Joseph Church. Her interests included traveling, boating, water skiing, bicycling, photography and hot air ballooning. Mrs. Cluff was married on Valentine's Day Feb. 14, 1990, to Garrett C. Cluff, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Chad Anderson of Oil City; her mother, Evelyn K. Driscoll of Oil City; two brothers, Thomas J. Driscoll Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla., and Patrick J. Driscoll of Harrisburg; and five nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church with Msgr. John W. Swoger, pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Venango/Forest Unit of the American Cancer Society, the VNA Foundation, Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department or to a charity of one's choice. Mary E. Fike Florek Mary E. Fike Florek, 89, of Oil City, formerly of Venus, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Sept. 23, 1915, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Walter and Margaret Moss Dolby. She was a 1934 graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Florek worked for 10 years in the housekeeping department at the Oil City Hospital and then worked as a child care aide at Polk Center for 12 years, retiring in September 1980. She was a member of the Oil City Salvation Army and its Home League and the Oil City Senior Center. Mrs. Florek enjoyed reading the Bible, her church activities and spending time with her family and friends. She first was married Aug. 29, 1962, to Clair Fike, who died Oct. 5, 1973. She then was married Oct. 2, 1980, to Bruno Florek, who died April 2, 1991. Surviving are seven stepchildren, Sarah Gallagher and husband, Clem, Virginia Carter and husband, Russell, and Jim Fike and wife Ann, all of Cooperstown; Shirley Fuller and husband, Sam, of Lander, Wyo.; John Fike and wife, Nancy, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; Donald Fike and wife, Deb, of Dover, Tenn.; a special son, Jack Fike and wife, Sally, of Erie; an adopted son, Ernie Banks and wife, Gail, of Franklin; numerous stepgrandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Rita Erwin of Venus; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by two stepsons, Robert Fike and Clarence Fike; one brother, Duane Dolby; and two sisters, Gertrude Hart and Mrs. Leo (Jean) Jez. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Osenider Funeral Home, Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Hart, pastor of the Seneca Evangelical Congregational Church, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Todd Wilhelm of Salem, Ohio, a great-nephew of the deceased. Phyllis Lorraine Rinella Fornof Phyllis Lorraine Rinella Fornof, 77, of 216 Seneca Woods, Seneca, died at 7:06 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in Beverly Healthcare-Oil City, after an extended illness. Born Nov. 20, 1927, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of James and Frances Caralla Rinella. She was a graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Fornof worked for J.C. Penney store, YWCA Nursery School and did volunteer work at the Oil City Hospital and St. Joseph School. A devoted wife and mother, her proudest accomplishment was the raising of her five sons. Mrs. Fornof was a member of St. Joseph Church in Oil City. She was married by the Rev. P.A. Lynch in St. Joseph Church Feb. 1, 1947, to Richard Paul Fornof, who survives. Also surviving are her five sons, Douglas P. Fornof of Seneca, Richard A. Fornof and wife, Kim, Thomas M. Fornof and wife, Janet, and Jason E. Fornof, all of Oil City, and Mark D. Fornof and wife, Mindy, of Cranberry; five grandchildren, Brad A. Fornof and wife, Joy, and Joshua Fornof, all of Oil City, Stephen M. Fornof and Christine J. Fornof, both of Pittsburgh, and Chase Fornof of Cranberry; and two great-grandchildren, Noah J. Fornof and Isaiah M. Fornof, both of Oil City. She also is survived by special friends, Laura Rusnok and Betty and Allyssa Jones; two sisters, Frances Perri and Rose Zarecki, both of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fornof was preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine Poulter, Mary Jane Stack and Dorothy Giordano; and one brother, James Rinella. "Ted" Hetrick, 79, of Kingsville, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 4, 2004, at his home. Born Feb. 19, 1925, in Limestone, he was the son of Priscilla Hetrick. He was a 1943 graduate of Clarion-Limestone School and continued his education throughout his life, taking numerous management courses. Mr. Hetrick worked in labor relations for Penn Central Railroad and retired from General Truck Sales. His interests included reading and collecting train memorabilia. Mr. Hetrick was a volunteer for the Literacy Council of Clarion County, teaching many to read, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Kingsville United Methodist Church. Mr. Hetrick was married in Summerville June 10, 1949, to the former Ethel L. Whiteman, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Ted and Sandy Hetrick of Baxter and Wayne and Lisa Hetrick of Fairmount City; two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Sherry) Murray of Kingsville and Mrs. Gary (Lori) Craig of Cottage Hill; 11 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Hetrick was preceded in death by his mother in 1971. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Furlong Funeral Home, Summerville. Kelly Dawn Hopper Kelly Dawn Hopper, 35, of Summit Ridge Road, New Bethlehem, Porter Township, Clarion County, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, where she was taken following an explosion Oct. 7 that destroyed her home. Born Sept. 29, 1969, in Brookville, she was the daughter of Susan D. Smith of Rimersburg and the late Richard Eugene Beabout. She was a 1988 graduate of Union High School and attended Clarion Vo-Tech where she received a degree in food management. Mrs. Hopper previously was employed at the Archway Cookie Co. in Rimersburg and at the Knight Spot Restaurant in Rimersburg. She was a member of the Sligo Chapel. Mrs. Hopper enjoyed riding the Harley-Davidson motorcycle with her husband and enjoyed her children and her family. She was married in the Church of God in Templeton Sept. 25, 1993, to Michael Allen Hopper, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Alexandria D. Hopper and Hannah M. Hopper, both at home; her mother, Susan D. "Maya" Smith of Rimersburg; a sister, Candy Johnston and husband, Jason, of Rimersburg; a niece, Shana Johnston, and a nephew, Chase Johnston, both of Rimersburg. She also is survived by her maternal grandfather, Samuel Hook of Rimersburg; paternal grandmother, Adaline Beabout of East Brady; her mother-in-law, Janet E. Hopper of Ford City; her father-in-law, Gary B. Hopper of Templeton; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Hopper and Kevin Hopper, both of Ford City; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Eugene Beabout, Jan. 16, 1986; her maternal grandmother, Laura "Dude" Hook, Oct. 10, 2004; her paternal grandfather, Russell O. Beabout, Jan. 14, 2000; and her stepfather, Cary Smith, June 23, 2001. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home in Rimersburg. Born July 21, 1947, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Ruth Powell Pardieck, who resided in Palo Alto, Calif. Mrs. Keely was employed as a social worker for Davidson County DSS. She was a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Mrs. Keely's favorite activities included swimming, reading, making pottery and working in the yard. She was married to George Eric Keely, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Eric Keely of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; and two daughters, Shannon Keely and Courtney Kilgore and husband, Scott, all of Greensboro, N.C.; She also is survived by a sister, Carolyn Futagaki of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and her faithful dog, Regina. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1900 Walker Ave., Greensboro, N.C. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Elsie A. Rankin Wheeling Elsie A. Rankin Wheeling, 86, of Oil City, died at 4:02 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, in the Oil City Presbyterian Home. The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Tuesday in The Derrick. Clifford A. Wice Clifford A. Wice, 72, of Laurel Terrace, Franklin, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Aug. 25, 1932, in Oil City, he was the son of James A. and Freda V. Hartzell Wice. He had lived in the Oil City/Cranberry area all of his life. Mr. Wice had been employed in the maintenance department at Joy Manufacturing for a number of years. Surviving are two brothers, Tom Wice of Plumer and James Wice of Oil City; several nieces and nephews; and three close friends, Betty M. Johnston of Oil City and Paul Hoover and Jim Reed, both of Franklin. Mr. Wice was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Norbert R. Wice and Russell Wice; and four sisters, Hilda M. Harris, Helen M. McLaughlin, Edna G. Wice and Melda Wice. It was Mr. Wice's wishes to be cremated with no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery. Eugene Allen Winchester Eugene Allen Winchester, 74, of Route 68, Rimersburg, Sandy Hollow area, died Saturday evening, Dec. 4, 2004, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo, following a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 18, 1930, in Lock Haven, he was the son of Harry Leonard and Rhea Wagner Winchester. He attended the Jersey Shore schools. Mr. Winchester was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the military police in Germany, Japan and Austria. He and his wife, Pauline, owned the Rocket Hotel in Bradys Bend for 18 years and then Polly's Ice Cream on Route 68 in Sandy Hollow from 1991 to 1999. Mr. Winchester retired from the Butler VA Medical Center where he was employed for 38 years as the maintenance foreman. While living in Butler, he was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church and was a honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus in Butler. Mr. Winchester enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was married in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Bastress July 26, 1952, to the former Paul E. Wool, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and their wives, Eugene A. Jr. and Debra Winchester of Weedville, Gordon J. and Alice Winchester of Rimersburg and Jeffrey Lee and Brenda Winchester of Butler; three daughters, Patricia J. Morris and friend, Jeff McFall, of Monongahela, Robin Belmont and friend, Raymond Moretti, of Rimersburg and Debbie Kelzenberg and husband, Randy, of Derby, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one brother, Scott Winchester and wife, Mary Lee, of Avis; two sisters, Blanche Wool of Coudersport and Ruth Ann Showers and husband, James, of Jersey Shore; and a sister-in-law, Mary Wool of Rimersburg, who resides with the Winchesters. Delbert E. "Del" "Deb" Williams Delbert E. "Del" "Deb" Williams, 55, formerly of Oil City and Statesville, N.C., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at his residence in Erie. Born April 27, 1949, in Titusville, he was the son of the late Josephine Wright and Orrie Williams. He was a 1969 graduate of West Forest High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Williams had been employed for 10 years as a machinist at Asmo North Carolina located in Statesville, N.C. He was previously employed by U.S. Steel, Oilwell Supply, in Oil City for 16 years. He had lived in the Erie area since 2001. His interests included hunting and fishing. He was married July 24, 1970, to the former Melody K. Burk, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Buffy and Fred Ostwalt of Troutman, N.C., and Suzanne and John Smith of Edinboro; a sister, Betty Abbott and her husband, Walter, of Florida; two brothers, Francis Williams and his wife, Betty, of Wyoming, and Maynard Williams of Lottsville; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Daniel Watts of Troutman and Zane and Cara Smith of Edinboro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a twin brother, Gilbert Williams; and a sister, Joyce Johnson.
