Kathlyn "Kay" Morris, Sligo Bobby Joe Richard Myers, 132 Mountain View Road, Oil City Olivia A. Staub, Erie, formerly of South Second Avenue, Clarion Helen G. Hazlett Helen G. Hazlett, 78, formerly of 714 11th St., Franklin, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in The Caring Place, Franklin. Born Aug. 4, 1926, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Ira T. and Blanche M. McCallum Hazlett. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Miss Hazlett worked for 33 years at General Manifold. She attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Franklin, Surviving are a sister-in-law, Violet Hazlett of Franklin; two nieces, Terry Lynn Hazlett of Franklin and Debra Kay Smith and husband, Gary, of Polk; and several cousins. In addition to her parents, Miss Hazlett was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Clarence Hazlett. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Guy, Caring Place pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Caring Place, 103 N. 13th St., Franklin, 16323. Thomas M. Linehan Jr. Thomas M. Linehan Jr., 62, formerly of Towne Towers, Oil City, died at 12:54 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in The Caring Place, Franklin, after an extended illness. Born Sept. 10, 1942, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Thomas M. and Kathryn E. McElhatten Linehan. He was a 1960 graduate of Oil City High School. Mr. Linehan had worked for 20 years as a craneman and inspector at J&L Steel and Van Huffel Tube in Oil City. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Linehan's hobbies included woodworking and golf. He was an avid sports fan, liked racing and had owned his own race car. He formerly was married to Nancy Rankin, who survives. Also surviving are two children and their spouses, Joseph Linehan and Bridget Marie Murray of Mount Lebanon and Kathryn Linehan and David Siu of Washington, D.C.; and three grandchildren, Edward "Ned" Linehan and Maura Linehan, both of Mount Lebanon, and Oscar Linehan-Siu of Washington, D.C.. He also is survived by four sisters and one brother, Judy Kervin of Woodland, Calif., Jeanne Linehan of Franklin, Kathryn Ritchie of Port Chester, N.Y., John Linehan of Spring, Texas, and Mary Christine Linehan of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Msgr. John W. Swoger, pastor of St. Joseph Church, presiding. Committal will take place at the convenience of the family. Kathlyn "Kay" Morris, 75, a lifelong resident of Sligo, died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo. Born June 15, 1929, in Huey, she was the daughter of Jesse and Viola Yoder Bobbert. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and was a member of the Rimersburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was married Feb. 14, 1947, in Sligo to Jim Morris, who died Aug. 26, 2003. Surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Joe Bobbert; four sisters, Joyce Salizonni, Enid Whited, Valjean Guisuite and Betty Reedy; and a twin sister, Cathleen, who died at birth. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Winan Montgomery of the Rimersburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Interment will be in Sligo Cemetery. Bobby Joe Richard Myers Bobby Joe Richard Myers, 40, of 132 Mountain View Road, Oil City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004. Born Jan. 17, 1964, in Oil City, he was the son of Harry R. and Beulah Smith Myers. Mr. Myers owned and operated Myers Tree Service. Surviving are his mother, Beulah Myers of Oil City; a son, Bobby Joe Myers Jr. of Oil City; two brothers, Jim Myers and wife, Lori, of Rouseville, and Jody Myers of Venus; and a sister, Darlene Holcomb of Oil City. He also is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Dallas Rowland, Dakota Rowland, Jamie and Rich Roos, Eric and Amy Hogue, Gage Myers, Leigha Myers and Angie Myers; and five great-nieces and great-nephews, Christine Myers, Michael Myers, Austin Horner, Ashley Myers and Ryan Hogue. Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his father. There will be no visitation. Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Venus Cemetery. The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Olivia A. Staub Olivia A. Staub, 98, formerly of South Second Avenue, Clarion, died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in the infirmary at Mount Saint Benedict Monastery, Erie, where she had resided. Born Nov. 25, 1906, in Lucinda, she was the daughter of Jacob A. and Emma C. Huefner Staab. She attended St. Joseph School in Lucinda and graduated from the first two-year commercial class of 1923. Miss Staub worked for five years for Pennsylvania Electric Co. in Clarion and then was employed for 45 years in the business office at Clarion State College, now Clarion University. She served as a clerk, bookkeeper, accountant assistant and administrative officer, and upon her retirement in 1974 she had set a record for the length of her services to the college. She was an oblate of Mount Saint Benedict Monastery, Erie. Miss Staub was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. She was a life member of the Catholic Daughters of America and received her 50-year membership pin in 1977. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Miss Staub was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles A. Staab Sr., Bernard F. Staab and James A. Staub Sr.; and three sisters, Mrs. Thomas C. (Marie) Murphy Sr., Miss Cecilia C. Staub and Mrs. Arthur (Winifred) Hill. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, Clarion. A wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, with Msgr. Joseph J. Riccardo, pastor, presiding. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
