Walz, 131 Miller Road, Franklin Gloria Mawn Wiesner, formerly of Oil City Delbert E. "Del" "Deb" Williams, formerly of Oil City J. William "Bill" Phero, getting it right Kathleen E. Anderson Kathleen E. Anderson, 81, a guest at Laurelbooke Landing and formerly of Summerville, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at McKinley Health Care Center. Born Nov. 1, 1923, in Heathville, she was the daughter of Lawrence Gearhart and Nellie Fenstermaker Gearhart. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and teacher's aide for the Brookville school system for many years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Bible Church in Summerville. She was a past member and active in church affairs with Summerville United Methodist Church. She also hosted the Good News Club of Jefferson County. She was married to John R. "Randy" Anderson, who preceded her in death on March 6, 1992. Surviving are three sons, John R. Anderson and wife, Carole, of Clarion, Stephen R. Anderson and wife, Judi, of Brookville, and David P. Anderson and wife, Crystal, of Brookville; a brother, Ronald Miller of Carpenterville, Ill.; two sisters, Donna Miller of St. Marys and Patty Bennett of Brookville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Crooks; and a sister, Helen Fenstermaker. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. today at the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with Pastor Randy L. Evans officiating. Burial will be in Ohl Cemetery, Beaver Township, Jefferson County. The family suggests memorials be made to the Clarion-Forest VNA, Box 668, Knox, 16232; or a charity of the donor's choice. Peggy L. Walz Peggy L. Walz, 72, of 131 Miller Road, Franklin, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at her residence. Born Aug. 18, 1932, in Franklin, she was a daughter of Frank and Bessie Abel Phillips. Mrs. Walz was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School. She retired after 25 years with J.C. Penney and was a partner with her husband in Walz Tire and Auto Repair. She was also a volunteer at Liberty Street Antiques. She was an associate member of the Franklin Elks and enjoyed bowling. She was married Jan. 18, 1952, to Edward W. Walz, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Freddie Trinch and Bobbi Walz, both of Franklin; a son, Bernard Walz and wife, Kim, of Franklin; four grandchildren, Chris Trinch, Chad Trinch, Richard Roos and wife, Jamie, all of Franklin, and Joe Roos of Harrisburg; two great-grandchildren, Madison Trinch and Austin Horner, both of Franklin; and two sisters, Shirley Beightol and husband, William, of Franklin, and Dorothy Heckathorne of Burleson, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ken, Dick, George and Paul Phillips; and four sisters, Jerry Ferry, Frances Ditzenberger, Jean Murrin and Anita Phillips. There will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Gloria Mawn Wiesner Gloria Mawn Wiesner, 78, a former Oil City resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, in Orlando, Fla. She was born Nov. 10, 1926, in St. Marys. Mrs. Wiesner was a graduate of Seton Hill College. She was a devoted elementary school music teacher for many years. She was married to the late Gale Michael Wiesner, former vice president of production for Quaker State Oil Corp. Mrs. Wiesner is survived by a loving son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Darlene Wiesner of Orlando; a sister, Mary Ann O'Brien of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, John T. Mawn of St. Marys; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Fla. A private burial service is planned in Oil City at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of the Comforter, 595 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Spring, Fla., 32714. Delbert E. "Del" "Deb" Williams Delbert E. "Del" "Deb" Williams, 55, formerly of Oil City and Statesville, N.C., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at his residence in Erie. Born April 27, 1949, in Titusville, he was the son of the late Josephine Wright and Orrie Williams. He was a 1969 graduate of West Forest High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Williams had been employed for 10 years as a machinist at Asmo North Carolina located in Statesville, N.C. He was previously employed by U.S. Steel, Oilwell Supply, in Oil City for 16 years. He had lived in the Erie area since 2001. His interests included hunting and fishing. He was married July 24, 1970, to the former Melody K. Burk, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Buffy and Fred Ostwalt of Troutman, N.C., and Suzanne and John Smith of Edinboro; a sister, Betty Abbott and her husband, Walter, of Florida; two brothers, Francis Williams and his wife, Betty, of Wyoming, and Maynard Williams of Lottsville; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Daniel Watts of Troutman and Zane and Cara Smith of Edinboro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a twin brother, Gilbert Williams; and a sister, Joyce Johnson. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Hutchinson Funeral Home, 201 Bissell Ave., Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Kennedy, pastor of Draketown Christian Church in Edinboro, officiating.
