Heasley, 71, of 235 Buffalo St., Franklin, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at her residence. Born July 30, 1933, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Blaine and Mary Sickles Griffin. Up until the time of her death, Mrs. Heasley worked as a print room clerk at Joy Manufacturing for more than 45 years. Mrs. Heasley was a member of Franklin Moose Auxiliary No. 83 and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 476. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, animals and helping less fortunate people. Mrs. Heasley was married Sept. 9, 1956, to Glenn R. Heasley, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Terry L. Heasley of York and Mary Elaine Ray and husband, Joseph, of Franklin; a stepdaughter, Debra Sue Reagle and husband, William, of Polk; and three grandchildren, Jason L. Heasley of York, Heidi Matchett and husband, Jason, of Sterling, Va., and William Reagle Jr. of Yellow Springs, Ohio. She also is survived by two brothers, Louis D. Frankenberger of Franklin and Blaine Griffin and wife of Seneca; and one sister, Emily Doutt of Buena Park, Calif. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Heasley was preceded in death by a stepson, Roland Heasley; a granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Ray; and one brother, William Frankenberger. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home with the Rev. Samuel Gibb, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Franklin, officiating. Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, 2724 Deep Hollow Road, Franklin, 16323; or to Community Services, 39 Parker Ave., Franklin, 16323. Edward C. McGuinness Edward C. McGuinness, 70, of 610 Elk St., Franklin, died at 5:04 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, in his home following an illness. Born Nov. 22, 1934, in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of John and Bri Small McGuinness. Mr. McGuinness graduated from high school in New York and later from Pace University with a degree in business. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. McGuinness first was employed with Otis Elevator Co. installing elevators in different buildings throughout New York City. He then worked at Chase Bank in New York City and retired from there as vice president. After retiring from Chase, he worked for Equitable and Met Life in New York and also retired from there. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. McGuinness enjoyed bird watching, crossword puzzles, classical music and especially his grandchildren. He was married Jan. 16, 1960, to the former Aloyse O'Heir, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Edward C. and Geraldine McGuinness of Utica and Paul A. and Barbara McGuinness of Franklin; two daughters, Regan A. McGuinness of Wingdale, N.Y., and Seana A. McGuinness of Moon Township; and six grandchildren, Edward, Kathleen and Sarah McGuinness of Utica and Sean, Ryan and Megan McGuinness of Franklin. He also is survived by a brother, Michael McGuinness and wife, Mary, of Scranton. In addition to his parents, Mr. McGuinness was preceded in death by a son, Owen F. McGuinness; and a brother, John McGuinness. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick Church with the Rev. Robert Manning presiding. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery. The Huff Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
